The Journal of Ladamyre, Knight of Azura (SPOILER ALERT)

Prologue

This is the story of how I created a character (Ladamyre) that finished the main quest of Morrowind and replaced Tholer Saryoni as the Patriarch of the Tribunal Temple, became the Grandmaster of House Hlaalu and the Morag Tong, Master of the Fighter's Guild, Archmage of the Mage's Guild, Master Thief of the Thieves' Guild, became a Primate in the Imperial Cult and Knight of the Imperial Legion, achieved the top rank in all these factions AND reached 100 in all of his attributes in 50 level-ups in less than 50 days of game time!

No, I do not cheat to get him to this goal. No console commands and no potion "stacking", making a fortify intelligence potion and drinking it, making another and drinking it, ad nauseum until my intelligence is 50,000 so I can make some outrageous fortify strength potion or some such nonsense. I leveled him up normally, trained him up within the spirit of the game and made use of all aspects of combat, magic and stealth that, I'm sure once you've read the story, you'll all agree is a fair and creative use of the ordinary tools made available to us all. I also wanted this to be a fun playable saga, and end up with a character that isn't hobbled or that has cut himself off from further adventures. This is a game after all.

I will use time travel to the past, you know... save the game, try something, fail, reload the save. Oh THAT time travel. We all do it, right? Let me digress a bit and say that I will make use of 3 plug-ins, two official and one not. (I'm not counting the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions. I'm using both.) The official ones will get me the Adamantium Helm of Tohan (EBQ Artifact) and really good arrows (Area Effect Arrows), I will let you guys guess what the un-official one is. Some of you may already have an idea, I'm sure many will later figure it out as the saga progresses. Near the end only the true newbies won't know what it is but I will tell all in the epilogue.

Foreword

Ladamyre is a male nord and specializes in magic. Endurance and luck are his favorite attributes and he was born under the Sign of the Lady. As such he starts level one with 55 hit points, 30 magicka and 205 endurance. His attributes are 50 strength, 30 intelligence, 40 willpower, 30 agility, 40 speed, 85 endurance, 55 personality and 50 luck.

His major skills are 30 short blade, 40 blunt weapon, 35 enchant, 35 restoration, and 35 conjuration: his minor skills are 20 heavy armor, 15 light armor, 15 athletics, 15 marksman and 20 mysticism. These add up to 260 points of major and minor skills all told and with 1000 to get (but not in this story), at 10 per level up, Ladamyre can advance 74 levels. However, he can get another 5 levels if I take advantage of a legitimate trick I will tell you about later. So he can end up at level 80 with probably 844 hit points. So far so good.

Because he's a nord he is 100% resistant to frost at all times, unless a weakness to frost spell hits him, 50% resistant to shock, same conditions, and he has the Woad (shield 30 points for 60 seconds) and Thunder Fist (frost damage 25 points on touch) powers he can use once a day. Being born under the Sign of the Lady has bumped up his personality and endurance 25 points each to their current levels, and his having mysticism, conjuration and restoration as major skills has given him the spells Detect Creature, Bound Dagger, Summon Ancestral Ghost and Hearth Heal. Even better!

Now, in order to get the attributes up to 100 in each category in 50 level-ups in less than 50 days, I've got to make efficient use of the leveling system. As we all know (except the greenest of newbies), when the character gains 10 points in major or minor skills, he gets to level up. And the amounts of skill determine how many points he can add to his attributes when he levels up. Skills can rise from use: e.g. if I hit with my short sword enough times, the skill for it will go up a point, and if I run long enough, my athletics will go up a point. Both of those skills are speed skills. Now, when I level up, the number of skills attributes I have gained since last level-up determine a multiplier I can use for attribute increase; and the skill doesn't have to be a major or minor skill for this calculation. For instance, let's say that since last level up I've gained 4 short blade and 4 athletics (both speed skills) and 2 hand-to-hand, a miscellaneous speed skill that does nothing toward gaining me points for level up. In this case I will have 10 points towards a multiplier for speed on the next level up only. Two more major or minor skill increases and I can level up and use the 10 speed multiplier points I already have for an increase in speed, but I must use them on the next level up or they are lost.

Here are the stats for those attribute multipliers: if there are no increases in a given attribute I can add one point to it; if there are 1 to 4, I can add two points; 5 to 7, 3 points; 8 or 9, 4 points; and 10 or more for 5 points of attribute increase. There are 3 slots for 3 attributes to get multipliers on each level up.

So, using a skill makes it go up, but we can also pay a trainer to train us. But each session takes up 2 hours of game time. Let's stop here and do some math so we can get an idea of what Ladamyre is up against.

I said 50 days or less, so that's 24 x 50 = 1200 hours. 1200 hours to finish all the goals. The most efficient use of the leveling system time wise would be to go for 5 attribute-common skill points on each level up for a 3 point increase in that attribute. For every 10 skill training sessions let's say, 20 hours training time, I'd get 6 points of the given attribute, instead of doing them all at once and getting only 5. But, I also must do this in 50 level ups, so let's look at how I do that.

First off, luck has no associated skill for it so I must use a slot for it on every single level up. I noted there are 3 slots available on each level up, that leaves 2, so in 50 level ups there will 100 slots available to get the rest of my attributes to 100.

Strength is at 60 so if I do a +5 on each it will take 8 slots. Intelligence is at 30; 14 slots. Willpower is at 40; 12 slots. Agility is at 30; 14 slots. Speed is at 40; 12 slots. Endurance is at 75; 5 slots. So far only 55 slots used! Only personality is left and, OH SHI....

I have no major or minor skill to train for personality! And not only that, but each of those 55 slots already accounted for, at +5 each, represents 20 hours of training time! 20 x 55 = 1100 hours! AND to make matters worse each time I rest to level up it takes another hour, 1150 hours! I don't have time to train even one session in a miscellaneous personality skill, and with it at 55 it looks like it has to use the remaining 45 slots at +1 per. (?)

As it turns out that's not even doable because there seems to be an unfixable glitch in the game engine, at least on my PC. It seems that the first attribute I will max out, endurance, I will take to 95, then I will do another 10 sessions in heavy armor and on the next level up it will get a +5 multiplier taking it to 100. After that, if I try to do the same with any other attribute, when they get to 95 I will only get a +1 option. So for the other 5, strength, intelligence, willpower, agility and speed, I MUST take each from 95 to 99 with a +4 and get the last point on a +1 slot. That adds 5 more slots to the 55 I mentioned earlier, so I'll have to get some multipliers for personality. And then there's that time pressure...

But I'm gonna be alright as the veterans know because there's books...

Skill increasing books... I read a certain book and the skill for it goes up one point. And it doesn't use any game time to read it either. But it does take time to go get them, fight for them, steal them. It turns out there are 137 of these books, 5 for each skill except 2 which have open versions of the same book that will give an increase, so those two skills (axe and destruction) have 6 each.

Good news! So I can take off training time... 137 x 2 = 274 hours saved, right? Wrong. Not quite that much, remember where I said I could get an extra 5 levels if I made use of a trick? Well the trick involves the books. If I wait until a major or minor skill is already at 100, and read one of the books for that skill, the skill won't go to 101, it'll stay at 100, BUT I will get a point towards another level up. Ten major and minor skills (remember none of mine are axe or destruction) with 5 books each adds up to 5 extra level ups. But that doesn't mean I'm knocking off 100 of those saved hours, five of my skills will max out before this saga is over and I will read their books gaining those points for level up and attribute increase multilpiers, so I lose 50 hours to get the extra 5 levels. I'm down to 224 hours saved.

More good news though, there's 15 personality books; the most efficient use of those will be to read one book per for 15 level ups getting 30 points of increase and taking it to 85. Even at 1 per for the last 15, means personality would use 30 slots, the other 7 attributes are gonna use 60, so I have 10 left over. Whew!

Now, let's see how bad the time pressure is. Let's account for the maximum (worst case scenario) time I'll spend training. As I said earlier I will spend no time training for personality skills.

