National Metal Day and Skyrim
The two dates are the same. Do you know what this means?
On the day of release, Viking Metal is the ONLY acceptable soundtrack!
Does anyone else here enjoy Metal, and are interested in doing the same as myself?

Why the hell is Viking Metal day the same as Veteran's Day/Remembrance Day?

National Metal Day is National Metal Day. But that's not the point, the point is how this relates to Skyrim.

No, I won't listen to metal, just...the sweet sounds of Skyrim's nature. I can't wait to hear the ambient sounds of the forests. Walking through them might actually be worth it what with all the great scenery and sounds.

Re: National Metal Day and Skyrim
While you do that, I will listen to Metal about raiding, pillaging, and raping. Ya know, the usual viking fair. Probably burn a few houses too.
I'm mostly excited because of this new use of Dragons. I hope you don't have to kill them all...

I'll just ask my sister to scream in my ear then.
But, seriously, I just don't enjoy the sound of metal. ;~; If I listen to anything other than Skyrim's music it will probably be some indie hipster stuff. :>

Re: National Metal Day and Skyrim
Just reading the topic this came to my mind:
After a long stay in southern Tamriel, finally the Nord warrior heads back to Skyrim.
His family has served the Emperors till the end, but now he return to his homeland, with gold and glory.
But he has to face a terrible force. An enemy long forgotten has returned, and there's no place to hide.
The hero shall fightto the death, if he wants to restore peace and feast once again.

You would have to be a blasphemist to avoid listening to the Skyrim soundtrack at the first couple of playthroughs.

Bathory - amazing stuff Quorthon turned out over the time he was with us. A sad loss. Try Ajattara, Empyrium, Enslaved, Falkenbach, Finntroll and others to enhance the mood!

In the netherlands there's something called sint maarten (saint martin), withwhich kids get candy for singing songs.
a lot of stuff.is happening on 11.11.11.
Me: "So, how did you get this rich?"
Random Jarl: "I'm the Jarl and so were my father, grandfather, and his father. How about you?"
Me: "I've just spent some days chopping wood."

I'm a huge Metal fan, so I listen to it on a daily basis anyways. Just another reason to love the date 11.11.11

Re: National Metal Day and Skyrim
I find music with most games to break my immersion or make it harder to play unless it fits perfectly, so metal is probably not going to be on the agenda. Then again, given how erratic my idea of what fits perfectly is (I consider Poor Tom by Led Zeppelin to be perfect for Fallout 3, and One Of These Days by Pink Floyd perfect for RE4 Mercenaries), metal is still a possibility.
My preferred pronouns are cie and hir.

Zelda is epic while listening to Epic Score and Audiomachine. But they do movie and commercial scores to begin with, so it's not that far off.
