I'm actually doing the opposite. I'm running through my planned first character in Oblivion, just to confirm and flesh out how I'm going to play them.Revenant wrote:I think I'd have less of a difficult time with it if I didn't stop playing Oblivion a few months ago.
Summer was too busy to have any down-time and enjoy it, and now that it's so close to Skyrim I don't want to get back into it - that way I'm starting with a clean slate

This is actually the answer i was going to write, not word for word, but close.Rose of Sithis wrote:I eat a lot. But I'd be doing that even without Skyrim's imminent release, so instead my answer will be "I play a lot of Minecraft". Then again, I'd be doing that without Skyrim's imminent release, too...so I just try not to think about it.

My niece's 2nd birthday happens one week before Skyrim is released.
Figuring out how to placate a lil' princess who is about to hit the "Terrible Two's" is a far greater challenge than facing some grumpy reptile in a video game.
In other words: I've got bigger issues to deal with, folks. I'm trying to figure out exactly which rock/punk/funk song I'll transcribe the melody for the fanciest mechanical music box I can ever afford her.

Oh how I envy you. Time to play video games after school. Those were the days. At the moment, I'm just too busy to worry about Skyrim, I'm so flat off my feet that sometimes I wish I could just forget the real world and stay here forever.

What a strange coincidence. My niece's 8th birthday is exactly one week after Skyrim's release.Dark Spark wrote:My niece's 2nd birthday happens one week before Skyrim is released.

Work, School and life in general takes up most of my time, so I don't really have much time to waste. But post Skyrim's release, I will become a recluse for a few days.

I'll probably have to wait until the end of November to play it... I gotta buy myself a new machine but I won't be able to afford it until then, I think...

Re: How do survive the waiting?
I'm planning a wedding. Some might say that I chose to time it just so that I could keep myself occupied until a bit after the release of Skyrim, but I will not confirm this. Nor will I comment on the rumours that I'm more excited about Skyrim. Also, on account of Skyrim being released like 2 weeks before my wedding/birthday, I'll have to wait until December to play it. I'm watching the trailer a lot. Overandover.
Also, I'm also in dire need of a brand new PC to play it. Luckily it seems that we'll be able to afford one.

Heh, they won't (probably) even sell the game where I live at the moment, so I'll have to wait for more than a month.
I used to make polls, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

Can we swap? I'd give nearly anything to be busy. Unemployment is driving me crazy. I'd even accept less time to play video games for a job!OblivionDuruza wrote:Oh how I envy you. Re: How do survive the waiting?
I've been passing the time by playing Oblivion. However, Oblivion hasn't taken my mind off Skyrim and the torturous month of waiting that lies ahead. It's actually had the opposite effect.

Re: How do survive the waiting?
School, Minecraft, Fallout: New Vegas, any other game that I find interests me, and the prospect of Borderlands 2 keeps me pretty aligned. But since the X-Box 360 went Red Ring o' Death, it's been kinda tough...

Re: How do survive the waiting?
It feels as if Skyrim was only announced a few weeks ago. I've handled the wait very well. Two weeks now until Battlefield 3 so that will keep my occupied 'til 11/11/11. That and college life.
