resist poison and muffle enchantments, where to get?
I have found all the enchantments I want though purchasing items from vendors, except the resist poison and muffle one.
Nobody seems to sell those. I have checked a lot of vendors a lot of times. Their randomized wares just never have anything with resist poison and muffle.
Does anybody have any clues for me on where to get these enchantments?
Thanks.

Re: resist poison and muffle enchantments, where to get?
Muffle, I believe, counts only in spells, as I do not think it ever exists in item form. For that, it usually says 'Sneaking is quieter by #%', which, I suppose, would count as Muffle. However, I believe the only ones that can do that are boots. And I don't know if they can be broken down
Resist Poison, for what I can see, doesn't appear in item form. It does apparently drop in loot, but where...I do not know. It will come up as amulets/necklaces wherever it does.

Re: resist poison and muffle enchantments, where to get?
The thing is, The Elder scrolls wiki claims they do exist.
Also I have seen some forum chatter (don't know where anymore) about some muffle boots being disenchantable and others not....
Since I haven't seen ANY muffle boots, I must be missing out on something...

Re: resist poison and muffle enchantments, where to get?
Might be something wrong, because that is coming back as a broken page.
Anyway, the only muffle boots I have seen are the Dark Brotherhood's and, since they are counted as 'unique armour', it cannot be broken down. Some are...where they are, I cannot say.

He meant to put http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Enchanting
And that list is probably from looking at the code in the game, not necessarily from actually doing it.
I too have only seen that enchantment on the boots from the Dark Brotherhood

Muffle enchants are hard to come by. I've only ever found one pair of boots with the enchant on them. Just keep checking armor vendors and/or pray for a lucky drop. The enchant will only appear on boots, and has no magnitude, so a petty soul gem is sufficient for the enchant.

I found elven boots with the muffle enchant in some dungeon, so they do exist, and I'm pretty sure I was able to disenchant them. I'm at my parent's house so I can't check, sorry.

I was lucky and got a pair of muffle boots as random loot from a chest just now.
It is disenchantable and yes you can dual-enchant it with fortify sneak if you have the Extra Effect perk.
Now, has anyone seen Resist Poison yet?

I haven't yet. Yet being the operative word. Resist Disease also seems to be exceedingly rare. (BETHESDA Y U NERF ARGONIANS?!? :p )SuperNull wrote:I was lucky and got a pair of muffle boots as random loot from a chest just now.

The Daedric Artifacts can't be disenchanted, however.zzar wrote:Savior's Hide - Increases Poison Resistance by 50%, got through a daedra, http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Ill_Met_By_Moonlight

Doesn't the Dark Brotherhood armor have a 50% resist poison effect? Can you disenchant that?

Unlikely that you can disenchant that. A lot of unique items are not disenchantable. Gauldur's Amulet, Saardal amulet, etcMusicman247 wrote:Doesn't the Dark Brotherhood armor have a 50% resist poison effect? Can you disenchant that?

Re: resist poison and muffle enchantments, where to get?
I managed to find a pair upon Stonehill Bluff up in the north on the side of a mountain. I'm not sure if world chests have random drops based upon preset parameters when you start a new game, but if they're not set when you initially start the game, then give that place a shot. For those that haven't found the location, it's SouthWest of Fort Dunstad about 3/4 the way up the Eastern face of the mountain. (Dwarven boots of Muffling)

None of the DB apparel can be disenchanted, at least from what i've seen, and I've completed the quest line.
From my experience, once your sneak gets high enough, or if you have enough sneak enchantments, the muffle effect doesn't seem to matter at all.

I can however confirm that muffle is good if you are wearing heavy armor and are not sneaking. You get to see the enemy first (before they see you) way more often in dungeons. You can start combat on your own terms then.
If you maxed your resistances and don't need the stamina then muffle + melee-weapon-damage is the enchant to take on a heavy armor character.

Yeah I can definitely see the advantage of a heavy armor, non-sneak character with muffle. Its nice surprising drauger instead of them surprising you when running through a dungeonSuperNull wrote:I can however confirm that muffle is good if you are wearing heavy armor and are not sneaking. Re: resist poison and muffle enchantments, where to get?
I've been keeping an eye out for the muffle enchantment for most of my 200 hours logged in Skyrim. I finally found it at a vendor. It happened to be the final vendor added to the Thieves Guild as part of the "Restoring the Thieves Guild" side quest line. (Markarth for me) It may be easier/possible to find at thieves guild vendors, or that might have just been coincidence.
