The chunk that the chickens were spawning in (there were so many chickens there that it looked like there were none) has been filled with lava. I think that should do the trick!
Edit: Every time the server restarts, the chunk resets! This is kind of bad!

I'm working on this big ancient ruin project, my particular texture pack makes it looj perfect. I was walking around when I found this big series of trenches in the ground. There was a lake, I opened a few blocks and made a waterfall flowing into one of the trenches. I plan to create underground houses and buildings all with windows looking into the trench and the waterfall. The bottom of the trench will be a large garden type thing.

1.9 looks likes it's shaping up rather well. I'm wondering if the,"Ender", realm will be truly completed in time for release. Or if they'll have to tweak it later in the future. Can't wait to bag me an enderdragon though.

Hey guys I don't play Minecraft but I went with my lady and some friends to GDCO in Austin

Minecraft won 2 awards Best Live Game (of 2011) and Best Community Relations (2011) (Me and my group were there representing the game we love called Wizard101 who got nominated in both those categories. We are all part of the blogging/podcast community for Wizard101) I am happy to say on a unrelated note Wizard101 won the Audience Award.

So clue me in peeps what's so good about this game? I am curious.

It's adictive mainly.

it lets you build with blocks, think if you feel in to a lego world, can build lots of stuff

and really cool, but it requires you to come up with somethign to do

Basically, you can make anything with these giant blocks. Not only can you make sructures, but there's electrical stuff, resource hunting, and mob hunting.

For example, I'm now building a massive underground city.

Okay, I'm not ignoring this thread anymore. I'm a Minecraft nut, although I don't get to play often.

I'm pretty scared about this dragon business. Most of my buildings tend to include towers (you got to look out and be lofty, man!), and I foresee many collisions. I'm not entirely looking forward to the mess that will almost certainly happen.

Also, I wish I had some screenshots, but maybe I can download the old server and load it up... On my first real server, which was closed due to update issues with some transportation mods we had up, I had an entire island that I was building up for myself. I had a lighthouse (complete with red and white stripes), a huge manor with a deck over the ocean and a hedge wall in front (named Chateau Gri, but tenderly referred to, for some reason, as "Steve"), a huge plantation, an automatic sugarcane farm, an inn, the beginnings of a public park...it was great. I was not happy to lose it.

What I want to learn now is circuitry. I've always been just a builder, never playing with that, but on my new world on SSP I want to use trains and neat things to connect my creations across a wide distance. Anyone know any good videos for that off the top of their head?