Strength: 11 slots. I will train blunt weapon as I don't expect to use it enough for a natural increase; 6 sets of ten sessions each (120 hours) taking it to 100 and strength to 80, then read 20 of the 21 miscellaneous skill strength books for two more +5 slots, I'll have an opportunity (and need) to do a lot of axe fighting for another +5 slot, two more pops at axe then read the last M.S. strength book and the 5 blunt weapon for the next to last +4 addition to strength. 120 hours training time for strength.
Intelligence: 15 slots. I will train enchant to 100 so I can read all 5 of it's books, you will find out why it's more important than conjuration later in the story. Six sets of 10 sessions each (120 hours) taking it to 95. Then train 5 more (10 hours) and read it's 5 books. Then read the ten miscellaneous skill intelligence books. Then train alchemy by making potions for 5 sets of 10 sessions each (1 or 2 hours gathering the ingredients) taking intelligence to 95; then 8 sessions (maybe another hour) for the next to last +4 addition to intelligence. 133 hours accounted for intelligence although I will get at least 2, probably 3 or maybe even 4 natural increases in enchant because I will be using enchanted items a lot.
Willpower: 13 slots. I will train restoration to 100 first so I can read all of it's books, you will find out why it's more important than mysticism later in the story. Six sets of 10 sessions each (120 hours) taking it to 95, then train 5 sessions and read it's 5 books (10 hours). Then 3 sets of mysticism training at 10 each (60 hours), taking willpower to 90. Read 10 of the 11 miscellaneous skill willpower books taking it to 95, then read the last m.s.w. book and train 7 more mysticism (14 hours) for the next to last +4 in willpower. 204 hours accounted for in willpower although I will get at least 3, probably 4 or even maybe 5 natural increases in mysticism because I will be casting the Recall, Almsivi and Divine Intervention spells a lot, and I will be casting a special mysticism spell a lot too. You'll find out about it later.
Agility: 15 slots. I will train light armor to 100 first so I can read all 5 of it's books, you will find out why it's more important than marksman later in the story. Eight sets of 10 sessions each (160 hours) taking it to 95, then one set of 5 (10 hours) and read it's 5 books. Then read the 10 miscellaneous skill agility books and 3 sets of marksman training at 10 sessions each (60 hours) and one last set of 8 sessions (16 hours) for the next to last +4 in agility. Same as intelligence, 246 hours for agility. I'm not likely to get any natural increases in either of these skills.
Speed: 12 slots. I will train short blade to 100 first so I can read all of it's books, you can guess why it's more important than athletics, duh. Seven sets of 10 sessions each (140 hours). Then read it's 5 books and train 5 sessions of athletics (10 hours), and then 2 sets of athletics at 10 each (40 hours) and read the 10 miscellaneous skill speed books taking it to 95, then one last set of 8 athletics training (16 hours) for the next to last +4 in speed. Same as willpower, 206 hours, but this is one area I will definitely save a lot of training time because I will be swinging my short blade a lot and if you see me say "I went" or "I go" I really mean I ran. I will be running if I'm not flying... most of the time.
Endurance: 3 slots. As I mentioned earlier this is the one attribute I can go +5's all the way to 100 so, 2 sets of heavy armor at 10 sessions each makes for 40 hours, and the 10 medium armor and spear books (miscellaneous) finish off endurance.

Summing up: Strength's 120 plus Intelligence's 133 make 253, plus Willpower's 194 make 447, plus Agility's 246 make 693, plus Speed's 206 make 899, plus Endurance's 40 make 939 hours to spend training, oh, and every level up uses another hour, 989 hours... at the most.

That leaves 211 hours... or 8 days and 19 hours to spend running all over Vvardenfell, gathering up all those books, beating up the bad guys and accomplishing all the tasks I have set forth in the prologue.

Azura help me.

My Journal
by Ladamyre

Day 1 - I Arrive in Vvardenfell at Seyda Neen.

After the census taker gives me my papers I try to read one of the books on a shelf there but I drop it and the guard thinks I'm trying to steal it. I figure if it had been in my inventory he would've known it was stolen and took it away from me. He told me he was gonna cut me some slack but that once I left the census and excise office I'd be arrested if I did it again. Guess I'd have to either pay a fine, go to jail (always a bad thing) or fight, probably to the death. But telling me that was a mistake. Knowing that if a stolen item isn't in my inventory he can't take it from me, and that I've got "slack" until I leave the office, I decide to pick the place clean. I just pick up every item while in my inventory access screen and drop them, then when he gives me another warning I pick them back up and move on to the next, carefull to make sure every stolen item is dropped again before he warns me again so he won't take them. I get to the next building for more loot and to get my orders so I can leave. I'm about 50 pounds overweight when I go out the door, but I drop a bunch of cheap stuff so I can move once outside. Let me say it again, I pick the place clean.

I run into a bosmer named Fargoth who says he lost a ring, wonders if I've seen it. Turns out it's the ring with a healing enchantment on it I found, but Azura whispers to me to give it to him so I do. I then run to the tradehouse there and see the owner Arrille. He must be a friend of that bosmer because he seems to like me already. I butter him up with 10 gold and his disposition goes to 100. I sell him a bottle, then buy the spell "Resist Magicka" for 39 gold (this way the money I spent for the spell is now in his inventory) and then barter away with him, selling him some of the stolen goods I got (I'm keeping the limeware platter, 2 jugs of sujamma and a warehouse key I found). I buy a scroll of Ondusi's Unhinging and then sell him back the rest of the stuff I'm not keeping and wind up with all of his gold. I leave him with 939 in gold, the scroll, the directions to Balmora and package for Caius I'm supposed to need for my "mission" for the emperor, the platter, sujamma, key... oh, and my pants.

I go upstairs and meet Hrisskar who asks me if I want to recover some gold for him, I agree to do it. Then I run outside to Eldafire's house and put a jug of sujamma on the ground next to the door, then stack the other on top of it, nice balancing act. Then I pick up the one on the bottom and the second one magically hangs in the air! I put the first on top of it and then the platter on top and then remove both jugs and the platter hangs in mid-air. Too cool. So I put up everything but my gold, pants and the Ondusi scroll on the platter 'cause I'm gonna use that scroll on Eldafire's front door and I'm sure to get caught.

I am and I pay the 5 gold fine and go inside to find the skillbook "Notes on Racial Phylogeny". I just pick it up. From here on if I mention a skillbook by name that I find I'll just pick it up. I'll tell you when I read it.

I loot the rest of the place and then go outside, put the book on the platter and drop the rest of the loot on the gound. I grab the warehouse key and run to the Census and Excise Warehouse, set a time portal (F5 = savegame) and use the key to go inside. I run upstairs and open the first crate on the floor there and find Imperial Steel, Shield, Boots and Chain Cuirass. Azura tells me to use the time portal so I go back in time and do it again. Almost, this time it was an Imperial Steel, Left Gauntlet, Pauldron and Chain Cuirass. Azura tells me to keep trying and that when I get 3 good Imperial Steel items from that chest that there's another on the ground floor that will have 3 in it, and that I should get the mates for the ones I get here. Azura's right, as long as I don't take or add anything to a container, if I go outside, set a time portal again, and travel back to the portal, most of the containers change the items inside.

Long story short, I wind up with a full set of steel armor w/towershield, most of it Imperial, an iron wakizashi, 2 bottles of skooma, 24 pcs. of moonsugar, the ledger, and a bunch of assorted loot including Gold Kanet, Heather, Soneflower Petals and Willow Anther. I think I'll make a bouquet out if these, maybe I'll meet a nice girl...

After picking up the stuff I had dropped earlier, I go to the floating platter and put the skooma, moonsugar, ledger and flowers on it and go to Arille for more scrolls and sujamma. I get back to the platter with a scroll of Almsivi Intervention, 4 scrolls each of Ondusi's Unhinging and Vitality, 3 bottles of Flin, and 7 more jugs of sujamma. Then I hear Azura tell me to head east, through the mountain pass and into a tomb on the left there. "Retrieve the skull, book and dagger.", she says. It's 1PM now and I pack 2 sujamma and 2 scrolls of vitality and go across the creek, past the siltstrider, through the pass and find the Andrano Ancestral Tomb. Diz muz be de plaze.

Once inside I go down the stairs and find a dead adventurer but just keep running down the ramp. I guess it's his ghost chasing me so I ready myself to conjure up a bound dagger, just before I enter a room with 2 skeletons. Being 74% sure to hit on the spell, it does, I then drink a sujamma and they go down fast but none of them have a book or dagger and I can't get their skulls. Must be further down, so I go through a door and down a curved ramp and open the first door. Damn, a lesser bonewalker, I wax him before he hits me with his curse, and then find the skill book "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 15", the skull of Llevule Andrano and an enchanted chitin dagger, "The Dagger of Judgement". These must be the items Azura wanted. There was another skeleton waiting outside the door for me but I get him and escape the ghosts' curse as I run back outside.

