Race Question

Hi i just made a woodelf because i want to make a theif/acher/mage type hero but i hate look of female woodelfs all drit on them and stuff, im not a fan of elfs much so i want to pick nother race.
I read somewere that doesnt matter what race you pick because + stats you get just help you in the start because skill cap is 100, so there no 100 + 10 TO ACHER because your woodelf so you wont get the 110, just 100 so in the end races all about how you want to look and that it?

And if i pick like say woodelf to lvl acher does that mean i will lvl skill points to bow much after speed then other races?

I been thinking making a female breton theif/acher/mage also they have magic ressist like 25% to all witch is good and usefull

so apart from resist's doesnt matter what race you pick in the end for the type of class you going to build im right?

Hmm, this should be in Skyrim-Help.

The thing is, we don't know if the racial skill bonuses will go past level 100, but I think we can safely assume they wont. As such, the only thing that really matters about race is the racial abilities, and you should be able to find races with better abilities, e.g. Dunmer resistance to Fire and Ancestor's Wrath.

how about a breton? they have magic ressit to all spells, thinking going breton female theif/ bow/and bit of mage

Sure, they would be good too, although Altmer (High Elf) might also be a good Mage character. Either way, I think that you'll be able to construct a good character if you choose the right perks and the right Birthsign Stone, even if you don't choose the 'best' race.

i might just stick with woodelf knowing i got bit far now. Anyways thankyou, btw i have one more question is there option to hide helm on my toon while useing it?

no hide helm, and race really does not matter in skyrim, in oblivion at least you got different attributes, but really just go with what you like the looks of. My sneaky thief/assassin is an orc, problem?
