Last minute decision making: will my PC play skyrim well?

Post by Bobblast1886 »

Sorry if this ins't the right section of this board to post this, but I have little time left to decide on which Version of the game I want, and I need some advise on if my PC will be able to play skyrim at optimal performance and graphics (using the ATI 5770 card).

(Yes, I've checked the specification page, but its vague, and doesn't really help me out, so I'll post my complete details below).

My system specs are as follows, (rough details obtained through using a programme, so ignore the extra details and just find whats relevant)

WDC WD10 EADS-65M2B0 SCSI Disk Device (1000.20 GB) -- drive 0, s/n WD-WMAV51390834, SMART Status: Healthy
My Computer is able to play oblivion on max settings flawlessly, and fallout new vegas on "high" settings relatively smoothly, with some slight FPS drops and gitter here and there, but nothing too noticeable.

I just need to know if its worth getting it for the PC, or if I should stick with the PS3 ( like the mods, but I can live without if my PC isn't able to handle it)

Thank you very much!

If my comp can run it on "Medium smoothly and on High with the occasional stutter." with these specs
64 bit windows 7
Intel I7-2630 QM Quad core 2.0 GHz
8 GB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT555M Graphics card
I'm sure you will be golden.

Mine should be able to run it fine
2.13GHz
windows 7 64bit
Nvidia GTX 460
6GB ram

And that should be fine for ultra even, yours should be fine for ultra as well

The 5770 is more powerful.

This is not fine for Ultra. Not with that CPU.
