Opinions on the best male to marry... I'm undecided
I'm an adult female playing this, my BF IRL married Aela in the game (we play back and forth on the PS3)... I'm considering Farkas. Have any ladies here picked a guy yet? It seems like most posts on marriage are from a guys point of view. I'm not going to marry a merchant, that seems useless. I'm a Breton and I'm light armor, magic, stealth, some fighting more rogue-ish (I played one in WoW)... I'm trying to get a conversation on this going and hear some opinions before I make my decision.

As far as i can tell, every single person you marry starts a shop.

I usually go by looks, 'cause i'm a rather shallow RP'er.

Do you have to get married? I'm too busy killing dragons to be tied down.
Is gay marriage allowed? I wanna marry a chick.

Pick an orc. Once you go green, you won't go back.

Re: Opinions on the best male to marry... I'm undecided
I'm prob going to marry Farkas... I just finished the Companions, well main quest... I still havent even used beastform... eh... I guess Farkas then... The guys in the dark Brotherhood... I don't think so... except for the married guy lol... and most of the mages are ugly elves (The elves in Oblivion were MUCH better looking in my opinion! I won't do a dark elf character now too ugly and man-ish!) Farkas has a nice voice... his brothers voice would get annoying quick... I do LOVE the funny Arnold voices though lol

*puppy dog eyes* Yes, my thane?
Yeah... I am not liking the Star-Trek-like forehead ridges on the new elves. Although I must say, the High Elves are much improved. Darkies, though... Disappointment.

Re: Opinions on the best male to marry... I'm undecided
My character is married to Scouts-Many-Marshes- I'd recommend marriage to him, as living within Windhelm's Argonian assemblage will aptly entertain you until you're able to secure a more viable home. My suggestion seems a bit pointless, however, as you appear to be partial to more traditional choices. I'm not even sure who Farkas is, honestly.

If I can't marry Ulfric, I don't want to get married.

Really I want to just marry Sheogorath! But I was unable to ask him... Brydolf is unavailable as well... I don't like how the argonians look (they were cute in Oblivion) ... and I feel so sorry for the poor Khajiits! I guess I will propose...

Re: Opinions on the best male to marry... I'm undecided
I'm playing a Dunmer, but so far I've been far too busy to think about it =) (that's her excuse anyway)
And BTW I love what they look like, I find it an improvement over both Morrowind and Oblivion, the only detail I miss was the possibility for blue skin along with black.
As for husbands, I'm going for another elf, possibly Dunmer, I'm considering the shop owner in Windhelm, but I think I should take a good look at Riften before making a decision. (I know I do want a hard-working guy, and I don't care about combat prowess cause I'm not playing with any companion)
If you want a high elf, the chief bard Viarno in Solitude is a very nice Altmer, a bit proud, but not quite as irritatingly arrogant as most of them. He is not listed as available on any guide that I found though.

Sadly, he's not listed as one of the NPCs available for marriage: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Marriag ... be_marriedFrogmander wrote:Poor poor shaco-erm...cicero just wants to serve the listener!

Re: Opinions on the best male to marry... I'm undecided
Strongly considering marrying Scouts-Many-Marshes. I've found most of the men so far of other races somewhat insufferable; there was one Khajiit that I really liked, was hoping he was marriageable but he wasn't. Honestly considered gay-marrying the girl Argonian on the docks, but that just seems too plain... two female Argonians? Nah.
Seriously though... no marriageable Khajiit in Skyrim? WHY? >:[

Even though Farkas is a bit dumb, I grew quite fond of him during the companions questline. Though I ended up having Kára marry Argis the Bulwark, your housecarl in Markarth, he is quite hunky
