I can also only wear one ring.

Go down to the rings section, it says you can only wear one ring.

When I read the topic title, I was thinking of something entirely different.

OnT: Yeah, it seems i can only wear 1 ring as well, which is odd as all the past games allowed you to wear two. Just something else for a mod to tinker with, eh.

Enchant a dual-effect ring by yourself? Although it first seems that Skyrim has less wearable enchanting possibilities than e.g. Oblivion, in fact it has more. Oblivion has 9, Skyrim has 14 (head, torso, feet, hands, ring, necklace, shield). Right?

Well, it does sort of confuse, but I was always baffled by the Only two rings thingg in Oblivion too, because, to be honest, you could theoretically wear ten rings (and more than that if you consider how long fingers tend to be)
Because there's no fun to be found in being normal.

Well would you wear a ring on your thumb, so 8 makes sense, but for me i would never wear them on my pinkies either so 6 is still reasonable.

What you would or wouldn't does not influence how many it's possible to wear.
