Spells are for sale at various places throughout the world. Or you can buy (or steal) the scroll as it will work just as well. Haven't you explored around?

Don't forget that you need a Weyklind (sp?) stone in your posession or it will not work.

There is one you can steal in a showcase on one of the staircases leading up from the throneroom in Chorrol castle, or go into any Ayelid ruin.

Theres a chest right by were you talk to the dude. With all the scrolls you need.

You're talking about another MG quest, later on in the story. This was about one of the quests needed to really get into the guild.

Once I got the spell, it said that I needed 612 Magicka to cast it! Now at level 33, I have a spell-assited max magicka of 350: as my skill in Destruction rose, the spell-cost has gone down to 212.

I still can't cast it though: I need an unassisted Destruction skill of 100!

It's something to aim for though!

FOTM is overpriced, the more advanced you are, the more overpriced it is. I checked in TESCS, it has cost "auto-calc" unchecked and the value of magicka cost entered manually, it would normally cost some 350 instead of 612. Forget it and spellmake an equivalent at the university. It makes sense on low levels (strength and cost of Flare, but area damage instead of point damage), but the higher your level, the less sense the spell has.
