Re: DLC Speculation
It would be great if they did another Daedric Realm. I'm thinking Azura. So beautiful it makes mortals half-blind! (I think one of the first quests could be getting around this obstacle). However, my only worry is that the questline could turn out a little to similar to Shivering Isles, although that expansion was amazing so i wouldn't complain too much
. As long as that doesn't happen, i'll be more than happy to visit another realm.

Yes! Moonshadow would be one Realm I would really like to visit, and actually one of the two I was thinking of when I posted before, the other being Attribution Share.

Ooooh, that one sounds very cool as well. The maze gardens would be fun to explore, and you would always have to be careful as to who you trust, because of betrayals being very common.

Re: DLC Speculation
High Rock, anyone? We haven't seen it since Daggerfall...'tis the home of the Bretons? Guys...guys?
Edit: On a more serious note, I think we'll deal with the Falmer in a DLC, and the Thalmor in another region in the expansion (most likely Hammerfall then). If I had to guess, that is.

Re: DLC Speculation
Well if we go with wild speculation that has no relevance but at the same all the relevance, we can see Skyrim has Dragons in it and Hammerfell has Dragonstar, but at the same time it's called Hammerfell just like an iron hammer WHICH IS IN SKYRIM. Coincidence?! I think not. Join the dots guys, the DLC is in Elsweyr.

Re: DLC Speculation
I agree for most of them, but High Rock is pretty small comparatively and also has a weird shape that I don't think would fit for a whole game's map. They could either ignore it, since it was done in Daggerfall anyway, or add it to another province as a DLC/expansion, or simply combine it with Hammerfell for the main game itself.OblivionDuruza wrote:I actually do not want to see another Province as a DLC, because I think each province really deserves it's own game. Maybe a small peice of one like Blacklight or Solstheim, but not too much. I'd rather a Daedric Plane or some expansion of Skyrim itself.
And I do think those areas will be used again quite soon. I think Bethesda wants to stick to the more traditional fantasy areas for sales reasons.
And Blacklight would be good because I doubt we will go back to Morrowind anytime soon as a full game.

Re: DLC Speculation
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't High Rock made up of city-states? Why not focus on one of them, or a couple/outlining areas? Honestly, has anything happened there in recent lore?
Also, I'm aware that the word "city-state" rings badly in many players' ears after Dragon Age 2, but surely Bethesda can do better than Kirkwall?
Edit: Important note: A remake of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_MY0ihuJZc (or modernization, whatever you want to call it) would be sweet beyond comparison.

Athens, Sparta, and all those city-states.
I'd like to see High Rock again, but I'm not sure how they'd tie it into Skyrim.

Orsinium is fairly small enough to do, and i think it would be interesting.

Re: DLC Speculation
The game is skyrim. We are talking about expansions. Chances are, they won't do a seperate province in a game already based on a province. Oblivion plane, small extra land (like solstheim) would be high pOssibilities.
The dwemer return would be really cool! But I feel that robots kind of take away from the whole medieval fantasy feel of the game. But it's the people choice not mine.
If they were to go to another province I think it would be either orsinium (it's not huge) cyrodiil (continue the war), or Morrowind (didn't the dark else get driven out after the volcano? And the argonians took it over?). Since dark elves are like monority in skyrim, this could be a dark elves lOvers chance to return and play the expansion to visit their home land.
Doubt it will happen. My money is 100% on continue the war.
Do you think that Beth will make more than 2 expansions?

Re: DLC Speculation
My bet is they'll make 2 or 3 expansions and some smaller bits of DLC, as they said they were going with the "less is more" approach. So i definately don't think that Beth will create as many small plug-ins as Oblivion, if any at all.

Re: DLC Speculation
I think Orsinium a lot now will come to fruition. The more I read into it, they wouldn't just place the New Orsinium on the border of Skyrim if they weren't THINKING of something? Would they? I may be wrong, but something smells strange about that.

Re: DLC Speculation
Ancient Greece...but with French, English and Celtic influences. It's just...wonderful.
But as others have stated, we probably won't return to a province we've already been to (I could see Cyrodiil though, heart of the empire and lots of stuff going on etc). I really think we'll deal with the Thalmor in Hammerfall. A friend of mine thought the same, but in Elswyr.
I don't know about you, but I don't want another plane of oblivion. It was awesome, if a bit out of place, in Oblivion. No need to include it in Skyrim. Another province or the Dwemer, that's what I'm guessing. Or something completely random, or expanding on the Dragons. The opportunities are limitless!

I want DLC that adds a couple of more available factions to the game. Not only will it be fun but it would add more replay value

Re: DLC Speculation
Where is all this talk about more provinces coming from? Skyrim is Skyrim. As far as DLC goes, I'd be very surprised if we got anything more than some new or enhanced quest lines,a few new safe-storage houses, some new objects, and other trinkets. But I think the game will remain focused on and limited within Skyrim's map.

As I've said before, duw to Dunmeth Pass being in the game I can really see a Morrowind DLC. Failing that, Falmer and the Thalmor themed DLC's!

Re: DLC Speculation
To be frank, that is like saying Pale Pass is in the game, so it must be Cyrodiil as DLC. But I am not doubting you ofcourse, just the reasoning seems off, to me that is. You may be right on all accounts after all.POMC S117 wrote:As I've said before, duw to Dunmeth Pass being in the game I can really see a Morrowind DLC. Nevertheless, I think the Dwemer returning is highly unlikely. I mean, how many race-returns can one game use? Return of the dragons, return of the Falmer and now the Dwemer? And really, I would think it to be very hard to get them just right. Both in appearance, personalities and everything else. And can you think of a solid reason why they would suddenly return? I think it would just be difficult to do is all. But prove me wrong, if you dare!

I completely agree with ^^. If anything the "Return of the Dwemer" would probably have a game of its own.

Re: DLC Speculation
i'm not all that far into the game as i seperate time between 2 characters. I waited to post until i read some posts, and noticed it wasn't said.
Beth has stated that the first 2 DLC will be released for the xbox 360 a whole month prior to being made available for either the PC or PS3... On top of that, Beth stated that these 2 DLCs will be of the substatial variety...
I'm not sure what to think this could mean, but I don't think it would be a stretch at all for at least one of them to deal with the Thalmor. Especially with the outrage the Nords have with the banning of Talos worship.