I look to the left as I exit and the mountain doesn't look so steep from this side so I decide to take a shortcut back to Seyda Neen. It is passable and I ramble back down the other side of the mountain to find myself just outside Addamasartus, which turns out to be a smuggler's cave. Now 2 PM and with my magicka back to 100%, I conjure up another bound dagger and go inside. I cast woad, drink the last sujamma and finish off 3 smugglers, loot the bodies, crates and anything else laying around, then free the 3 slaves they had. Slavers! It's 3 PM as I leave, I notice some mushrooms growing just outside, Luminous Roussela and Violet Coprinous, so I take some. Maybe I can make a stew for that nice girl, show her what a talented man I am.

I go back to my platter to put up some skooma and moonsugar I found at the cave, pick up the loot I had dropped and go to Arrille's to trade for some more scrolls and sujamma. When I leave I catch a faint smokey smell on the wind... Hey that could be Firebite... Maybe an enchanted weapon. So I head off east and follow my nose to a hollow stump in a pond and there's a Firebite dagger in it and 50 gold.

I hear a noise from up high to the north-east and run up the path to see a guy falling from the sky. He falls to his death and I read his journal, seems the guy's name is Tarhiel and he thought he could make a very strong jump spell scroll and didn't think about how he was going to land. Idiot. It's now 4PM and as I'm heading back I notice a tree with two kinds of fungus growing on it, Hypha Fascia and Bungler's Bane. More mushrooms for the stew!

Then I thought I heard a commotion over by some rocks and go over to see, and I find the dead body of the local tax collector, Processus Vitellus. From his records it appears he ran into some difficulty with a local named Foryn Gilnith. I can't let this go unpunished so when I get back to Seyda Neen I go straight to Gilnith's (behind Arrille's) and he makes no bones about killing the tax man... says he was corrupt. But that's no excuse for murder and he goes down to my bound dagger pretty fast. In his shack I find the skillbook, "A Dance in the Fire, Chapter 6" and loot the rest of the cabin.

I'm about to go to the Census and Excise Office to tell them about Processus' killer and that I've taken care of it but decide to scout out the lighthouse Hrisskar thought I should use as a lookout to see where Fargoth is hiding his money. I find another hollow stump near the entrance with a silverware cup and 25 gold in it, then another stump out back in a pond with an Iron Shardaxe in it. Back up in the lighthouse itself I find 4 traveler's lanterns, the skillbook, * "The Wraith's Wedding Dowry" * and some other stuff which I get. I also find a shortcut down, I can walk off the stairs outside into a tree that breaks my fall.

I go to Arrille's to trade for what will probably be our last session, more scrolls and sujamma. Now 8PM, just about dark, I go pick up all my stuff and the platter and go tell them the good news at the excise office. Socucius Ergalla rewards me with 500 gold for the "sanction" on Gilnith. I leave to go wait it out at the top of the lighthouse.

I get there and it's 9PM so I wait. At exactly 10PM Fargoth comes sniffing around, torch in hand. He doesn't see me and heads over to a stump in a small pond. By that time I've jumped down through the tree and have gone over for a closer look. He's doing something with that stump. He turns and leaves and I go in and find his stash, 300 gold and the ring! My Lady knows the future, she always said she'd take care of me. I'm leaving with 2050 in gold, 4 skooma, 34 moonsugar, 8 scrolls of Ondusi's Unhinging, 7 Vitality, 3 Argent Glow, 1 Vigor and 1 Almsivi Intervention (my ticket to Vivec City), the skull, book and dagger, 4 skillbooks, the 4 flowers for my future girl and the 4 mushrooms for our first-date stew, Processus Vitellus' ring which I kept because it's an exquisite ring I can enchant, an expensive amulet, 17 jugs of sujamma, 6 Flin and 2 soul gems, 1 lesser and 1 petty.

I had my escape planned so I invoke the Almsivi scroll and instantly find myself outside the High Fanes' in Vivec, still 10PM. I turn, put down the skooma and moonsugar, set a time portal and bribe Danso Indules up to 100 (costs me 50 gold), then buy the spells "Almsivi Intervention" and "Restore Speed" from her. I pick up my stuff, drink a sujamma so I can run faster (when the sujamma wears off I drink another), then head north at a full gallop for the Foreign Quarter, to the Mage's Guild there. Athletics pops along the way, there'll be a couple more of those speed multipliers for the first level up because I'm running everywhere and, I hope, more than one short blade too.

When I get to the Mage's Guild I talk to Malven Ramori and join up, then run straight to Sirilonwe, set a time portal and bribe her up to 100, costs me 40 gold and speechcraft popped but it's not a big deal. I know I won't level up personality next but a few points here and there won't make a noticeable difference. I buy the spells "Ondusi's Open Door", "Slowfall", "Golanar's Eye-Maze", "Mark", and "Recall", then run to the transporter and take Mage Transport to Balmora.

Once there I buy the spell "Soultrap" from the transporter and turn to a Khajit named Ajira. I ask her about my duties and it turns out she needs those mushrooms I have so I give them to her and she gives me 4 restore health potions that will come in handy. I set up my platter next to the entrance there and put all of my books, those restore health potions, the moonsugar, 2 of the skooma, the skull and dagger, the keys, all the scrolls except one Vigor and P.V.'s ring on the platter.

I then go get Estirdalin to make a little spell I've had in mind since I bought that resist magicka spell from Arille. She makes me a resist magicka 100% on self spell with no time element specified. For what I need it for, it'll last long enough. I call it "Equip Damaging Item" and it costs 140 gold, but it will be well worth it. The casting success chance is 63%, good. I turn to the transporter and go to Caldera.

Day 2 - Gathering Tools and "Ingredients"

When I get there I drink a sujamma and run straight out the north gates and turn due west. Day 2, 12AM and I turn north after a huge pile of boulders, then I come up on the road and a naked nord standing there which I just pass by. The road forks off to the right there and I take it, then the sujamma wears off. I invoke the vigor scroll and come up on another fork in the road, this time taking the left one and I see a female redguard with the boots I'm looking for. I've heard about her and those boots and I will have them, NOW. When you're on a mission from god, anything is justified, and in this case, it's murder.

It's Pemenie and as I close on her position I invoke my bound dagger and attack her immediately. She goes down pretty fast and short blade pops during the battle. Very good, I want to train speed along with endurance first. From her dead body I take a steel viperaxe, expensive shirt, pants and belt and the "Boots of Blinding Speed"! These boots are what I had that spell made for back in Balmora. They're constant effect and blind 100%, which the 100% resistance to magicka on self will counteract, but they also fortify speed 200 points! I cast my spell and a soon as it hits I access my inventory and put on the boots. When I leave my inventory I get told I have resisted magicka (I can still see) and my speed goes up to 240! I can run almost as fast as a cliff racer can fly. This is good, very good.

I run straight back to Caldera and through the town to the southernmost of the south gate towers and make a time portal as Azura has instructed, she says there's a crate in there with a single random steel weapon. It's 1AM. I go inside and find a steel wakizashi in a crate (just the thing), the skillbook "Mystery of Talara, part 3", and a bunch of steel armor. I drink a sujamma because I'm heavy now and run back outside to the other tower and get a bunch of weapons and assorted stuff from two more crates and a sack.

I go outside and into Ghorak Manor, and rescue the skillbook "The Wolf Queen, Book VII" from the fire. The orcs yell "Thief!" but nobody tries to stop me. I get another skillbook, "Night Falls on Sentinel", then empty the crates downstairs, run upstairs two flights and get a partial set of orcish armor, a couple of books and assorted items. I go back down one flight and sell 5000 worth of gear, potions and other items to a scamp named "Creeper", who pays the full manufacturer's suggested retail price for everything he's willing to buy, no clothing and no ingredients BTW. I wind up wearing the orcish armor, then clean out the place.

