Mouse Buttons - Playing on PC
Playing on PC: Is there a clear and at least somewhat comprehensive guide to using the L and R mouse buttons? I see notes here and there on different sites mentioning that equipping a weapon/spell with one button actually assigns it to another, and a tidbit here and there about managing items in both hands, but I can't seem to put it all together to get a basic understanding of how it all works. I'm at level 11 and still getting things done with a lot of trial and error. Confused! Thanks.

Re: Mouse Buttons - Playing on PC
What people are saying is that the default keyboard/mouse controls for the game are a little funny.
It's set up so your primary mouse button, the one you use all the time for clicking things, is the trigger for your right hand. The secondary mouse button is the trigger for your character's left hand...
In other words, the game's set up so you click the left button to attack with your right hand, and vice versa. It just seems weird to do that.
Happily, you can always change the controls in the setting menu so your left button is for your left hand, the right button for the right hand.

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Thanks. That is a good start. I guess I was thinking of it as "they set it up backwards," but left it as is until I could try to figure it out. You gave me a simpler way of thinking about it that can help me develop a better mastery of the most basic actions. I'm still confused by how some things are replaced or not, depending on what they are and which hand they're in, how to combine and use different things in different hands/with different buttons. My dream was (is?) that someone might have written a sort of "how to use the mouse buttons to do various things" guide.

Also, do not bind extra mouse buttons, they glitch.
