Patience is a virtue, my esteemed fellows. If Bethesda, hallowed be their name, decides to delay the release of Skyrim then I have utter faith that there are good reasons for such a course of action. Amen.

Re: Skyrim postponed! What if?
Honestly, I could probably only wait another day. I've been anticipating this game for months, and to have it postponed is like....I don't even know how to describe it. I know they're delaying it for a good reason, but I would not be able to wait any longer.
EDIT: Also rhcpFTW, nice username they are a great band.

For those of us that are addicted to The Elder Scrolls and need our fix of daily Skyrim news, it's hard to deal with the thought of Skyrim being postponed. A drug addict will find other ways to get high when he doesn't have his regular drug. But us (lets call us "Elder Scrolls enthusiasts"), what do we do ? What CAN we do ? If Skyrim is postponed, what possible thing will keep you and I sane ?

I could wait for 6 years and it wouldn't really phase me to much. Hell, I've been waiting that long to play Oblivion so it really doesn't bother me.
These days I don't really stay in much, most of the time I'm out and about with mates.

Well, I am out and about with my friends a lot as well, but during the late late night/ morning when I am home, that's when I play games. (:

Re: Skyrim postponed! What if?
I get ya, that's generally when I play games to. But due to me never having had a computer worthy enough to play new releases, I'm use to just dealing with the disappointment really.
One day it will change, but that will be quite far into the future. I need a place first, games will have to wait unfortunately.

Re: Skyrim postponed! What if?
Looks like we are on the same page ! I have a really nice laptop that I bought last August. It runs Morrowind perfect, but Oblivion is not playable .. When I lower the settings it's playable, but then the game just looks bad, and isn't worth playing. I just play Oblivion and (will be playing) Skyrim when it comes out.Dean wrote:I get ya, that's generally when I play games to. Re: Skyrim postponed! What if?
Upon thinking about it, I could wait, for a fair while. I want this game to be as good as they can make it, and I still have a lot left in my Morrowind and Oblivion journeys, to keep me occupied until they did release Skyrim. In saying that, I hope they don't. Well, I hope they don't for more than a fortnight. Then exams will be over, and I would be able to play it to my hearts content, just like I will be when they release it on 11/11/11.

Re: Skyrim postponed! What if?
I don't have a computer that can play it, so I won't mind it being postponed, but it sucks for the people that can actually play the game on 11.11.11. And if it's postponed, I hope they have a good reason for it, like, fixing (almost) all bugs, adding some awesome content...

I assume the game disks are being pressed as we speak so there wont be a delay.
Now, what COULD happen is disastrous bugs in the first week. Steam crapping itself, spontaneously corrupting savegames, frequent crashes and the like....

Re: Skyrim postponed! What if?
Bugs are a given in the first few days. Bethesda have devised this new system to deal with bugs and still be able to make the deadline. They will update the game continiously as you play. So get ready for some lagging.

What if Skyrim was postponed? You'd all read in the news that I'd been found dead in front of my PC, with my hand on the knife in my chest, and SKYRIM POSTPONED on screen.

Oh, I could wait for quite a while. I still have many great games to fill my waiting time, so it wouldn't be a problem. Not that I don't want it as fast as possible.