I run back outside and to Verrick Germain the trader, set a time portal and bribe him up to 100, cost me 50 gold and speechcraft pops again. I buy an "Amulet of Recall", two of the ugly yellow metal expensive amulets, and one each of the white and red ones, then sell off what he'll buy walking away with 300 of his gold. Oh, I kept Pemenie's shirt, I'll need it later. Mercantile popped too, no big deal. Then Azura tells me to go to the pawnbroker Irgola and buy the propylon index he has, then to the clothier Falanaamo and buy a common red shirt and black vest combo, I get the shirt and vest, 1 extravagant ruby amulet and 4 of the ugly yellow metal expensive amulets. I'll use these to make "trainers" with (you'll find out what a "trainer" is later), it's 3AM when I leave.

I take MT to Balmora where Ajira informs me she has a bet with Galbedir and I agree to swap a fake soul gem with one in Galbedir's desk for her. I turn to my platter and pick up the moonsugar, skooma and my scrolls, and drop off the empty amulets.

Then I go to Marayn Dren and set a time port... aw, you know the drill. I buy the spells, "Waterbreathing" and "Levitate" from him, then go over to the orc in the corner (smells like necromancy here) and wait for Galbedir to show up. She comes downstairs and stands next to the tree, and I go up to her station and swipe all her stuff, making the swap with the fake soul gem last, and immediately go outside. This will insure Galbedir stays downstairs, there's a chest with a 90 point lock on it here and I want her to be gone when I come back with something strong enough to open it.

I go to the khajit trader Ra'Virr and bribe him up to 100, speechcraft pops again. He'll buy skooma and moonsugar, and has a 3000 gp tanto and a 9000 gp katana that he restocks. I trade him the greater soul gem and the moonsugar, the 2 lesser soul gems worth 400 each , 2 candles and a pot for that tanto and katana... Oh, and a ceramic bowl Azura wants me to get. I then go tell Ajira the good news.

She likes the news and then tells me she needs flowers, the very ones I'm holding. I surrender the buds and then she wants that bowl Azura told me to get. I give it to her but next she's talking about stolen reports. My guess is they're somewhere inside the guild so I go run fetch them and she rewards me with 5 exclusive potions, altogether worth 875 gold at the creeper's in Caldera. I then go bribe Galbedir up to 100 and buy 2 Almsivi and 2 Divine Intervention scrolls from her.

I gotta get out of here for now because I've got something important to do. So, taking the Fiend Katana and Pemenie's shirt, the 8 Ondusi and 4 Intervention scrolls, the ten cheap potions Ajira has given me (4 restore health and 6 restore magicka) and the 12 sujamma, the two skooma and the soul gems (except the 60,000 gold grand soul gem and the 100 gp petty rat, they'll come in handy later) , I turn to the transporter and she sends me to Vivec.

Once there I run to Janand Maulinie, bribe her up to 100, and barter up her scrolls of Invisibility 'til I wind up with 8, and buy 2 scrolls of Lliros' Glowing Eye. Then I get her to enchant the steel wakizashi with the soultrap spell; cast on strike, on touch (so it can't reflect back on me), for 20 seconds. Then she enchants Pemenie's shirt for me with 1 point of levitate cast on self for 20 seconds. The wakizashi gets a 20 charge with the 200 gold petty soul gem and the shirt gets a 30 charge from the 300 gold PSG. She's got almost 5000 of my gold now so I sell her the rest of the soul gems I have (except the 2 petty soul gems); I ask for all the gold and she gives it up. Not a bad job of salemanship if I do say so myself. I'm leaving with the gear I'm wearing that has two new enchanted pieces now, 22 scrolls (8 Invisibility, 2 Lliros, 4 Intervention, and 8 Ondusi), the 10 cheap potions Ajira gave me, the 3 empty lesser and 2 empty petty souls gems, 12 jugs of sujamma, 6371 in gold, my wit and main... oh and the Fiend Katana and 2 bottles of skooma which I am on my way to sell right now. It's now 4AM.

I go out into the plaza, turn left and run to the eastern exit, go out and use the shirt to levitate due east, past the dwemer ruins to the mudcrab where I sell him the Katana and skooma for a cool ten grand and then use an AI scroll to go to Molag Mar. From the temple there I use the shirt to fly south to Tel Branora and go to the upper tower entrance and to Therana's chamber. There I fly up past Felen Maryon and land behind his bookshelves and commence to steal all the stuff on the shelves. Apparently he can't see me or doesn't care and I run out from behind them and go bribe him up to 100.

I heard about a spell, rumor has it a Telvanni Mage Lord discovered, and I buy the last ingredient for it from Felen, Summon Golden Saint. I can't possibly cast the spell, it takes 165 magicka to do it. It costs me 1117 gold to buy it, but I'll never have to cast it and it'll be well worth the price. I then have him make a little spell for me, I'll call it "Horn of Valkyries", it'll be mysticism school. Maryon combines the spell Summon Golden Saint, "on self" with no time specified, with the soul trap spell, "on target" with no time specified as well. "What good is that!" you say? "A spell that dies as soon as you cast it?" you say. Well, not if you know the secret. If you look straight down and cast the spell and wait for it to finish, when you look up there will be a Golden Saint standing there that will follow you everywhere you go, as if under the command humanoid (or is it creature) spell. And she will fight for you forever until she dies, she won't unsummon. AND when she does die her body will lie there until you bury her, so you can get her weaons at your leisure. "Cooool Spell!" you say. I agree. Maryon charges me 74 gold for it. I use the last AI scroll and go back to Molag Mar.

From there I levitate true east to the Savel tomb, go down the ramp and use an Ondusi scroll on the door. It's trapped and I'm gonna get hit with something when I spring it, so I need 13 magicka to cast Hearth Heal when it does, I have 14 magicka now. I go inside (Hearth Heal works), and get a bonemold longbow and the skillbook "Unnamed Book" then drink a sujamma to get my magicka back as I leave. Levitating about 2 or 3 degrees north of due east away from the tomb I see a statue on the mountain, it's a vision of my Lady Azura. It stands just above her shrine (I was here in my dreams before I came to Vvardenfell) and she has been calling to me to come to see her here. When I get inside and bow before her she tells me a tale of deceit and corruption. She has made a bet with Sheogorad and he is cheating, sort of, and she wants me to go straighten things out. So I have my first real mission and am off to "an island north of Dagon Fell". The sujamma has worn off and I cast Mark and then use a DI scroll to Sadrith Mora. It's 7AM.

When I get there I run to Dirty Muriels and buy 3 iron arrows from the orc merchant downstairs and then go upstairs to see Erer Darothril. I bribe him up to 100 and buy the spell "Scourge Blade", a drain long blade and short blade skills spell. It costs me 547 gold, bribes and all, but it will save me many hundreds of times that later on. I will get Janand to use it in enchanting ten expensive amulets that I will use just before I engage a trainer for my major and minor skills training. All 10 will be enchanted with "Drain [major/minor skill] 100 points for 2 seconds on self". All 10 will be charged with 10 points, rat or scrib souls will do, and when I'm with the trainer for a given skill, I will use it's amulet before I engage the trainer in conversation. He/she will think my skill in the session I'm about to train in is 0 and charge me only 1 gold for the session! After the session I will be informed my skill has increased to 0 (?), but really it will have gone up 1 point like it's supposed to. Also, 2 hours will have passed and the amulet will be recharged and ready to use again. These ten will be my "trainer" amulets. Neat, huh?

Moving along, I leave Felen's Ebony Staff on the short table next to Big Helede (I'll be back for it later) exit Muriel's and run to Nevrila Areloth's House to get the skillbook "Charwich-Koniinge, Volume 4", then to Tel Naga Great Hall for the skillbook "The Horror of Castle Xyr". Since I'm already here I snatch an empty Grand Soul Gem so's I can make a little souvenir, I have an idea I think will please my Lady.

From there I run (as long as there's land) and levitate to Tel Aruhn to the enchanter, Maren Uvaren, bribe her up to 100 and buy the skillbook "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 19" and 2 petty soul gems, then sell her the other soul gems I had; 1 greater, 1 common and two lessers, some books, the bonebiter amulet, belt of free action and the robes and left with 200 of her gold. Then I go to Ferele Athram the trader, bribe him up to 100 and buy the skillbook "The Axe Man", one ugly yellow expensive amulet and 2 petty soul gems, and then sell him the rest of the stuff I stole from Maryon and walk away breaking even.

