Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Does anybody remember the Sinbad films that where made in the 70's? Well I spent a large part of my day watching them, the computer animation for the monsters is so bad it's hilarious. I still love these films though, I grew up watching these regularly with my Mum. Classics are always the best...
Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I went to the movie theater to see them. They were awesome back then.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Dean, those "old" movies are the best in my opinion. I love nothing more than watching old Godzilla movies and movies like Them! In fact, when I was younger my father would always add "Big Ants" to the end of all of our school spelling lists, and every time I would say, "But dad, that's eaaaasy!"
Ah, memories.
Today I finally had a nice, pleasant day of relaxation, which means I hung around in my PJs, had a nice cup of coffee, and meandered around the internet. This was made all the more pleasant by the fact I was out yesterday with a special someone. If that's not a good weekend, I don't know what is.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Firstly, Jeff that is to cool. I want to watch these films on a big screen.
Old films have a certain... feel to them that is hard to explain. I think it's because they didn't try so hard to be dramatic in everything they said, it was more natural. I guess a lot of the ideas where fresh to, a lot of todays films, although a fair amount of them are great, they seem to be running out of ideas for them.
If I can get my old video player working, I am so watching the old Jason and the Argonauts next(I believe there was a remake in 2000). That is one of the best adventure films ever made.

Let us just say that the third stanza to the RHCP's "Police Station" took on some additional relevance. These were great especially the one from '77 - that was the one with all the monsters right? I believe so. See: star wars.
Today, I woke up at 3 AM to work, and slept from noon until 5:30. I have to get up again for work at 3. I volunteered to do this job.
Something is wrong with me. On the upside, I'm starting to get a really firm grasp on trig, which is highly important for when I take calculus and when I start doing actual engineering work. I figured out today that an ellipse can be partially defined as a relationship between two triangles. My mind was blown.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Oh my gatos, I am having the most miserable time at work. You know how difficult it is to come into an office full of employees who just do a lackluster job and, furthermore, just don't even care? It eats me up inside. And really, there isn't any reason for it to, because I still do my job and I do my job exceptionally well...but I just don't understand when people lack that bit of compassion toward something, even a little. The apathy here is so thick in the air that it's getting really difficult to come into work each day. Which sucks, since given the economy and my responsibilities I really need to stay in work.
What's worse is that I talked to someone higher up about this, but it doesn't seem like he really listened, because I haven't heard or seen anything done to change anything. I guess that just goes to show how important my opinion is around here.
Bah. I hate being in a down mood.
AND I just remembered...I get my GRE scores today. Ugggggh.

Declined again... oh I think I'm gonna fall into a depression when Skyrim is being released friday and I still haven't got a job. Or work of any sort for that matter...
