Bows them selfs are made to be on hit type wepeons, way more poweful but rare.
nothing bout head shots that I have heard of

I believe I read somewhere that there will not be hit zones like in fallout 3. I'm going to try and find the source real quick for you.

i hope not, dont like the idea of my dovakhin going down with a goblin arrow in the eye, and definitely dont like the idea that what can happen to npcs cant happen to me

best one shot kill will probably be sneak + good bow and skill + poison + fancy perk, so i think it will be possible if you spend some effort on it

one shot kills might be a perk you can earn, but wont matter where you hit. just a guess.

There will be critical damage for bows however.

I have a habit of aiming for the head no matter what game I'm playing when it comes to ranged weapons.
But I'm fine whether or not there are headshots. Maybe it could be a perk so that enemies won't have it.

enemies get perks too i believe, as you level the ones that level with you (bandits?) also get better, at the certain things they use id imagine, magic users get magic perks, one handed shield/dual wield get those respective perks, bow-users get those perks... i would like to see crossbows tho, seems like something a nord would want to use.

I think it will work the same way as in Oblivion, but I am sure Bethesda made it a bit more immersive somehow. That is just my opinion.

I do know that locational damage was confirmed to NOT be in, if that is relevant to what you are asking.

It's confirmed, no locational damage (everywhere is the same).

But with the new creation engine I can see some nice locational damage mods coming our way.
