Dragon Priests scared the hell out of me the first time I encountered one.

Forsaken. Magic spitting, dual wielding jerks. The Briarhearts are creepy, as are the hagravens.

The Chaurus I hate the Chaurus despite my high magics they just won't die easy and they're bloody fast and strong to boot!
Hagravens are super annoying and deadly unless you can kill them from afar with magic while having the muffle perk

Re: Scariest Skyrim Mob So Far?
I don't find anything in Skyrim remotely scary or even unnerving.
But i think thats just a mental tolerance i've developed by playing Amnesia The Dark Descent in the middle of the night lately.

Im like level 25 now, and can fight Dragon Priests and Blood Dragons like they were nothing
Bears... Bears still keep me on the edge of my seat and can easily kill me if i screw up
Also Im starting to feel that Armor isnt working properly in this game, I have 250 Armor (from Alteration, not actual Armor) and still get 1 shotted by Bears

I beg to differ about the armor not working properly. My tank character has an armor rating of over 400 right now, and most normal mobs barely scratch her (this is on the default difficulty).Talamare wrote:Also Im starting to feel that Armor isnt working properly in this game, I have 250 Armor (from Alteration, not actual Armor) and still get 1 shotted by Bears
On topic: I don't know about the scariest, but the absolute toughest enemy I've encountered so far was an arch electromancer while doing A Night to Remember. Electricity is the only element I have no resistance to, and this caster was dual-wielding lightning bolts. Close to 400HP and she was knocking off about a quarter of my health with each bolt. I couldn't get close enough to kill her. I ended up having to turn the difficulty all the way down, activate elemental fury, and still had to drink like three potions to stay alive during the fight. I would've rather fought Krosis again...
Signatures are overrated.

Re: Scariest Skyrim Mob So Far?
I actually love Draugr, seeing as they are basically advanced skeleton, in the fact that they can move faster and use magic (IIRC
). For my least favorite, I'd have to go with Falmer. Last time I fought them, I was around level 7 and got my behind handed to me via their scraggy hands.

Re: Scariest Skyrim Mob So Far?
Ive learned why, basically there are massive amounts of hidden armor you receive while wearing actual armor, that you do not gain while using Alteration Armor + Clothperylousdemon wrote:I beg to differ about the armor not working properly. So while the game says your Armor is 400, its actually probably around 600-700, while Alteration Armor actually is what it states

The sound effects in the game is stunning and when combined with these half dead horrors, it is a really scarry experiance. The Draugr is currently responsible for my physcological breakdown.

Hagravens, including my ''unfortunately'' deceased ex-fiancé. Frost Trolls ''Wrraaack-wrraaack!'' they hit me twice and I'm dead. Chauruses (Chauri?) disgusting little creatures. They have more health than Lord British himself and they spit venom that takes away a third of my health!
Saber Cats, atleast untill i decided my litning was two slow and i KILED IT WITH MY BEAR FISTS!!1!
Suprisingly, I'm completely okay with Frosbite Spiders, despite having Entomophobia (a fear of insects). How can my brain know that spiders ain't insects?

Re: Scariest Skyrim Mob So Far?
I have put in just over 100hrs... and only just recently heard half the noises of all the above listed creatures make. I have been one shot some times two shot killing them sneak/bow style the whole time. The only time I get to see them up close is when I'm searching the bodies. I have Archery at 100 now and and I'm working some more of one handed (dual dagger) so I actually get to hear the noises they make... after this long... I'm more like... "oh you make a noise" rather than be scared of it.
Re: Scariest Skyrim Mob So Far?
Some of you think on using stone of atronach?
My lvl 12 hero have impresive active efect stats.
Im litle mor concerned on fatigue lost then health.
About alternation part i can only say you need shield becouse it stack whit
Alternation protective spells and in master level trie to get Dragonhide.
And do use shuts and shield attack to keep your head in pleace.
I killed a bear but do i not like Sabre Cat.

Falmer, they remind me too much of the monsters from the movie, The Descent.
That, and their tendency to hide out in giant underground cities really creeps me out.

Wince! And I thought dropping into a room and finding 2 Deathlords, a Restless and a Wight after me were bad. Still trying to complete the room after umpteen attempts. Down to one melee Deathlord though so if I can keep the range open ...j31c3n wrote:During a Thieves Guild quest where you are running with a partner through a Nord barrow, I ran across a room that literally contained eight Draugr Death Overlords, and all the doors slammed shut.

Re: Scariest Skyrim Mob So Far?
Did my Glenmoril Witch quest glitch or something?
I'm reading that they were scary, but all I did on that quest was three-shot a vanilla Hagraven with my bow, take her head and head merrily on my way. Is there perhaps another quest related to them beyond the lycanthropy related one?
Sorry to go off topic, I'd just really like to know.
On topic: I've found nothing scary in Skyrim so far, but the monotone dialogue of reanimated people is somewhat disquieting, I must admit.

I HATE going into Draugr dungeons alone. I usually pull out the Sanguine Rose, or equip Fire Rune and run away. I hate how they always just swarm on you, and come out of now where.
