Well, they are almost same looking... They were once connected to each other, but since their split in the Second Era the two groups have become bitter rivals.

I think you may be jumping to conclusions there, their worship of the deadra Mephala is one of the key reasons that I love them. I have always liked the idea of serving the deadra princes in the various games. And I'd much rather murder for a powerful deadra prince than some vague god of nothingness.

The Morag Tong, the original the best hey? Plus, they're Dunmer, and they follow the shadiest of the Anticipations. Most of the reasons Chaos, Stendarr and others have put forward, also ring true. The Dark Brotherhood is interesting, but it seems somewhat 'cheap' in comparison.

I chose the Morag Tong only cause it's not a faction I feel the devs have given a true heart and that's what attracts it to people. It's mysterious yet ordered so to speak. Don't get me wrong I love the Dark Brotherhood but I'd like to try something fresh for an assassin's guild....Skyrim though definitely has me looking forward to the DB quest line. There is nothing wrong with religious killers...I find they are most interesting cause they are bound by their own sets of morals based on what they believe whether it be "righteous" justice or deranged worship. Most of the DB characters though just like to kill for glory and you can tell by dialogue in Obv that most of them used Sithis as a front --- they just like the thrill of the hunt.

I wish honestly we would see more hybrid/sub factions.
Like a Shadowscale DB sub faction or....maybe even a revival of the Crimson Scars except this time with more success hehe.

That would be a pretty cool idea, and I am hopeful about the Companions in this regard, seeing as I'm fairly sure the 'Riverwood Tavern' group we heard about, is not an additional faction, but an offshoot of the Companions. Plus, we know the Circle is most probably a subgroup within the Companions, even if the title is simply a ... title.

I'd pick the Morag Tong. Hopefully, by siding with the Tong, I'll be marked for death by the Brotherhood. This means the potential return of 'your friendly neighbourhood persistent assassin I can kill and make an absolute fortune from selling the loot'. There's a reason why, in Morrowind, I left tackling the Brotherhood situation until late in the game - they were my primary income and supply of free quality weapons and armour.

Dark Brotherhood. Even though in Oblivion you could run around in your armour and not be arrested - even talking to a guard they wouldn't care. Yet other sanctuary members made a big deal of changing outfit, acting non-suspicious and not talking to you outside of the sanctuary.

Love Dark Brotherhood's concept though, Morag Tong:
1. Has a very strange name, that always occured to me.
2. Has a weird symbol.
3. Is too serious, "u kill dis person u do it wrong u die looool" that's basically all it seemed to me.

Morag Tong. The Dark Brotherhood is awesome, but I prefer the idea of killing simply for money with no strange religious/spiritual stuff in the mix of it all. However, if they were both in Skyrim, it'd probably come down to which one had cooler armour.

Morag Tong means "Forester Guild" in Dunmeri, and their symbol is insectile-ish like a lot of Dunmer symbols (Redoran and Dagoth comes to mind), but in this case is more Spider-like given their connections to Mephala. The third part is your own problem, some of us think murder shouldn't be met with glee and wild abandonment as you use intestines as streamers and other organs as balloons for your extremely crimson tea party...

In Skyrim, I might continue the character and continue my systematic destruction of the Brotherhood for the glory of the Morag Tong.
