if you look at the other eras when they start they where just as chaos, really thats almost what it takes for an era to change, I'd say somehting big will happen but no where near the end.imperialkhajiit wrote:Sorry, I meant more on the empire is collapsing with everyone secceding from the empire and volcanic eruptions and the Umbra

I'm also noticing also that Nirn is shrinking more and more every era. If you look their losing something, a continent or a province or a city every century and aren't gaining any.

I am somehow just coming to the realization that we are trying to predict the future. Sure, we have clues, but we have no evidence

You guys might also want to have a look at this thread. I'm still looking out for a Summerset Isles game, and I'm fairly sure Beth wants to make one. Hopefully they keep putting it off until the technology is just right to make it as magical as it deserves to be. Let's just hope they don't put it off too long

Summerset Isles, of course. I've always pictured the Altmeri architecture somewhat like the elven architecture from the Lord of the Rings.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
I guess the next game will be in Summerset Isles. Why? When Oblivion came out, I figured that the next would take place in Summerset Isles, High Rock or Skyrim (mainly Summerset Isles or Skyrim). Valenvood, Elsweyr and Black Marsh are a bit hard: especially in Valenvood and Black Marsh there is strong hate against civilization so it would be hard for many races. The way of life in those regions would force the game too much, so it would be hard for some races. (I'm not saying that those regions are bad, they just don't fit into the pan-tamrielic culture we've seen in the latest games).
Now when we go to Skyrim, what could be next? High Rock is too close, I'm afraid. Summerset Isles is environmentally totally different to Skyrim, and the old elvish culture is good for designing. Also Hammerfell might be possible, but somehow I don't see it as the place for the next Elder Scrolls. And hey, the Psijic Order's headquarters would be candy for us lore fans!

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
Just a theory, but this I know the basis is fact: Bethesda has wanted to do a Summerset game for ages, in fact TES III was originally to be The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal, set on the Isles. I'm almost convinced that Bethesda has big plans for Summerset, when they finally visit it, but I think they've been putting it off because the technology hasn't been up with their plans (we know the technology hadn't caught up to their plans for Morrowind, and they had to cut back the plan a fair bit, including removing the mainland). My theory, that Bethesda is waiting for the technology to catch up to their idea of Summerset, the question is has it done so yet, and what is their plan?

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
I believe that the technology is ready. They probably would just design the game first and tweak the technology at the same time. I would be mad if we had to wait for five years again.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
i would like it to be set in Summerset Isles and include the ability to capture/build and sail your own ship. There would also need to be some flying/levitation there, and pirates which may or may not be daedric in nature
and i would really like the architecture from now on NOT to be based on the LOTR movies lol
i was amazed and intrigued by Morrowind's alien look and feel, and then LOTR came out and Tamreil seems to have turned overnight into a version of middle earth

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
The summerset isles has recently opened to foreigners. It's a land shrouded in mystery and you have the xenophobia of elves, like in morrowind. Lots of magic, and the fact that it's isles would open it up to some ship travel maybe even *fingers crossed* Navy Battles (I'd love to see the Nords in action on the water, since they're supposedly so good at it)
Yes, I think Summerset Isles would be perfect; Skyrim had Dragon combat, Summerset Isles would have naval combat.
And who knows? Maybe some horse combat in Elder Scrolls VII? Or is that to early to think about?

Valenwood; Tropical atmosphere, cities in trees, basilisks and hippogriffs. Sounds like the Summerset isles but more nature-y and adventurous

I believe that the Elder Scrolls VI will take place in the Summerset Isle, because of the growing power of the Aldmeri Dominion.

Black Marsh. I've always been a huge Argonian fan, to the extent that i've modified my character from morrowind to skyrim to be the same Argonian Assassin, with explanations on how he has survived for over 200 years. and i love the environment of black marsh, closest weve gotten is Seyda Neen and i love that Envirostyle
Mobius One made it home.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
After the events of Skyrim, more than ever, I want some form of Aldmeri Dominion. Possibly Alinor, but maybe even Valenwood and/or Elsweyr as they might make for a more interesting Main Quest in relation to the Thalmor.
Perhaps Bethesda has finally decided it's time? Perhaps they're gearing up for it with little hints left lying around in Skyrim?

Summerset Isles or Black Marsh. Both areas are shrouded in a lot of mystery and I am interested in seeing the architecture and behaviour of the locals
. Elsweyr sounds interesting as well but I wouldnt mind if that wasnt in the near future.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
The whole of Tamriel (those 9 provinces) would only be remotely possible when next-gen systems come out.
I guarantee they won't do it until they explore the other provinces they haven't touched on. I'm hoping at least the next DLC will have dwarves in it. Disappointed to see how little they dwell or expand on Dwemer lore to the point of having dwarves ACTUALLY in the game.

Well, but that would contradict the lore, wouldn't it? I wonder, if they will have dwarves in a DLC, what event brought them back to Nirn.Morrovion wrote:The whole of Tamriel (those 9 provinces) would only be remotely possible when next-gen systems come out.

Nirn, or at the very least, all of Tamriel.
