Morag Tong in Skyrim?

Post by Assassin540 »

Do you think the Morag Tong will be in Skyrim I think it is very possible because the Dark Elf's are supposidly imigrating to Skyrim possibly bringing customs such as Morag Tong and I also think it is possible because there has been at least one new Guild Todd didn't announce which was the Bard's Guild so they could have the Morag Tong what do you think do you want them back why or why not? Another reason for them possibly being in Skyrim is this armor http://images.uesp.net/e/e5/SR-DunmerThief_wLegal.jpg which seems unique and is diffrent then the confirmed Dark Brotherhood armor.

Anyway it could be the empire allowed the Morag Tong to set up camp in Skyrim just to get rid of the Dark Brotherhood. Who knows... ;)

Broken in what way?
Since the Dunmer lost Morrowind to the Argonians the Dunmer no longer have much of a government, and since the Morag Tong was a government sanctioned organization they would no longer be legal.

They could come back, but with diminished numbers obviously; think like the Adventurers in Oblivion (Orcs looking for riches to benefit their people), but with 120% more hired assassin-ness

Do I think they will? No, and that makes me sad...

Not a bad idea I mean that sounds like it could happen not that I want the DB destroyed I like them more than Morag Tong but just saying I know there land was destroyed but I think it says alot of them imigrated to Skyrim and Cyrodil and I know the MT wouldn't be legal im thinking they would set up as an underground organization not caring what the Empire thought and caring more about keeping their beliefs and customs

I personally think that the guy who jumped off the cliff using the shout looks a lot like this guy:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Morag_Tong_Assassin

That said, it makes no sense to bring them back. Weren't they sanctioned by the government in morrowind?

Read above comment I think they could make it make since if there are enough Morag Tong assassins which I think there are why wouldn't they bring them back they want to please the customer

Yes they were sanctioned by the government, which is why if you want to play as the Morag Tong in Skyrim, but with out the support from the government (which they wouldn't have when they operate outside of Morrowind anyway), then it's a little organization called the "Dark Brotherhood".

Yeah ok but not really even without the government the Morag Tong would be diffrent from the DB they would be heavily Dunmer they would be less about there god more about the art of killing and Im pretty sure they would have completely diffrent armor and ranking system and hideout and leader and diffrent quests.

I'd like to see an "underground war" between the DB and MT, allowing the player to choose which side they wish.

Yes that's what im talking about like almost a gang war we kill one of theirs they kill one of theirs until the end when your a high ranking member and you can wage an actual war on the MT or DB going into their hideout with like 10 members

As much as I liked the Morag Tong, I just can't see it in Skyrim. First, we already have an assassin's guild, the Dark Brotherhood. Second, I feel it acted perfectly as one of these guilds you are ''privileged'' to play in because of the setting of the game. Oblivion doesn't have any as far as I remember, but it was supposed to have the Elder Council Order or something like that. Each province have their particularities and ''exclusive'' guilds. Like Morrowind also had the Great Houses. Getting the Morag Tong in would feel like obvious ''fan'' service, which is never a good thing.

Well I hope in the DB you at least have a contract or two to kill some that would be cool I mean I just hope the Morag Tong isn't really gone that wouldn't be cool the Dark Brotherhood would have no rival :(

I could perfectly see the Morag Tong a bit as the Dark Brotherhood were in Tribunal for sure. I don't know, important members of the Morag Tong don't want to let it die, keep their power and act as a cultural remnant of the Dunmer, even if they become illegal. Maybe quest givers of the fighter's guild in the ''Dunmer city'' will ask you to try to stop their activities or something. Maybe they will clash with the Dark Brotherhood, but I don't see any obvious reasons for this. The Dark Brotherhood works for Sithis/Satan, while the Morag Tong works for anyone willing to get rid of some truly undesirable person. Well yeah, they could want the same person dead and only one of them could get it done how they want.

Anyway, I also hope to have as many playable factions as possible even if they are minor ones, with a fair share of unplayable ones that still impact the game. Like the other assassin's guild in Morrowind which I can't remember its name.

Yeah but the DB hates the MT you should have a mission where you kidnap a MT assassin bring him back to the sanctuary but then some of his MT friends catch up to you and you have a little skirmish
