This is it

Post by soda popinski »

I can't recall where I first saw this, but about 11 months ago I caught a peek of it and ever since I have been waiting for this week:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWUS0-0tn4g

That got me riled up, but then in February this video arrived on planet earth, and we got our first glimpse of Skyrim in all its glory:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPPF9eO5_6U

Over the course of the year, my excitement never died down.

Now it is here. About 81 hours away for me.

It has been a fun year reading these boards and staying up on all the latest info.

Now it's time for it all to come together

Good luck in your adventures in Skyrim

You know what? I'm stickying this for the week. :)

Time to say your goodbyes to the Skyrim speculation board, we're in our final week. I remember when I first saw the trailer, I actually watched the VGA and brought the news to UESP. I was pretty excited.

I can be proud to say that the first post ever made about Skyrim on UESP was:

I had hoped I would have had a gargantuan computer by now, but my fate wanted me otherwise. So there will be no Skyrim for me yet.
I hope you all will have fun in Skyrim. In the meantime I will have to find a job, earn money, get my bank account in order and then finally buy a beast of a computer and join the action in Skyrim (although my friend has promised me I can start a character on his computer).
So from your humble Savage Hippie: Good luck and fare thee all well whereever you may step.

I sure do hope I can get it on Friday. If not, I'll probably have to stay off the boards for quite a while.

I get goose bumps from reading this. It's so close now. I've got my first character all figured out, ready to jump into action.

Happy hunting, everybody!

Is there any way you can add that to the top of my OP so people can get the full effect right from the start?

As soon as I wake up on Friday I am taking the bus to Walmart, getting Skyrim, and then spending the entire long weekend playing it.

I am so happy this week! Yes, it will probably be the longest week of my life but it sure does make the week eventful! It was amazing pondering, speculating, and getting new info five minutes after Todd or Pete Hines announces it. Even better, I got to share it with you guys. It's been a long road, and when I get on the forums the week after Skyrim I want it be busy as ever! Best wishes to everybody! By the way, if anyone is considering staying on the forums for the first few days, DON'T. Most people, myself included, feel like that ruins the first few hours of your personal experience with the game. Just a tip for the noobies!

I will say, without shame, this is one of the few times I've actually taken off of work for something I plan to enjoy thoroughly. I wouldn't have it any other way. And am I ever glad to be on the UESP forums at this time, surrounded by others who are just as excited!

Bring it, Skyrim. I am beyond ready for your snowy adventures.
