WHY IS EVERYONE HATING ON OBLIVION????

Morrowind fan boys i'd say.

Id rather have the landmass smaller then less detailed so the news that the map is "about the same size" as Oblivion, didn't move me. Less space=more time to make it fun
and detailed.

Yep. Getting it right is more important than how big the place is.

Skyrim will be much bigger. The many mountain ranges will add lots of more areas to explore.

Yeah, the area of the world is roughly equal to that of Oblivion. The surface area is much greater.
