Thievery

If you haven't visited Riften yet, there are possible spoilers. If you don't know what The Bedlam Job means, then there are definitly spoilers :)
Spoiler:
Is anyone else finding that stealing goods to sell onto a fence much more difficult in Skyrim than in Oblivion? Completing the thieves guild quest "The Bedlam Job" can actually be quite hard unless you're willing to steal hundreds of worthless things to make the 500G mark! Sometimes I'll get lucky and find a piece of jewellery but it's actually much harder in this game to find valuable items. Another thing I have noticed is that if you pickpocket someone out in the streets of the city you're meant to be stealing from, the pickpocketed items do not count to the gold total. However, if you break into someones home and pickpocket the resident(s) whilst they are sleeping in their beds, the pickpocketed items do count. EDIT: This doesn't appear to be true... Just stole well over 2-3k worth of items by pick-pocketing, and the quest didn't update; and yet, it has done on other occasions.

EDIT: something else that makes it much harder: some people don't ever seem to go to bed! I break into their house and they are always sitting in that damn chair, hour after hour, making it impossible to steal anything!!
