Hieronymus Lex dropped his sword and I, being the polite gentleman I am picked it for him. He thought I was the Gray Fox trying to humiliate him by stealing the sword in broad daylight, so he had me arrested indefinitely. Realizing I wasn't the Gray Fox, he feared that if anyone found out I was wrongly accused, he could get fired, so he just kind of left me there and forgot about me.

My Imperial was on a long voyage at sea, and while passing though Bravil back to the waterfront district, accidentilly launched a spell clear over the walls, knocking down many shacks and forcing the residents to scavange for building material.
But being all goody goody, he turned himself in.

My character was put in jail for public indecency, or rather, for seeing the public indecency of a watch captain, by public indecency I mean coercion of a shopkeeper... he didn't want me to spread his shame... so he locked me up for all time.

I assaulted a man, stole all his possessions and shot an arrow at his shoulder. He was badly injured. I also resisted arrest, and that's why I was thrown into that cell.

My current character is in jail because he tried to overthrow the government...
My other current character, a mage, burned someone's face off while practising destruction.
The character before that, which is a trader, was betrayed by his businesspartner, who is the husband of the writer of the 'Guide to...' books. That man did something wrong, but made sure the evidence pointed towards my character.
A character between the trader and anarchist was in jail because he just tricked some people to get money. Now he's out of jail, homeless, and trying to make a fortune with gambling at the arena.
A character that only exists in my mind, just hasn't been in jail. I'll load from a save I made just before exiting the sewers. I did that with more than just one, actually.

My canon character ventured from Morrowind to Cyrodiil with a group of companions; him, a khajiit archer, an Argonian mage, a bosmer nightblade, and a dunmer warrior . They were mistaken for bandits and were attacked by legion soldiers. The khajiit and bosmer were killed in the assault, while the dunmer and argonian escaped. My character was arrested and was taken to the prison, and then Oblivion happened.

My family was sleeping. My sister and brother in one room, my parents in another. I had a urge to kill them. I picked up an Iron Warhammer and then whacked each of them on the head. The best part was when my sister was awake.
