Shame on you GameInformer.
Was happily scanning the first paragraph of their hands on preview when suddenly something jumped out at me
"...the dragon god Anduil..."
I mean how difficult is it to keep that straight?

Could have been a typo or a spell checker. We're all human after all. I don't see it as that big a deal. However I will say, if I made that mistake I'd be kicking myself.

Be glad that the TES phrase "Ehlnofey" doesn't get thrown around in the media

I love grammar nazis. Especially when they nitpick a magazine that will actually post any errors they made in the next issue.

To be fair, saying Alduin quickly is pretty hard. I keep 'tripping' on the D.
I used to make polls, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

It's an easy enough word to remember. Imagine trying to remember words like discombobulated.

Re: Shame on you GameInformer.
I wouldn't say anything had it been in the actual article, but the mistake was in the article preface. Its not that difficult to check your spelling especially with a word that no spellchecker would recognize as part of the Oxford english language. Meaning it would have been underlined anyway.videogmer314 wrote:I love grammar nazis. Especially when they nitpick a magazine that will actually post any errors they made in the next issue.
Printing a retraction or correction should NOT be normal or acceptable, it happens but there should be no need for it. It's not a big deal, in any way, I just found it humorous seeing as GI has had an abundance of Skyrim coverage since their cover story.

Re: Shame on you GameInformer.
And they all have mistakes in them, go look at any other thing like game infomraer, they to have mistakes like this that are not coverd by spell check, even in the small areas, its not dig deal and not worth showing really.

Well, I've studied Latin so words like those are easier to remember to me.Lindai wrote:It's an easy enough word to remember. Imagine trying to remember words like discombobulated.
Alduin sounds like Southern American slang. "Git duwn here and gimme one o' dem all-du-inz!"

I think saying Alduil quickly is more difficult tbh.Rhcpftw wrote:To be fair, saying Alduin quickly is pretty hard. I keep 'tripping' on the D.
