I've been playing some Daggerfall on and off and I have been having a hard time making a decent warrior build. I know I want to use long blades and maybe be a Nord. I would really appreciate some help building a warrior character to see me through Daggerfall.
(Note: It will take me months at least to finish Daggerfall what with Skyrim and exams but I still want to be able to make a good character.)

Re: Good Warrior Build
It's not so much about the skills but the special abilities you choose in the beginning, and your attributes. Let's start with the attributes.
You'll want a high speed. Invest in this as much as possible. It's much more useful than in newer ES games because not only does it determine how fast you run, but also how fast you can swing your weapons. At 90+ you can manage up to 4-5 swings per second.
Agility is also far more important than in newer games. It will help you survive longer by making opponents miss more frequently.
Strength, for carrying capacity and more damage.
Endurance is also pretty important, for the obvious reason of health.
Willpower to defend against magic attacks.
Those are the attributes you should focus on the most. Luck is also recommended.
Now, for the bonuses. For a pure warrior you will probably want the following speacial advantages:
Rapid healing in darkness. I say in darkness because you will mostly be sleeping in dungeons. Rapid healing in general will make you skills increase slower.
Regenerate health in darkness. Same reason as above.
You may also opt to choose a weapon expertise. You will be more accurate with the weapon type you choose.
Now the special disadvantages you will want to choose in order to balance out the difficulty:
Unable to use magic in daylight (if you plan on using no magic at all).
Forbidden armour type: Leather (you won't be using it anyway).
Forbidden material: Iron (worst tear, you won't be using that either).
Basically, disable anything you won't be using anyway.
Any more questions?

Re: Good Warrior Build
No that is all I wanted to know.
Thanks for the help Mars.
Edit: I've managed to make a pretty good Nord warrior and just got out of the starter dungeon and i'll pick up this game again some time after finishing Skyrim.
