Re: Playstyle for you first character?
Where's the pincushion option? I kept getting killed by scamps in Kvatch and bandits ganging up on me in caves. I played a mage type Breton but didn't really become survivable until I got some tips from friends and a better flare spell.

Your a sick person my friend...that's downright TES inter species erotica.SilentPsycho wrote:Khajiit thief. I've always played the first character as one, just because I love the sneaking/stealing aspects.
This time round, I will be Ri'Darva, a female khajiit who was arrested for being caught in bed with a Jarl's wife. She will use no magic, will either dual-wield daggers or use a bow depending upon the situation, and has a tendency to rush in where angels fear to tread.

Ri'Darva shouldn't be the one arrested. It should be the Jarl's wife. Ewwww... sooo skanky.... with a cat?SilentPsycho wrote:Khajiit thief. I've always played the first character as one, just because I love the sneaking/stealing aspects.

Stuff it, off with both their heads!
Go the Nords!... Bow and Dual swords. F magic in the A.
Totally,.. F it in the A......... ok, ok... maybe a little interested in magic. Never played with it in any ES games... beyond Heal spells. It's always been the one part of 'fantasy' that I don't like. Magic. But as another post said... it's looking pretty freakin temping.

Re: Playstyle for you first character?
I'll probably go for a battlemage-type character; however I've finally gotten around to playing a stealth character in Oblivion and I really enjoy it, plus stealth will be much more effective in Skyrim. I figure I'll just wait and see how everything handles before making my final decision, as is the intention on Beth's part anyway.

I will be an Argonian sniper that uses Runes (Magical traps)& more long ranged magic such as chain lightning or other forms that would keep the option of stealth alive.

Re: Playstyle for you first character?
A Dark Elf assassin for sure, as I really like my current character, Irvam. I'll also do my normal Argonian and Dark Elf characters, so that's a warrior sort of Adventurer and a Mage sort of Battlemage to close out the set of three.

Re: Playstyle for you first character?
Definitely a full-on stereotypical high elf mage. I'm one of those weird people who like to look at every quest and npc, so I'm really really excited to get started. The magic system looks AWESOME.
Re: Playstyle for you first character?
As I always do, the main quest first with a nord warrior.
In oblivion I did main quest first with an imperial knight
In morrowind, not finished with the main quest yet, but a dark elf mage.
And when elsweyr comes out, khajiit assassin.

Re: Playstyle for you first character?
Im probably gonna go Argonian Battlemage as never really used magic much in any game really as usually just got warrior type, might dabble it bit of alchemy and smithery too. Im still little undecided though but guess I have a few more weeks to decide

There looks like so many new cool classes to choose from, but definitely a dark elf mage will be in the mix somewhere.

Re: Playstyle for you first character?
There are too many options. I can't handle it. Every race (except for the Imperials, being boring as hell) looks so awesome. Every playstyle seems so awesome. I was thinking Dunmer battlemage at first, then I thought of a brutal Nord with sword and shield, then the all-out-magic Altmer mage and now I'm thinking about an Argonian thief.
It's not even worth thinking about anymore. I will decide the moment the races appear on my screen in-game, and I will be completely blown away whichever one I choose. Of this I am 100% sure.

Re: Playstyle for you first character?
I think in same boat as you, im really not 100% on what to be, I am almost certain though of battlemage type character focusing on destruction magic, 1 handed weapons and light armour...will dable in alchemy too and a bit lockpicking. Its the race im defo not 100% on thoughThe Number None wrote:There are too many options. I can't handle it. Every race (except for the Imperials, being boring as hell) looks so awesome.
