Worship of Talos Banned?!?!
Okay, so I heard somewhere (thought I can't remember where at the moment) that the worship of Talos/Tiber Septim is banned in Skyrim, which seem odd, seeing as how he is originally from Skyrim. Anyway, does anyone know why this would be? Also, will you be able to follow a certain Aedra or Daedra?

As for why my guess is that its not the same person, Talos is a mix of pepole and is the Empires take on it, most likely trhe nords dont share it

Thanks for the link Wolfie
Your not the only one and the mods do not post links to them when closing new threads either. Something I think they should do as standard before closing new threads.Deimos wrote:How do i keep missing these threads?! I looked back 3 pages and didnt see anything.my bad.....once again.

Re: Worship of Talos Banned?!?!
Dont they have a temple for tiber septim in the mountains? I could swear I saw concept art. Anyway, Tiber Septim founded one of the eras, so it makes sense for the rebels to censor him.Deimos wrote:Okay, so I heard somewhere (thought I can't remember where at the moment) that the worship of Talos/Tiber Septim is banned in Skyrim, which seem odd, seeing as how he is originally from Skyrim. Maybe that's the stone head in that one forest picture. It might be remnants of a statue of Talos. That would be interesting.

Re: Worship of Talos Banned?!?!
I have a feeling it has something to do with the persecution of the Blades. I guess Lorkhan just isn't meant to be a part of the Imperial Pantheon, having been kicked out twice now: once as Shezarr, and again as Talos.

Re: Worship of Talos Banned?!?!
Well, Skyrim IS in the middle of a civil war with one side fighting for the Empire and the other side fighting against it. I would assume that the anti-Empire side banned worshiping Talos because he's the biggest representation of the Empire itself. It doesn't matter if Tiber Septim was a Nord or not, he was the start of the Empire that they (the Stormcloaks) wish to secede from. This is just my theory of the whole thing.

Re: Worship of Talos Banned?!?!
Actually, this would be assuming that the Stormcloaks have as much or more political power than the Empire, which I doubt they have seeing that they're the rebels.Kenny_Biff wrote:Well, Skyrim IS in the middle of a civil war with one side fighting for the Empire and the other side fighting against it. Use the edit button please.
I think that the political power between the Empire and the rebels is split. I'm not sure though.
