Solstheim and the Thalmor... and perhaps something to do with the Dwemer/Falmer

Just commenting on all this talk of a province as DLC, I don't think it very plausible. though as an expansion part of a province doesn't seem to far out of the ballpark(i see some people have mentioned orsinium which does seem like something that might actually happen). As for DLC i would like to see perhaps the rebuilding of winterhold, or perhaps the addition of the volhakir clan(didnt spell that right).

Technically, the Volkihar vampires are already in the game. They appear as normal vampires who sometimes randomly spawn with the name 'Volkihar Vampire'. Though they are a lot stronger than normal vampires, considering I was bested along with two whiterun guards by a single Volkihar Vampire. But yeah I agree, a province is extremely unlikely.

Mainland Morrowind I think would be plausible. There's a gate on the border that you cannot cross... yet.

It's unlikely, but not impossible. Bethesda said they wanted to do something huge, and the Shivering Isles was pretty big. I think people are just hoping to go back to Morrowind :P (me included)

Orsinium would be nice but I would prefer a daedric realm. Perhaps Azura's?

A fair chunk of Tamriel can be found in-game outside the limits of Skyrim. Notably, Solstheim is not included, while most of Hammerfell, Cyrodiil, and about half of High Rock and Morrowind are. Perhaps this means that Beth has actual plans for creating a detailed Solstheim in later DLC?

i think i would like to visit the realm of the goblin hordes which live under glaciers and in volcanic tunnels under Skyrim.. so Skyrim GOTY would encompass the heights of throat of the world and the absolute depths of these subterranean tunnels, where perhaps the nerevarine or vivec is held captive, or they have an army of balrog type daedra ready to spew onto the world - i have seen some articles and tv shows about extreme cave exploring, and some of these places are beyond belief, would make an amazing location for this game

i dont think i want another bit of 'known' lore filled in by any dlc, suprise me

I posted on the official forums that I am hoping for a Blacklight DLC... it's a Morrowind city right next to Skyrim on that thin strip of land which would be easy to cut off from Morrowind proper. They have roads heading right to it with no blockage... makes me think it's possible.

An island North of Skyrim is very easy of course, but also pretty predictable. Would also be just like Bloodmoon... that's a DLC idea though, going back to Solstheim all these decades later.

High Rock would be pretty easy to do with Skyrim assets as well, and is small enough map-wise to maybe not get its own game. I could see them doing something there, maybe even the whole province if they do a real expansion pack.

Solstheim has the potential to be very different from Bloodmoon. For starters, the eruption may have caused a change in climate, or geography, and we know that the Dunmer are settled there. It might be very Morrowind like down South, particularly now that Fort Frostmoth has been gone for centuries, and it could be still Skaal up north.

Chaos even had the idea that the Dunmer may have used Magic to manipulate the environment and make it more like Morrowind, and if Bethesda wanted, they could do just this.

A Solstheim Mod could be an amazing project, akin to Tamriel Rebuilt on a lesser scale, and inspired by some of the ideas that came up on the Forums a while back.

I would love to see that... quick boat trip from Dawnstar and you're in Solstheim, with a new questline. All the assets one would need are in Skyrim, except for the Rieklings (sp?) I guess, but I wouldn't mind if Falmer were used instead anyway. The only problem of course, as it is with most mods, is voice acting.

It would be very difficult, but very, very rewarding I will say that. But Bethesda itself might create Solstheim in a DLC release, seeing as it is not part of the HUGE landmass included outside Skyrim, which spans more than half of Tamriel.

I want to see High Rock, Hammerfell and more Falmer. Especially High Rock. Might be possible with the Forsworn business!

I am betting Hammerfell is the setting for the next game. They seem to be sticking to the more "normal" looking provinces for now, either for sales or tech reasons, and High Rock would be too similar to Skyrim (plus it's shaped funny).

Just a theory though. I would LOVE to see Alinor or Elsweyr.

I have a very probable idea that they might actually do for a dlc. Ok im thinking after the valcano erupted in Morrowind most Dark elves went to Solsthiem. Im thinking you go to Solsthiem but that's not all I think since in Skyrim a Thieves Guild member says that she was once part of the Morag Tong but when the Valcano erupted they all went there seperate ways but promised to form again one day. So im thinking maybe you go to Solsthiem and the Morag Tong reforms there and starts back up since there's so many people who love Morrowind and alot of people want the Morag Tong back. That would be a real cool dlc except I would kill all Morag Tong since im in the DB :Twisted Evil:

noobishlord wrote:Definitely something with the Thalmor. The tension between them and any Nord in Skyrim is so thick you can cut it with a knife. And hopefully, that's JUST what we'll do to. Cut 'em with a knife.
This is what Im thinking. At the end of the Stormcloaks and Empire war, (I chose storm cloaks) I remember Ulfric and Galmar talking about how it's not over, the empire knew the Thalmor could only benefit from the war and they said now its our time to go and destroy those damn elves. Im all in.

It only makes sense to extend further into this war. They won't make a new game (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Part 2) sounds stupid. Unless they make a new game back in Cyrodiil and continue the war. But who wants to go back there? Lets either go to someplace new, or go finish the Thalmor and renew the Empire, letting Skyrim be in charge of the Nords. Lets see how those Thalmor like getting toasted by Odahviing! A Thalmor expansion could also show the rise of the Thalmor :0 If they win. Personally i think they're mean and don't deserve to rule Tamriel.

Anyways... Thats my say in this thingy... Can anyone speculate when an expansion would be released?

Altmer is the new Falmer. LETS PUT THEM IN THE GROUND!

I thinking it may well be Summerset Isles. I think they are trying to keep the high fantasy aspect of the series to a minimum with the main games with the more "out there" settings as DLC. My Nord warrior-mage will look so out of place there lol.

Then again they could have a DLC not related to the Thalmor or the storyline at all like Knights of the Nine.
Do you mind? I'm doing the fishstick. It's a very delicate state of mind.

They could do something like that. And keep in mind summerset isles is home of the altmer and therefore lots of thalmor.

I, myself, still feel that I havnt seen enough dragon. Dragon related expansion? Could the remaining dragons be part of the war?

I have a feeling they might want to keep dragons around for the rest of the series, just as really cool monsters to break up the Goblins, Bandits, and Daedra.

the return of the Dwemer now has my number 1 vote, i am enjoying investigating dwemer archaeology a lot in Skyrim, and all of a sudden feel they might imminently return, and that they might not be very nice..

also Jen, my merc, keeps telling me that "some say the Dwemer will return", usually as we sneak around dangerous and awe inspiring dwemer ruins

i feel that Morrowind and Skyrim seem both to be the main Dwemer places as far as the games go, so you could deal with that race wholly within these two games, and still have them disappear again forever (?) it might also only be one clan of dwemer return, with no idea what happened to the rest of them

go Dwemer

I actually do not want to see another Province as a DLC, because I think each province really deserves it's own game. Maybe a small peice of one like Blacklight or Solstheim, but not too much. I'd rather a Daedric Plane or some expansion of Skyrim itself.
