Dual-wield two identical weapons and favorites menu problem

Hey there,

my character uses two daggers in combat and sometimes spells (both hands) and bow. I use the (Un)favorite feature and there is my problem. I play on PS3, just so that you know.

I used 2x steel daggers obtained I-don't-even-know-where (one was self-crafted to be honest). Everything was fine, I switched to bow, one shot, went to favorite menu, clicked L1 (equip 1st dagger), moved one line lower, clicked R1 (equip 2nd dagger) and went melee.

Yesterday I have created 2x dwarven dagger and switched to them. Now if I use spells (both hands) or bow, I can't switch to daggers in the old way.

I see menu as follows

I highlight daggers line and click L1. The dagger equips and "(2)" on the line is gone, which would be ok if there appeared new line with the other dagger, so that I can clikc R1 on it. Apparently there is not. After equiping one of dagger, menu looks like this

I can make the second dagger (line) appear only by going into Items and favorite it again. This makes it for the first time. Next time I use my bow, i'm on the beginning again and I can't fast equip both daggers from favorite menu.

There wasn't this problem with Steel daggers, which makes me think about it a lot.

Does somebody else have this problem? Can someone try it for me?

I suspect ID's of daggers to matter in this case. The best way to try it would be to craft two weapons right in the same time and try it that way.

I would try pushing both your L1 and R1 on the same line. The arrow with the L or R inside of it should change to LR. I hope this helps, my friend.

This happens with a lot of identical weapons on a random basis I believe. This happened to me while trying to dual wield Drainheart Swords. You hot key two, then they show up as Drainheart Sword (2) with the same prolem

Now I'm having the same issue, except with twin fine steel daggers. So far, all I could suggest is enchanting, or using a different weapon. Hopefully Bethesda will patch this.

I solved it by enchanting. However the bug still persists. Should I report it to Bethesda? Anyone know how?

Exactly the same here with two identical "fine" steel swords. Eventually swapped them out for a couple of magic weapons I found, gave the swords to Lydia for a while and have now sold them on. I haven't reported it, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else, but can confirm that the problem is exactly as you state, at least on PS3. And no: pressing L1 and R1 simultaneously doesn't help, unfortunately!

The problem exists on the 360 too and is really annoying.

I have this problem, too, but it seems like left-clicking on it three times in the favorites menu will equip both weapons if you switch from a bow. Switching from a spell, on the other hand, forces you to open your inventory and do it that way. Pain in the butt.

I am on the 360 and have this issue aswell with any sword i equip. I find if you switch from a bow or 2 handed weapon it automatically puts both swords into you hand on the first click, but switching from any one handed item/spell/weapon i have this issue.
