If anything I support the progressive side of the classical culture.

Caesar, Augustus, Constantinople, Sigmund II Augustus, and so forth.

EDIT: But he wasn't as progressive as Caesar, as serfdom still existed and such. He was just very progressive for his time.
I too venerate these men and their accomplishments however, what you see them as freeing from tyranny, I see as a return to the rule of Law as such, in the Aristotelian sense of greater conformity on the part of human law to both its formal cause, and its end.
as I said before I excel at pompous legal styles of writing.

I'm getting a brand new PC today. Well, mostly new. My graphics card is just fine, bought a GTX470 earlier this year.

Anyways, I'm even more excited than usual

Precisely. Boyfriend spent a good part of a work bonus to buy me a PC with the sole purpose of being able to run Skyrim properly. If that's not true love, I don't know what is.

Meanwhile, my battle station is a rickety, hand-me-down, leather-back computer chair with a 360 running on a TV that seems to still be choking on steam power.

Give it a few years until you're making proper money. Fun thing about being technically grown-up but young enough to have virtually no responsibilities: you can spend your income on whatever you want.

Tell me about it. My wage-slave 19-year-old brother just bought an electric piano out of the blue. I just come how, and the Postal Service left the thing on the porch.

I'm not sure this is the proper thread, but I couldn't find a better.

Could anyone tell me why it is I can't add an avatar to my profile?

You need to be added as a confirmed user - be active for 7 days with 10 posts, or get the attention of a moderator so they can add you sooner. Have a look at the rules, it's in there.

Mock violence, I think...

Seeing that you can't send PMs, I'll send one on your behalf, if you like.

God my mum wants one of those.

Thing is she's got an electric keyboard already that she never used.

I've never had insomnia but I'm guessing that doing 30 minutes of strenuous exercise followed by a glass of hot milk should knock you out.

That might work, I don't know though I don't normally have that problem. I have found though the only thing that can put me to sleep, its like a knock to the head, is riding in the back of a cab in a foreign country where its crazy driving. Weird I know, but it works everytime even with me trying my hardest to not fall asleep.

Does anybody watch that anime X-Men show? I saw part of an episode the other day and I'd never heard of it before. Sp I was wondering if it was any good.

The reason I'm all over this forum now is because I am currently waiting on a flight. Trying to get home now, that's always the worst part for me. Once your at the point of your trip where its time to start heading back, I hate it. Especially when you get delayed or something.
