Milk Drinker?
Some Orc appeared and said I was a milk drinker or something. So after intimidating him he attacked and I killed him. Made my day. =D
Anyone else had this happen?

Re: Milk Drinker?
Yes, milk drinker is an insult, my guess would be a nod to shows ad movies where the "Weakling" gose in to a bar and orders milk, and evrey one looks at him
Real men, and girls in this case, drik ale.
or thats how i see it
OR, I've only had Orc's say this, it may be a refrece to the idea that your race requires breast feeding but idk bbout that one

Re: Milk Drinker?
Ale and mead.
This is Skyrim: those Nords are tough. Let us not forget there was a book in game that ran something like, and I quote, "The only way it would have been more Nord is if he challenged the dragon to a drinking contest!"
Not that I kill people who call me a "milk drinker." I just poke 'em in the eyes and then get 'em when they least expect it. Suckers.

Re: Milk Drinker?
Do Orcs not breastfeed? Argonians, maybe, but...er, probably more details than we need to know.Wolfie wrote:OR, I've only had Orc's say this, it may be a refrece to the idea that your race requires breast feeding but idk bbout that one
Also a good possibility! I imagine even little Nord kids drink mead. And I don't blame them - the stuff is delicious.Musicman247 wrote:Could he be calling you a baby?

I've had a Nord say this to me. While I was playing my Nord warrior, no less. So yeah, it has nothing to do with race. They just think they're all that. But I always get the last laugh...over their corpses.

Re: Milk Drinker?
I wonder why many npc's in the game are so profoundly keen on insulting. Like maul or maven.. Worse I cannot kill them for it and not get a bounty. =__=

Re: Milk Drinker?
I get it all the time - I just assumed npcs were calling me a whimp (which is of course what you would say to a snarling, blood splattered orc). Some axe to skull interaction normally puts an end to such confusion.

Re: Milk Drinker?
I assumed it was a reference to breast-feeding.
Re: Milk Drinker?
Orc womenz got breasts, so they use 'em unless they're a vestigal product of aesthetic evolution and being deformed by Boethia.

Classy. Besides, if Boethiah went and messed with Malacath's Orcs, there'd be a reckoning.everar wrote:Orc womenz got breasts, so they use 'em unless they're a vestigal product of aesthetic evolution and being deformed by Boethia.

When people refer to you as a "Milk Drinker" they mean that you're to dependent on the Empire too much.

Yeah. True nords drink mead. Milk is for weaklings like khajits.Wolfie wrote:I think its meant to say weakling honestly, like i said first
Re: Milk Drinker?
So many NPC's have called me that, as well as many that have called each other that.
Why are all these NPC's so keen on insulting each other? Its just a constant beratement of aggression in Skyrim.

Re: Milk Drinker?
Bah! Has anyone ever had real mead? Honey is one of the main ingredients, and isn't all that strong. The Nords are a bunch of honey suckers.strobacaxi wrote:Yeah. True nords drink mead. Milk is for weaklings like khajits.Wolfie wrote:I think its meant to say weakling honestly, like i said first
Now, there are some really tough men who drink milk. In Mongolia, a drink named koumiss is made from fermented mare's milk. A Mongolian nomad will begin to spend all day in the saddle even before he's out of diapers. Nords make themselves sound tougher than they really are. Pathetic honey gatherers. Have you ever tried milking a horse?

A nameless Orc in Falkreath just called my friend a milk-drinker and then randomly started attacking him in the middle of the inn. What?

Re: Milk Drinker?
This is the correct answer, this has actually been used in main dialogues for Skyrim. All other guesses are pure speculations.FrostMage79x wrote:When people refer to you as a "Milk Drinker" they mean that you're to dependent on the Empire too much.
