Communication in Skyrim

So, in Skyrim, do you think we'll be able to communicate with npc's in any other means then talking to them?
I thought about hiring messengers or special communication magic.

Besides using your fists to express dismay, no. There probably will be times where a person will run up to you and you will have to give them a response that they will deliver to somebody else, but I doubt it will be a feature that we could use whenever we want.

I've been thinking it'd be sweet if you got married and would be able to send letters to your beloved à la Spike from FiM. So you'd burn the letter with a special Letter-sending-fire spell and your spouse would receive it
Of course it would be kinda one-sided since the AI isn't good enough to answer all your letters coherently. It'd be like Cleverbot in Tamriel...

If everyone had their own private Coo, we might as well add guns and broadband to Tamriel. Letter-writing would be tedious and quite useless. Unless we can telepathically send messages using the Thu'um, I don't see any other ways of communicating other than speech.