From there I run/levitate north, northeast to the Baram Ancestral Tomb to get the skillbook, "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 16". From there I levitate then run northwest to the mountains, taking sujamma along the way to run faster (and picking up 2 rat souls along the way), until the northern coast and then west along the coast until I see some daedric ruins on my left, athletics pops along the way. I then levitate across the sound to the cave Ainab to get the skillbook "Bone, Part 1". Inside it's very dark and there's sleepers and ghouls all over the place so I use a scroll of Lliro's Glowing Eye, go inside and use an invisibility scroll, run down a spiral passage and across some water until I get to a door. Bright as day in here now, I get ready to use another invisibility scroll and enter the chamber. I go in, use the scroll, and run to an apse on the right that has a big stone trough and in it is the book and some other items. I ready another scroll and take the stuff, use the scroll and head back out, readying another scroll when I get to the door. I go through and use the fourth scroll and leave the cave. Too easy.

From Ainab I levitate over the island north and across the sound until I'm almost to Rotheran when the shirt's spell runs out. I run across the mountains past Rotheran and come in from the north because I need to run so I can get athletics to pop again. Also I don't want to do any jumping, making acrobatics pop. I'm saving that strength multiplier for later.

Now to do what I came to Rotheran for: there's a domed room on top and inside there's a bad guy I can't fight that has a propylon index I need, so I conjure up a golden saint and she follows me inside. She makes quick work of him and I get the index and leave the loot I've gathered that I won't be needing until I can get back here in a crate. When I leave it's 11AM, and am 'towing' a golden saint.

I go north and take the path west, outrunning the saint (she gives up). Then I take the second path to the north and then one more fork to the right and I'm at Dagon Fell at noon. I talk to Mette about any rumors and she says everybody's talking about Solstheim. I ask her about that, then I ask again about any rumors. She tells me there's supposed to be a legedary helm at Onissiralis, a daedric ruin, and that the Norvayne brothers have gone to check it out. It's near Vas. So I take off west, north-west, levitating underwater to lose the cliff racers when needed.

"...an island NORTH of Dagon Fell." Well it was my Lady speaking and it was north, latitudinally. I get to the island in question and on a ridge to the south of a cabin I can see Staada, Sheogorath's golden saint minion, standing guard. It's 1PM now and I conjure 2 of my own saints, one has an ebony shield and the other an orcish towershield. I shoot off my 3 arrows at Staada and she comes a runnin' for me. My girls rush to defend me while I drink a sujamma to get back my magicka, invoke the shirt and equip my new soutrapper wakizashi. My girls are kicking butt, one has a glass longsword and the other an ebony shortsword. Meanwhile I fly over top and come down behind Staada and whack her with my weapon, enshrouding her in the soultrap mist. She soon goes down, I get told I have captured a soul (it went in the Grand SG I stole back in Tel Naga), and I go down to find a glass dagger worth 4,000, a steel shield that I drop, her daedra heart and Sheogorath's Signet Ring. This is the proof Azura is looking for. I invoke an invisibility scroll and head into the pass and my girls follow but there's too many daedra for them. They get a daedroth and two hungers but the fire and storm atronacks and ogrim titan finish them off, but hey, I get their weapons! The ebony shield bumps my 12 points of protection up to 16 (it's worth 17,000), the orcish is worth 2,000 and the weapons are worth 30,000 gp. Nice haul!

I invoke the shirt and head to Vas where I notice a shipwreck and go inside the deck cabin. Inside I find an Imperial Bedding invoice that I take and ready an invisibility scroll because the cliff racers are waiting for me outside. I resume the trip to Onissiralis and sho 'nuff the brothers are there. They get into a fistfight about family honor and the victor gives me a key for the chest that has the legendary helm in it, inside the shrine. I go in and am attacked but levitate up high and fly on down to the chest behind Sheogorad's statue and get the Adamantium Helm of Tohan, then use the recall amulet and am soon receiving my reward from Azura for getting Staada and the signet ring.

It's Azura's Star! A permanent, limitless soul gem that doesn't disappear when you or an enchanter uses the soul in it. You can recharge an enchanted item, or make one, and the star simply empty's out, ready to receive another. This is gonna save me a lot of time and money.

I use the last DI scroll to Sadrith Mora and once inside the imperial shrine I go see Aunius Autrius. After bribing him up to 100 I buy the spells "Divine Intervention" and "Absorb Health". I hear Azura whispering "Netch Leather" so I buy a piece, then turn around and take MT to Balmora. I grab all my stuff I left on the platter making me too heavy but I drink a sujamma, then run to the Fighter's Guild next door and sign up with Eydis, she gives me a mission to go kill rats but I run downstairs to the barracks and set up my bed next to the crate in the north-east corner. I put everything away except the alchemy ingredients, making a shelf out of the platter and stashing the skillbooks (14 now) on the bottom bunk, I drop off all the souvenirs from my journeys. It's 3PM.

I go buy a steel cuirass from Wayn and get him to hammer up all the armor and weapons, then sell him the orcish cuirass and get back all my gold plus his 2000. He doesn't pay full MSRP even with his disposition at 100, but I don't think I'm going to be running out of armor and weapons to sell. Besides, it's another 12 hours before I can get full price from the mudcrab and creeper and I do need large sums of gold as soon as I can get it. Now what was that Eydis said about rats?

I run outside, turn left, then left again and straight across the nearest bridge to get to Drarayne Thelas' house. She's the contractor for the rat job, gives me a key. I go wax the rats and after I get the 2 upstairs, Azura says, "Leave with 5 pieces of marshmerrow and rat meat."... How?... Where?... Wait... I look in the chest next to me and there's 7 marshmerrow and 3 rat meat, amazing! I just got 2 pieces of meat from the cave rats, so I can do my Lady's bidding after all. I get back to Drarayne and she gives me 100 gp for the job, then she notices the invoice for the pillows I found in that shipwreck and gives me an extra-comfy pillow for the invoice. Cool.

I then go to Caius' house to get my first mission for the emperor, athletics pops again before I get there. I give him the package I was supposed to deliver and he tells me about all the guilds, great houses and factions here, gives me a book, lists all the blades trainers (Our little spy organization is called "The Blades", sounds ominous.) and tells me I should go do some freelance work, you know, get some experience under my belt before I come back and try to run with the big guars. I ask him for my orders anyway (who does he think I am?), and he sends me to go do a favor for a man in the fighter's guild in exchange for information he has. The book Caius gave me makes me heavy so I drink a sujamma.

I leave and go straight to the Hlaalu Council Manor and see Nileno Dorvayne to join House Hlaalu. She says I sound just like somebody she knows and wants me to try and fool a redoran honcho into giving us some documents by wearing one of their helmets and pretending to be him, I agree to do it. In asking her about the house's councillers she mentions a guy, Crassuis Curio, says he has weaknesses and can be manipulated. Well, that's good news... I guess.

I leave there and run take MT to Ald'ruhn. First I go see Orrent Geontene and buy the spells "Telekinesis" and "Night-Eye" (they're cheap and not worth bribing him any) and then Heem-La in the next room (I do bribe him some) and buy "Distraction". Then I leave the guild to see a trader first that has a skillbook I'm looking for. Tiras Sadus is his name and he wants to know if I'm willing to do some work for him. My guess is if I do his disposition might go up and he might sell me the book I want cheaper, so I agree and he sends me to go collect a debt from Ienas Sarandus. I run to the guys house, drinking another sujamma along the way, and steal his copy of Saryonis' Sermons and read a passage from it to him. He gets the spirit of conviction and coughs up all the goods he owes money on, turns out he's got debts all over town! I go to the pawnbroker Daynes Redothril, he has work, the same kind of work Sadas asked me to do. He gives me 50 for the ebony and glass rings I got from Sarandus and I sell him some potions and stuff getting all of his gold. From there I go a little past Sadus' shop to Bevene Releth's little clothing store. She has work too, gives me 25 gold for her Firejade amulet. I buy an ugly expensive amulet from her.

I don the helmet Nileno gave me and go "under skar" to masquerade for Neminda, she gives me some orders that I will take back to Nileno. Then I go see the enchanter Llether Vari and he wants me to get the Designer Shoes from Sarandus that I already have. His disposition goes way up and I get to buy the skillbook * "The Buying Game" * and a bunch of his other books and unenchanted items for 40% off, then I sell him the fiend tanto I got from Ra'jirr and get all my money back plus his 2000 gold. I then go back outside to the clothier Bivale Teneran and she has work... you guessed it, she takes the brocade shirt and silk pants and gives me 50 gold, half of which I spend to buy one of those ugly expensive amulets. I then go outside, back to the trader Sadas, give him his belt, his disposition does go way up, and I get the skillbook "The Wolf Queen, Book IV" for 30% off. I then sell him the stuff I bought from Vari, the stupid helmet I used as a disguise and all the other stuff I don't need and get all my gold back plus all his gold. I've gained a point in reputation for all this.

