The only draw back i have seen to lycanthropy, is that for role playing purposes, you don't get a good night sleep, and if you have a spouse i believe your supposes to get an even better no

I chose Lycanthropy, but it really depends on the character I'm playing. My assassin character will be a vampire, while I'm planning to get my arrogant mage stuck with the Cursed Ring of Hircine, so her shape shifting is random. Just to add a bit of spice and unpredictableness.

I currently am a werewolf cause I usually play a dark elf vampire charactor (due to the dark elves being fire resistant)

but being a werewolf is ok being able to sprint for eternity is fun.

I am so glad to see lycanthropy back after its brief absence :)
“Fine day” said the young man.

“Gods!” hollered Zaki, sending the young man flying with a well-placed punch, and dashing away.

Not just roleplaying purposes actually. Lycanthropy will prevent the PC from attaining the Rested Bonus:
In addition, sleeping in a good bed gives a temporary bonus to magicka and health. Beds in player-owned houses provide better bonuses than other beds. If you sleep long enough in any bed, you will receive the "Well Rested" bonus which increases the speed of skill mastery by 10% for the next 8 hours. If you sleep near to your spouse (same building/cell), upon waking you will receive a "Lover's Comfort" bonus which increases speed of skill mastery by 15% for 8 hours.
