Corprus Cure
Im on the part where i have to get the guarskin drum and give it to Uupse Fyr, i found it but now when i try to give it to her she doesnt have any option to give it to her, although on the left hand side of the screen she does say i see you have found it but i cant give it to her. Would having killed all the corprus creatures outside the the Corprusarium Bowels have affected this?

Re: Corprus Cure
yes, yes it does. Killing the Corprus people down there makes the Argonian in the front attack you, but not much more that I remember. You do not have to give her the drum, though it makes the corprus stalkers not attack you. You should still be able to talk to Yagrum and finish the quest, the drum just makes it easier. (If I'm wrong I'm sure addictedtomorrowind will probably have the answer.)SirTimmHimself wrote:IWould having killed all the corprus creatures outside the the Corprusarium Bowels have affected this?

Re: Corprus Cure
You don't have to give her the drum, do you? Although now you have to reload an earlier save, killing anyone in the Corprusarium will make Divayth Fyr angry and now the main quest is ruined.

Re: Corprus Cure
This is going to sound reeeeealy weird, but the answer is to get naked and talk to him. Because of the way that the game makes people react when your naked, you will probably be able to talk to him.

Re: Corprus Cure
Darn, I could have sworn that that would work... I guess (if you can) load an earlier save, not a whole lot else you can do to finish the main quest well, with one exception... but there's nothing that can be done about your stats. I'm not sure if Yagrum would still talk to you, but a charm spell would probably work on Divayth to get him to talk to you.

Re: Corprus Cure
You didn't kill the Warden did you? Do you have the spell effect calm humanoid? You can create a 100 point spell to try and calm him. Or if you play on the pc, then you could try this: player->addspell "Corprus Immunity", and set the Journal to finished.

Re: Corprus Cure
I would say to try a Charm spell, if he isn't attacking you, all you may need to do is raise his disposition.

Re: Corprus Cure
You could use the console(if you play on pc) to set your magicka to a high level(like 9999) and cast the spell.

Re: Corprus Cure
I'd advise against using the console unless there is no other alternative. For one thing, it defeats a bit of the purpose of the game, I mean Morrowind is built so that your actions have consequences, really, you're not supposed to kill Corpus Creatures in the Corprusarium, and you are told not to. Secondly, sometimes it is hard to know what the console will do or what side effects a command will have, so if there is a gameplay way to fix a problem, I would almost always recommend it be tried first. Besides, it might be a good thing to work on the magical side of your character. Good luck

Re: Corprus Cure
If you did not kill any of his "daughters", the Warden, Vistha-Kai or Yagrum Bagarn, you can get back on his good side.
Go to Ald'ruhn. Inside Skar the big crabshell, find the shop, Cienne Sintieve: Alchemist. She has 11 bottles of Telvanni Bug Muskwhich you need to buy, then go back to Fyr. Drink four of them and see if you can talk to Fyr. If he still says Goodbye, then drink them one at a time until he talks to you. Once he talks to you, raise his disposition to at least 80, with big bribes.
You can only give the guarskin drum once you have been given the instructions to go down to the Corprusarium by Divayth Fyr. Before that she will not accept it.

cheers for all the help, ill try the Telvanni Bug Muskwhich idea, sounds the quickest rite now, my magicka level is far too low for charm and such, but ill get there eventually

Divayth Fyr has told me he would never forget what i did but will forgive me, thats all he says. Uupse Fyr doesnt mention anything about the drum so it seems as though this is going nowhere

Re: Corprus Cure
Try every conversation subject with Divayth Fyr and see if he mentions anything about a guarskin drum. Then I bet you can bring the drum down to Uupse. I don't even think you need the drum to finish the quest.SirTimmHimself wrote:Divayth Fyr has told me he would never forget what i did but will forgive me, thats all he says. Re: Corprus Cure
Once you have given the Dwemer Artifact given to you by Caius Cosades (or at least showed it) to Divayth Fyr then you get a journal update. After that update you can talk to Uupse Fyr and she will discuss/take the guarskin drum.

Re: Corprus Cure
The Guarskin Drum is pointless after he gets the corprus cured because all it does is make it so that the corprus people in the corpserium not attack him anyway, and if he has already killed one of the corprus people then it is kind of a moot point right?

Re: Corprus Cure
Still handy if he wants or needs to go back in though. But as long as Fyr is back onside, you should be able to continue with the mainquest without problem, just give him the Dwemer Boots of Flying.