I go take MT back to Balmora and buy 3 Almsivi and 2 Divine scrolls from Galbedir and sell her the 2 invisibilty scrolls and 2 of the Ondusi scrolls (I have 4 left) and get back my gold plus 150 of hers, then go to the FG and tell Eydis I did the rat job. She gives me another job to go sanction some egg poachers then promotes me to apprentice, wonderful. Then I go to see the informant Caius wanted me to do a favor for. His name is Hasphat Antabolis and he wants me to go to an old dwemer ruin and get a puzzle box. I use a DI scroll to get to Moonmoth, fly north-east from there to get to Arkingthand, the place where the puzzle box is, and go inside. I fly into the Cells of Hollow Hand and grab the box while a guy starts pounding on me! I try to leave and heavy armor pops but I manage to get out of there. Once out of the room I use an AI scroll. (I'm not wasting any time fighting right now, got a tight schedule to keep.)

Of course AI takes me to the temple in Balmora and Azura tells me to buy 5 each muck, scrib jelly, and willow anther from Llathyno Hlaalu inside. I do and while I'm there I buy the spell "Wisdom" from Llarara Omayn, then run back to the FG and give Hasphat the box. He gives me some notes for Caius and a letter to give a researcher at another dwemer site, in case I should run into him. I hear Azura whispering, "The skull, the skull." so I stop by my room and take it with me.

I go give Caius the notes and now he wants me to go see the orc Sharn gra-Muzgob at the mages guild so I run over there. I started to say something to the guards when I saw this orc the first time, she has the look of a necromancer to me and I had noticed a faint smell of death... gravedust, dirt. Anyway she wants me to go on a little errand, fetch something for her, you'll never guess what. That skull that Azura had me go get yesterday. I guessed then that the book was an obvious boon, had supposed it to be the only copy since she sent me so far to get it, but now I see my Lady's wisdom. This errand for Sharn would have set me back many hours to go get. Makes me wonder about the dagger now. But I digress, I give her the skull and she coughs up some more notes for Caius, all the while insisting she's NOT a necromancer. (?)

I then take MT to Vivec to get some trainer amulets made. Janand enchants six of those ugly amulets (I have 8 now) with: "Drain Heavy Armor 100 points on self for 2 secs" and the other 5 with the same specifications for Short Blade, Enchant, Restoration, Blunt Weapon and Light Armor. In between every two I barter with her to get back my money by buying up some of the soul gems I sold her earlier today and then selling her the ebony and orcish shields, wearing her down each time to get back from her all the gold I just spent on enchantments. I wind up leaving with all the armor and weapons I came with and have more than 19,000 gold now.

I then fly to the Hlaalu canton waistworks and go see Edryno Arethi for business. She sends me to the vaults to give Baren Alen some sealed orders and when I talk to him I see he has the Rethan Manor land deed so I bribe him up and buy it for a discount. On the way back I use the wrong door out and wind up in records. I was about to turn around but I hear Azura say, "Get the Ascadian Land Deeds". There's a chest on the shelf with that label, a girl is standing right there, but I know a secret. I use the shirt and levitate high up over the chest, open it and get the deeds and she can't see me take them, guess she thinks I've gone upstairs. [Author's note: Never put these land deeds down or remove them from your inventory unless putting them in a container. If you do they will be lost, they change into treasury orders, and an important quest will be broken.]

I return to Edryno and then she wants me to collect a debt but I pay it myself, kwama feed. I'm done here and as I'm leaving Azura tells me to get Aurane Frernis' recipies and 5 cyrodillic brandy from the bartender in the Black Shalk, both at the foreign quarter lower waistworks so I do that. Then I go back to the MG and take MT to Balmora to go see Nileno. She takes the docs I got for her then asks me to go fetch, now get this, Aurane Frernis' recipies! I show her I already have them and she makes copies, then promotes me 3 times to lawman. Next she wants me to kill a house rival's kwama queen, poor thing, but I've got more pressing business right now. I run straight back to take MT to Vivec to go see this Crassius Curio. When I get there, right off the bat he wants me to get naked, every stitch, even the boots! Says he needs to see what he has to work with. I think the guy is queer, but there's no alternative, "As long as there's no kissing!". I comply and he immediately promotes me to kinsman. Business-wise he wants me to see Odral Helvi in Caldera and see what he wants, but to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. I put my clothes back on (let's not forget the spell for the boots) and then levitate up to the ceiling and steal the skillbook "Lord Jornibret's Last Dance" from him, suits him right for making me suffer the indignity.

I go back to the HCM in Balmora to see Dondos Driler about building me a stronghold, he tells me to get a construction contract from the duke and a land deed from Baren Alen back at the vaults. It's 9PM and I really need to get construction started by midnight, so I go back to Vivec and am about to use a DI scroll to go to Ebonheart and Azura stops me and says to get 5 corkbulb root from Craetia Julillian there. I do, then use the scroll to go to the Imperial Cult temple in Ebonheart. Azura tells me to go inside and join the cult (?) so I do and get a mission to go look for a bowl! That's it? That's what Azura wants me to do? Then I see a door on the other side of the room. Curious, I go in and down the stairs and talk to two guys that give me missions to do for the temple. You're not going to beleive this: One guy wants me to go on a quest to find 5 pieces of marshmerrow, then, in order I'm supposed to quest for muck, willow anther, scrib jelly, corkbulb root, rat meat, and netch leather, all of which Azura has made sure I have on hand! For all these he advances me to Disciple and rewards me with the skillbooks "The Four Suitors of Benitah", "Charwich-Koniinge, Volume 1" and "The Wraith's Wedding Dowry" (which I already have). Also he teaches me the "Swimmer's Blessing" spell and gives me a bunch of other rewards, too much to carry! I then turn to the other guy and he sends me out to collect money, which I pay myself 3 times, then he wants the shirt Azura had me get from Falanaamo, then he wants the brandy I got at the Black Shalk, then 2 more donations which I pay. He gives me a bunch more items including the skillbooks "A Dance in the Fire, Chapter 7" and "The Buying Game" (another book I already have). After both of these guys are done with me I'm 19 lbs. overweight, but I guess it's worth it. I hit the orcs belt for the strength I need and go see Lalatia Varian before I leave. She sends me to go find a ring.

I go see the duke and tell him I'll be a good boy. He gives me the contract and I use an AI scroll and that takes me to Vivec where I run back and take MT to Balmora to go give Driler the documents. He gives the orders to start construction, it's day 2, 11PM, not bad.

The Journal of Ladamyre, Part 2

Day 3 - Gathering the Last of the "Ingredients"

I go sell the alchemist Nalcarya the apparatus I got on those IC quests, Azura says to get a diamond while I'm there. Then I go to my room and put up the books I'll be reading later. I was just about to go get those egg poachers for Eydis and I hear Azura say, "Go to the cave across the river first." so I run south, cross the river, turning about 10 degrees south from my heading off the bridge and see a cave door and go inside. It's the Vassir-Didanat cave, an old abandoned ebony mine, I think I heard it got invaded by some atronachs! That's why it's "lost", no place for me to be so I turn right around and leave, my Lady just said to go there and that's what I've done. The egg mine Eydis wants me to rid of thieves is back across the river so I go there, use that last Lliros scroll and go in to fulfill the sanction. They go down fast to my bound dagger, short blade pops again. I leave there and go to Hla Oad.

Once there I go to Murudius Flaeus' house and steal the skillbook "Charwich-Koniinge, Volume 2" right out from under his nose and then go on south to the ship Grytewake and get the skillbook "Bone, Part Two" from the deck cabin, right in front of the guy there, he doesn't seem to mind. I cast AI to the temple in Balmora. It's 1AM.

