Re: Skyrim guilds
Just because I absolutely love the Empire, I'll be joining the Imperial Army. My first character will be an Imperial who will be repenting for the crimes he's committed against the Empire (which crimes led him to become a prisoner at first) by joining the Imperial cause in Skyrim.

Re: Skyrim guilds
I want to join the thieves guild first but have no idea how to.
If someone were to whisper it on here in spoiler tags what city they can be joined in, i might start wandering around there for a while

What's the challenge if you don't go searching?
Steal something and get arrested. That'll probably do the trick. Don't pin me up on it, though. Haven't played yet.

Because there's no fun to be found in being normal.

Companions. Of course, if I was making my Khajiit assassin instead of a Nord warrior as my first character, the answer would obviously be Dark Brotherhood...
Signatures are overrated.

Re: Skyrim guilds
Bards is brand new to the series, afaik (dunno about Arena), so I am VERY curious about that
Besides that, I will definitely join the Mages (Winterhold) and the Rebels (Stormcloaks)...
Even though I will be playing a char with most of her skills from the Thief set, I am not so turned on by Thieves, but heck, if I run into them I'll probably join

Re: Skyrim guilds
I enjoyed the DB and Thieves quests immensely, but I liked the people and ideas of the Companions and Imperial Army, and that epic battle for Whiterun and for Windhelm..those were great.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Re: Skyrim guilds
I try to save the best for last. So I usually start the main quest line until I hit a quest in it that isn't appealing to me. Then I tried Companions, then bards, storm cloaks, then saved the DB and the TG for last
