NZ Rating!
Wow. The New Zealand rating for Skyrim is only R13!
Looking back at the gameplay footage, completely off. But that's awesome. So if your a Elder Scrolls fan, living in NZ, who's under 13, lucky day man!

If it were any other country, I'd be surprised. You Kiwis are a bit strange, haha.

Not sure about other countries, but at least in America the ratings of games don't matter, they are just a "recommendation", so parents don't have to sit there and watch 50 videos on the game to see if their kid should play it or not.

Yeah, pretty sure that's the same in most other countries. Except now Australia is getting a R18+ Rating, and I don't think just anyone can buy games rated R18+.Frogmander wrote:Not sure about other countries, but at least in America the ratings of games don't matter, they are just a "recommendation", so parents don't have to sit there and watch 50 videos on the game to see if their kid should play it or not.

R movies you have to have someone older, and I think M you have to have someone older say you can get it, though I have always watched R movies and played M games, heh..Nevastar wrote:Yeah, pretty sure that's the same in most other countries. At least the new rating will help avoid games being censored.Nevastar wrote:Yeah, pretty sure that's the same in most other countries. Re: NZ Rating!
In Austria the rating normal says that nobody below that age is allowed to buy a certain game, but this regulation is not very strict. The only exception are games that are rated harder than 18+, which is named "indiziert" such games are not even allowed to lie around in the store, you only can buy them with a proof that you are older than 18 and you must know of this games from somewhere as you can't see them in the stores^^.

Usually don't they have either a special section for that, or covered the box?Trelares wrote:In Austria the rating normal says that nobody below that age is allowed to buy a certain game, but this regulation is not very strict. Re: NZ Rating!
I am not sure, as I have a good online shop where you can get everything uncut without this problems. And most normal shops don't have "indizierte" games, only some special shops.
