top priority "to-do" list on 11-11-11
I would like to here some of your top-priority things to do when you first get your hands on skyrim:)
after booting up the game, perfecting my character and immersing myself into the awsomeness of the world these are some of the things i feel the need to do and look into as a first
first im gonna find a stealthy looking armour (assassin ftw:) and theeeeeen:
systematicaly go through the skill tree and plan what perks should go where to make my idea of the ideal stealth char., check out the door at the frozen lake and see whats that about, look for confirmation of the umbra sword, find the shrine of sheogorath and see if it's connected to SI, check out a dwemer ruin...
these are but a few of the things im looking most forward to do on the day my social life ends

Find some stealthy looking armour and a pair of good daggers, Track down Maiq the liar, get an instant stealth kill and look over all the perks.

Re: top priority "to-do" list on 11-11-11
I think we had a thread like this already.
Anyways, my top priority is to enjoy the game to it's fullest. I'm going to play the game slowly, adventure, and read every book I come across and talk to everybody. I'm also not going to just hack-n-slash my way through the battles, I'm going to switch weapons and equipment regularly (even if it's not necessary) and actually enjoy killing the fearsome bandits and draugrs!

Spend quite some time perfecting my character.
After finishing the tutorial, make my way to Riverwood (since it has been covered a lot get it out of the way first, leaving only fresh content)
Go exploring without any goals, doing whatever I feel like doing

Well, after I found the thread I was talking about, I realized that it isn't exactly the same, but quite close

Once I get the game I will fully immerse myself in it. My top priority though is to check out all the LORE and read all the Books I can. Oh and have a super awesome Sorcerer Breton

This ^. I'm really looking forward to seeing the dwemer ruins aswell. It was one of the coolest things about Morrowind imo. I hope they still have names like Arkngthand and Arkngthunch-Sturdumz (yes, I googled "dwemer ruins"...) and that they still make deep metal-against-metal sounds like all the time.Knight wrote:I think we had a thread like this already.

first and foremost I want to get myself associated with all of the more major cities, not too heavy into them but just a walk around to get a feel for it
and after I've done that I'll probably focus on getting a few quests deep into the mages guild before I actually start the main quest

Re: top priority "to-do" list on 11-11-11
I'm going to head down to Riverwood and check out the shop system and then head up to the Bleak Falls Barrow and finish the quest in there to earn myself that achievement. There are honestly too many things are need to do on day one, once I pick up my copy at midnight I'm going to be up all night and my social life will end.
I don't know how much I will be able to accomplish in one night, but it definitely won't be enough to let me sleep peacefully.

Re: top priority "to-do" list on 11-11-11
Poking fun at the title, my top priority on 11-11-11 will be to buy Skyrim. After that, install the game onto my hard drive (on the 360), for various reasons. Whenever I buy a new game, I have the odd habit of watching all of the initial screen that other people generally click through. Sorta builds up to actually starting the game, I guess. Gets me excited. Then, when it gets time to create my character, I'll probably spend a great deal of time inspecting every single slider bar, to see what it does, et cetera, though I'll probably only end up adjusting major things, because if I tweaked everything, I'd probably find a way to make my character look utterly terrible. After that, I'll follow the main quest to completion, do the DB questline, tour the other guild questlines briefly, do some side quests, explore, et cetera.
Of course, there's every chance that once I start the game, I'll be completely blown away by anything and everything in the game, and sit marveling at a stump and trying to remember what to do next.

Re: top priority "to-do" list on 11-11-11
Plunder the character creation system for all it is worth. And I mean plunder. I'll probably spend half an hour on each race, pondering the backstory and nature of each and I go through them all. I heard they don't reset when you check out other races, so I'm hopeful :3.
Then I shall begin, and from there it is mostly unplanned. I'll just react to whatever is thrown at my character as it happens. Scream a lot when I hear voices I recognize, oogle over the people, splash about in a pond. Maybe try and set something on fire. Not a person. Unless they ask for it >:D
And I shall continue in this fashion for the week following 11.11.11.

Spending ages getting my ONE and ONLY character perfect.
Then playing like a mother [&@%!] till Skyrim is hurt so bad, she's begging for me to stop.

I hate it when you pre-order a game and it arrives 2 or 3 days after the release date. If I'm going to pre-order I expect it to arrive before the others get it!
