what does affect stealth attacks ? I am speaking of throat cutting animations . i know that there is a stealth multiplier while attacking while hidden, but i am talking about the animation to cut somebodys throat.
if i am stealthed behind an enemey, wearing dagger, and attack him....i just hit him with the dagger, no "Stealth kills"
why is it that? I managed to perform a stealthkill animation once, just once, its such a shame, all that sneaking and hiding until i am behind somebody unnoticed, and then.........i just hit a blow instead of stealthkilling
and does it only work wit dagger?
how to do stealth attacks, what do i have to skill ?

What I read from other people playing this type of character, it started happening very often once they got the 6xpenpal wrote:yes there is a stealth mutiplier, 2x, 4x, 6x .---but does it affect that i perform a stealth kill cut throat animation ???

It happens every now and then for me also. First of all, I'm pretty certain that it will only happen if your stealth attack is going to deplete all of the opponent's health i.e You won't get a 1 hit kill for simply using a sneak attack( you probably know this). Also, the opponent must not be doing something like cooking, chopping wood or sitting down.
So if an opponent is standing up normally and you sneak behind and perform a sneak attack that will deplete all health, then an "assassination" is elegible to occur. Whether or not it will always occur, I don't know.

Re: how to do stealth attacks, what do i have to skill ?
thx so i have to skill sneaking because it raises the muliplier of damage and that way it will happen more often......
hm well or i just raise my bow skills............its not so beautiful to watch however
talking about watching kills........ it is way more boring to kill a dragon with ranged combat or magic, because the dragon will just day, if you use melee attacks you get a superb animation with umping on the dragons head, a real death fight and all this stuff

True but I personally haven't touched a dragon with a melee attack yet. All arrows for me.
Yes, raise your Sneak skill and get the perk that makes daggers do 15x stealth damage(and a whopping 30x if dual wielding). Raise your one-handed skill as well and get the first 5 perks that increase one-handed damage.
If your daggers have 10 damage and you dual equip them, enter sneak mode and have the 15x(30x) multiplier, then you're going to be doing some serious damage(300!). The bow's sneak multiplier is fixed at 3x, 10x less than that of daggers. My bow's damage with arrow damage included is about 40. So a sneak attack does 120 damage which falls hugely in comparison to the damage of a dagger sneak attack.

I have the 15x dagger damage from stealth perk, Shrouded Hand Wraps that double backstab damage and a one handed of 39 with no perks, and I can still take half of a plain dragon's health with one backstab.
You don't have to perk up one handed like Lindal suggests just for frequent throat slitting. Though it wouldn't hurt. Bandits good enough to do 130 damage with a bow shot have been known to survive my backstabs, so it's preference really.
Power up one handed for a sure kill, at the cost of 5 perks, or don't and just get a very likely kill.
It depends on how important that is to you and if you use one handed for combat. Me, I favour a bow.