Day 3 and I haven't even leved up once, I gotta get going on this soon! I am about to go use this heavy armor trainer I just got but Azura tells me to go visit Ralen Hlaalo, then go to the Nerano Manor and get Ondres' clothes, then to go see the clothier Millie Hastien and "...finish gathering...", then to go to the haunted manor at the St. Olms canton in Vivec! Well, that's a long laundry list but she hasn't let me down yet so I go to the balcony of Ralen's house so I won't be seen using a scroll on the lock, go downstairs and find Ralen's body lying on the floor, murdered! Well he won't be needing these extravagant clothes and sappire amulet... and what's that? Looks like greef but I smell Vintage Brandy, worth 500gp so I get it too. Back up stairs I find his maid who gives me a description of the murderer. Say! Is that the skillbook "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 22"? Mind if I take it? "Swit" you say? Geshundheit.

It's just across the street to the Nerano Manor and I go right in the front door. This guy's rich he must have some good stuff. I go upstairs and pop the lock on the bedroom door, go in and find an exquisite belt, robe, shirt and pants, as well as extravagant shirt and pants in the chest of drawers. Jackpot! How about that closet? Pop... it's full of extravagant clothes. I have one Ondusi scroll left, that small chest has a trap on it so I'll save it for later. I then run to the clothier Millie Hastien, I guess she'll have the rest of the stuff I need. And I can sell these clothes to her too. I set a time portal outside her shop because she has random items she stocks.

Millie's a tough customer, it takes 50 gp to get her disposition up to 100 and even then she's not giving me much of a discount. But she does have some of the stuff I need; I get 2 more of those amulets I'm using for the trainers (I have all I need now) and one of the red ones, one each extravagant ruby and sapphire amulets and an exquisite amulet and ring that I pay her 600gp for, then I sell her the rest of the clothing items I don't need (all of the common, expensive and extravagant clothes and the exquisite robe) and get all of my gold back plus 200 of hers. I'm off to Vivec.

I drop off the books and the clothing and empty amulets on the table next to Janand for her to keep an eye on for me, sell her some scrolls I have and get a scroll of Almsivi Intervention to go with the Divine one I have, I get all her gold. Then I run from the Foreign Quarter plaza to St Olms plaza and into the haunted manor. I go down a ramp and pop the lock with my last Ondusi scroll, go in and find another door with Dram Bero behind it. He has a Vassir-Didanat topic he wants to talk about, I tell him where it is, and he rewards me with a Daedric Wakizashi! OUTSTANDING! Thank you Azura. I've been waiting for a short blade worthy of an enchantment I had in mind since I bought that absorb health spell yesterday, and here I am in posession of the best "vanilla" short blade there is. With an absorb health enchantment on it, it will suck the lifeforce out of my foe and give it to me! Ooo, I gotta get this thing enchanted as soon as possible. You know, Azura has been right on program every time. I think I'll never doubt her again.

Now, the charge on this sword is gonna be critical. I need it to be as much as possible and the best I have is back at the homestead, I have a winged twilight soul with 300 charge, I think I'll go get it. I head towards the MG to go back to Balmora but Azura tells me to go to the mudcrab and make my mark. Dammit! I need to get this sword enchanted NOW! I only have 55 hit points, and with it sucking the life out of my enemies I could.... uh.... oh.... yes ma'am. I'm sorry.

I run down the ramps and over to the Telvanni canton, athletics pops (that's 5 speed mulitpliers now) and east across the peninsula, then fly on over to the mudcrab and cast Mark. It's 4AM and the mudcrab has money so I trade him the glass longsword, orcish towershield and 2 skooma for the Fiend Katana that I sold him yesterday and 10,000 gold. Now what?

Wait a minute, lemme check my map, yes. Yeeesss! I just had a great idea. I'll go southeast from here to the cave Ashirbadon where there's two books I need, and when I get done I can use the recall amulet to come back here, then I can cast AI to Molag Mar, DI to Sadrith Mora and take MT to Caldera to trade with the Creeper. So I go there and inside there's a frost atronach trying to kill me with a frost spell which I'm immune to. I just pass him by and come to a ledge overhanging a pool. Using the shirt I fly across the pool to a little shrine of sorts that a dremora has set up, skulls, candles, a chest. I fly over him and over the chest and open it (it's not locked) and find a key and some potions. Leaving with the key I find a second ledge with a door, go inside and see another frost atronach doing his thing too. I have an idea, a good idea. I look down and conjure up a golden saint and she runs off to do battle. It doesn't take her long, I didn't expect it to be much of a fight. Further along the passage there's a locked and trapped door, this must be the one the key is for. It is and on the other side is a storm atronach and a witch. She yells, "Now you die!" and comes a runnin'. I'm keeping back and my girl is with me while the witch stands on the other side casting poison sells that are hitting the door jamb instead of us. When she's finished she comes bounding through and my girl makes quick work of her. I could see she had a poison dagger from the green clouds when she did hit my girl. It's Vendamea Drethan and I find a dire viperblade and the Warlocks Ring, worth 22,000 gp, on her when my girl finishes her off. Now for that atronach. He can't get through the door so I go up and take a swing at him, then my girl goes for it. Dicey but she gets him. I go to the witches crib for those books and anything else I can lay my hands on. The skillbooks are "A Game at Dinner" and "Response to Bero's Speech" and I get some potions and a couple of scrolls there, then I go back to the pool where the dremora has been swimming, like he was gonna swim up the ledge to get to me. I fly out over the pool and my girl jumps down in. Then I come down behind her and whack her with my soultrapper, just like I did Staada. He gets her and I get her soul in Azura's Star! 400 charge! THAT's why Azura sent me to the mudcrab. I get my girl's weapons, she had a daedric katana and an orcish towershield. I drink my last sujamma and recall back to the mudcrab. It's 6AM.

This will be my "trade route" now: Every day at 6AM I will recall to here, sell 10k's worth, then AI, DI, and take MT to Caldera to sell 5k's worth to the Creeper. So I finish the sales trip (make that time 7AM because that's when I leave the Creeper), then stop off at Odral's and he gives me some suspicious documents to deliver right out of the chute! Crassius will want to know about this alright. I then use the last AI scroll to go to Balmora 15,000 gp richer.

I go buy an Almisivi scroll from Galbedir, trading her the scrolls I had getting back my gold plus 500 of hers; I've decided to get Janand to make the wakizashi into an awesome weapon now. BTW, I'm not using Galbedir to enchant for me because I've stolen a bunch of soul gems from her and it won't matter for some reason if it's the actual gem I stole, or one that's like it, she'll think it's one I stole, I'll hear "Now you die!" and everybody in the mages guild here will attack me. I take MT to Vivec.

Since I'm here I may as well get Janand to enchant a bunch of stuff I'm gonna need, not just do the sword. But first, Janand makes the daedric wakizashi into "Fang of the Vampire". Cast on strike like the soultrapper, she enchants it to "Absorb Health 34 points on touch" using the golden saint soul I have in Azura's Star, 400 charge. BADA$$. Now I can start making some real time savers. I can conjure a golden saint, whack her once with the soultrapper, and finish her off with this awesome wakizashi that sucks 34 points of lifeforce out of it's victim and gives it to me every time it hits. I'll then capture her soul for another enchantment. AND being golden saint souls I can use them to make constant effect items. Coool. My technique for this is to set up my weapon/item/spell quickslots with "Fang" in slot 1 and the soultrapper in slot 2. I start in on the quarry with the soultrapper and as soon as the enchantment hits I just hit the 1 key and "Fang" equips in mid swing.

Next I need to fix my problem with magicka so I can conjure up all these saints. I bought the spell for that from Heem-La, Distraction. After I get the star charged up (short blade pops during the battle) Janand enchants one of the red expensive amulets with "Drain Intelligence 100 points on self" and "Drain Intelligence 1 point on self". No, that's not a typo, and yes, they'll stack. That means that unless I'm under the influence of a potion or spell that has boosted my intelligence above 100, it will always lower my intelligence below 0. And since no time element is involved it will act instantly, and if you haven't figured it out yet, as soon as my intelligence returns my magicka will be fully restored, in this case, INSTANTLY! Am I good or what? Since it looks like the firejade I returned on that quest in Ald'ruhn I call it "Firejade of Infinite Magicka", with a 400 charge I can't see me ever draining it empty.

