Re: Family and Relationship happenings thread
I have a girlfriend! (finally) She turned up as one of the new intake into college, and we hit it off almost immediately. She's spontaneous, energetic, and absolutely clinically insane: perfect for me
The only downside is she lives in Cornwall
but she's so relaxed with things like travel and people staying over that the distance won't be too much of a problem

I must say, this has got to be the most interesting thing I have read in quite awhile.Mrs T wrote:I'll soon have been with Mr J for 2.5 years and he's been with his other partner for over a year. That's more than three years of loving between us.

So yes, we're pretty cool.Wikipedia wrote:Polyamory (from Greek πολύ [poly, meaning many or several] and Latin amor [love]) is the practice, desire, or acceptance of having more than one intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved.

Seems our constellation might be going from a V to an N. For those that don't get it, imagine dots connected by lines, we're the dots and the lines are our relationships.
C, my "girlfriend-in-law", is apparently in the throes of new love.

Considering anything?
If anyone's interested in knowing more I'd recommend reading The Ethical Slut. I've seen it recommended in at least a dozen places as the very best introduction to ethical non-monogamy. I'm trying to get a hold of it right now to see if it holds anything new for me.

Re: Family and Relationship happenings thread
So, hello everyone I'm new, this thread looks interesting.
Okay right, advice please?
I've been flirting with this one guy for ages, like, maybe 6 months now, and he's really nice, but sometimes he gets on my nerves and he really is the least sexy person I've ever met. He's not really ugly though.
And then there is this other guy, who I've only known for a month or two. He's really mega hot, and his personality is okay, but he's like totally ****** like 10 guys and being a couple of years younger than him I really haven't got that far yet, and I feel slightly out-sexied which really isn't good.
Then there is another guy, he's like, quite butch, and my age aswell which is better, but he lives quite far away.
But yeah, I'll probably end up carrying on flirting with all of them, but which one/two would you guys choose?

Nothing wrong with open polygamy.
Re: Family and Relationship happenings thread
Actually, polygamy refers specifically to a marriage which includes more than two partners. <.<
Just sounds a little early to be talking marriage.

Hey, everyone. It's been a while since I've talked to y'all in General.
Last Wednesday, November 30, I proposed to my girlfriend at the Parc de la Chute-Monmorency just outside of Quebec City. She said yes.
We returned to New York this morning.

Wow, many congratulations Acunasti! That's such a joyous occasion.
Also, I heard Leilah's wedding was wonderful and I know she's very happy, but I'm sure we'll hear about it when she returns!
