Hahaha I feel yaSilentPsycho wrote:Even if my copy wasn't being delivered by post, there's no way I would go to a midnight release. While I do think it would be quite enjoyable, the fact of the matter is that the nearest video games shops are in the nearby town, which you REALLY don't want to be there after dark.

Luckily I preordered mine at a big Gamestop across town. Gonna take a cab there and one back.

Hmmm, got mine from BestBuy. I'm not going to make a huge deal about getting it though, I'll just drop by after class that day to get it.

Yes, to pick up the game you either need ID proving your old enough or someone who is.MasterRokon wrote:Wait since the game is rated M and im only 16 will i need a adult with me, even if they were there when i pre-ordered and approved of it there?
(Edit: I'm in the US, other countries laws may vary.)

Not sure about how it works over where you live? But I always figured that those numbers were just a recomended age to play.MasterRokon wrote:Wait since the game is rated M and im only 16 will i need a adult with me, even if they were there when i pre-ordered and approved of it there?
That is at least what my friend keeps telling me. But then again? I'm 18 and look like I'm 20 and when I bought Crysis 2 they wanted to see my Id card...

Yea, then looks like ill have to pick up my copy after school, ill still go just incase they are in a good mood and dont mind giving it to despite being only 1 year off from giving it to me. I sorta dislike these laws, but hey some people dont mind.Yaxsis wrote:Not sure about how it works over where you live? Re: When are you getting Skyrim?
I was carded only once when buying a game. Which was a bit odd, since I was over 30 at the time. Then again, my genetics ensure that I will always look 10 years younger than I actually am, so that's no real surprise.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

I'm getting 'rim on release date! I have Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword preordered too.
However, I have an appointment to see my shrink on the 11th. I'm so calling to reschedule, he can wait.

Re: When are you getting Skyrim?
As I wake up in the evening (6:00pm) and go to bed in the morning (around 9:00am) it's just as natural for me to pick up a game at midnight as it is for anyone else to pick one up at midday
Guess what I'll be doing

Re: When are you getting Skyrim?
Hopefully, pre-order with delivery. That is provided that I can sort a few things out in the next couple of days. If not, I'll pick it up a week or two later, seeing as I have exams the following week, and VCE overrules Skyrim in importance.

Re: When are you getting Skyrim?
Nice! Only some of the provinces in Canada have it as an actual day off, and unfortunately Ontario (mine) isn't one of them. Yet they still call it a holiday... Very bizarre.Cemiboy_FB wrote:Yep, I live in Belgium, and Remembrance Day's a holiday heredubq wrote:Probably in a place where Remembrance Day (CAD) or Veteran's Day (US) is a stat holiday..

My brother and I pre-ordered using Amazon months ago. Hopeful it will arrive some time on the eleventh provided the blasted FedEx guy can find my bloody house for once.

Re: When are you getting Skyrim?
And I'm getting it Friday, if I can get it Friday. I won't be able to play it yet, but at least I'll have the game! And otherwise I'll get it Saturday. GOd, I'd wake up at 9 to be the first to enter the shop, just to be sure of my copy.
Me: "So, how did you get this rich?"
Random Jarl: "I'm the Jarl and so were my father, grandfather, and his father. How about you?"
Me: "I've just spent some days chopping wood."

I got it yesterday for PS3 and played for a few hours. Now back to reality at work. Tonight the adventures continue!