Next she enchants the white and red expensive amulets with the two intervention spells, I know with 400 charge these will never run dry. Next item is the "Spelunker's Brocade Shirt". Made from the exquisite shirt, it has 5 points of night-eye, 1 point of slowfall which is all I ever need for a feather light touch on the ground no matter how far I fall (Tarhiel could have used this), and waterbreathing so I never have to worry about drowning by swimming too far into that unknown underground stream. And now for the perfect accessories, "Spelunker's Pauldrons"! Oh, that's right I need to buy the right kind. I go across the plaza to Alusaron the smith and buy left and right Imperial Chain Pauldrons and bring them back. They each get 7 points of night-eye, constant effect of course. Did it ever get bright in here all a sudden! 19 points of night-eye will make even the darkest of caves easily navigable now. Fang got drained after the first pauldron so I had to use the star to recharge it, and short blade popped again on the last saint, so I have 7 speed mulitpliers now.

I'm just about finished, one more item. Janand makes the "Strongman's Silk Pants", made from the exquisite pair I "found" at Nerano's and they have 12 points of fortify strength constant effect. I wax one more saint to put in the star and heavy armor pops. I think I will go train some and level up now. It's 10AM, but first I go tell Crassius what Odral is up to, he takes the suspicious documents from me and tells me to keep up the good work. Did he pat me on my butt as I turned to leave?

I take MT to Balmora and train 3 short blade with Todwendy, then I go to the FG and train 7 heavy armor with Wayn. Since I have two of it, one from the puzzle box mission and one from fighting golden saints, I only need one more but I stop at 7 because it's day 4, 6AM and time to go on a sales trip. As I've said before, I need a lot of gold as soon as possible. I get the ebony shortsword that he repaired earlier from my room and use the recall amulet to go to the mudcrab and sell it to him, use the last of the intervention scrolls and take MT from Sadrith Mora to Caldera and go see Odral and tell him I done good. He sends me out to find some docs. Still 6AM so I go to Elmussa Damoris house and bribe her up to 80, she coughs up a key to a chest there that has them. I take the papers back to Odral and lie about where I found them, then he sends me to put some false land deeds in the little chest I got those Ascadian land deeds out of 2 days ago. Crassius will want to know about this. I go to the Creeper and 7AM ticks off just as I get there, I sell him 5K's worth and use the "Amulet of the Almsivi" to go back to Balmora for one more HA with Wayn, who hammers up my stuff for me.

I then go to my bed downstairs to rest and level up. As I'm allocating my attribute multipliers I see a man in black padded armor (it looks like a fremen stillsuit), seemingly trapped between the slats of the upper and lower bunks. After I exit the screen he calls me the N-word and attacks me, but apparently can't move so I make quick work of him with my new wakizashi. His armor has laundry marks indicating he's a member of the Dark Brotherhood! That's just great... all I need now is a death contract on me from some rich guy in Mournhold (that's where they're based). Anyways I get +5's in speed and endurance. I have one level up "in the bag" so to speak. It's day 4, 10AM and I head back to Janand with almost 47,000 gp for more "enchanting" conversation.

[Authors note: The +1 in luck is a given. As I said in the foreword, every level up has to use one slot for luck, so from here on I will only mention the two slots I trained for. We know the routine with leveling up right? He stands in the little corner that the crate next to the bed makes with the wall there, looks at the foot of the top bunk, and "rests" for 1 hour. Having the Tibunal expansion installed randomly makes a leveled Dark Brotherhood assassin show up. When he does, often he will wind up standing either on the top or lower bunk but will fall to the floor and be unable to defend himself, hence the position the PC stands in.]

Days 4 & 5 - The Ensemble of Armor, Clothing and Weapons

I have made something that makes it difficult to use Pemenie's old shirt that I've been using for flying. Don't worry. I've been saving something for just that function, and it will do something extra that will end the need for a "restore health on self" anything forever. Janand enchants the ebony staff I got from one of the saints with 3 points of night-eye, 1 point of levitate and 2 points of restore health constant effect. When equipped, I will be able to fly anywhere and it will restore 2 points of health every second! I call it the "Staff of Eagles", it will occupy quickslot 3.

Next Janand makes the exquisite belt I have into the "Strongmans Suede Belt" with 8 points of fortify strength, constant effect. Last two for now: Janand makes the "Ruby of the Master Thief" out of the extravagant ruby amulet, Open 100 points on touch; and the "Sapphire of the Telekinetic" from the sapphire amulet, telekinesis 100 points on self for 12 seconds. These two will occupy quickslots 4 & 5. For some reason the "on touch" designation is the only way the open spell will work on an enchanted item, but in spite of that it will work at a distance when telekinesis on self is in effect. How about that! Enchant popped on that first saint I used to make the pants and medium armor popped on the the last one. Short blade is at 95% so I better stop, the next level up is going to be endurance and willpower now. I change my quickslots to cast the spells recall, almsivi and divine intervention; I will cast those until mysticism pops again for the next level up.

[Author's note: Make note of the order of the enchanments on the items with multiple enchantments. It doesn't affect the prices but the items can't take these amounts of enchantment if the order is different. For some reason the "space" in the item that the first enchantment takes up, doubles when a second enchanment is added. So notice these double and triple enchanted items have the "cheapest" enchantments listed first.]

I pick up all my stuff except one daedric towershield that I leave on Janands' desk, and go show Crassius the false deeds Odral gave me. He says to get copies from Baram, or get the originals, doesn't matter to him. Heh, I didn't tell him I already have them, but he gives me an amulet with a double domination spell on it that has a huge charge. I cast recall to drop off some heavy stuff with the mudcrab, reset my mark since he's moved, then AI, DI, and MT to Caldera. I give Odral the Ascadian Land Deeds and he sends me to collect taxes, I just pay them myself. Then he asks me to deliver some raw ebony for him! NOW we've got him. The ebony trade is strictly monitored and licenced and this is a clear violation of the law. Lessee... here, in the next room, there's a locked chest with a trap on it. No problem, I just stand back and use my telekinesis amulet, then the ruby, then spring the trap, no effect on me! Hmmm, he has his own, family heirloom style, gold leaf embossed set of "History of the Empire, Volumes 1 -4". Well he won't be needing these in prison, he'd just sell 'em for drugs. I'm gone, "So long Mr. Helvi, see you when you get out... I mean when I get back." There was a secret ledger in the chest I got too. AI takes me to Balmora.

I go tell Eydis I got her egg poachers and she asks me to go kill some Telvanni agents near Caldera. Hmm... I'll be back there on my next sales trip tomorrow morning and I can take care of them then. I then train 9 H.A. with Wayn, get him to fix all my stuff and go put stuff up in my room before I recall to the mudcrab. It's day 5, 7AM.

I sell 10,000 worth to the mudcrab, then AI, DI, MT to Caldera and go to the Creeper and sell him 5,000 worth. Then I go whack the Telvanni agents for Eydis. Just outside the cave where they're headquartered, I summon up a saint and then tap the guy standing guard. He goes after me and my girl mops up the floor with him. He even said, "Aww, this is too easy." How did he know? I go inside the cave with "Toots" in tow and she finishes off the mob. Then AI takes me to Balmora, I drop off some of the armor and weapons I got from those telvanni and go sell the rest to Ra'jirr.

On the way I talk to somebody about the latest rumors and he mentions something about corruption in city hall and that the champion over at the imperial fort has sworn to end corruption. Then I talk to another guy about a little secret and he says that over at the Moonmoth Fort, Llarius Varo was asking about me, wanted to see me. Maybe I can pick up some freelance work, so I DI to Moonmoth. Varo tells me a story about bad people in Balmora and the Cammona Tong (sounds like Council Club territory to me) and says there'll be a nice present for me if I can get rid of them. He also metions a bandit near Hla Oad, maybe later. I AI to Balmora, ready to go to bat for my hometown. I run to the council club and taunt the first guy into attacking me then run down one flight of stairs and conjure up a saint. He comes down after me and she gets him. Meanwhile I've equipped the stave and am regenerating while I taunt another one of the bad guys there. When she takes off on me two more join in, but me and my girl get them. Then I go down a ramp and find the last one, taunting her and that finishes them all. I pick up some of their stuff and DI to tell Vario the good news. He gives me the "Ring of Surroundings", worth 12,000 and the skillbook "Biography of the Wolf Queen". AI takes me back to Balmora and mysticism pops on the cast.

I run to the MG and train 8 restoration with the anti-necromancer Sharn gra-Muzgob, then return to my room and level up. Another one of those assassins shows up in the same place as the first, I get him the same way I got the first. I get +5's in willpower and endurance and have 1.9 levels in the bag on day 6 at 3AM.

Day 6 - Finishing the Ensemble

On the way out I get Wayn to fix my stuff and then tell Eydis I got those agents in Caldera. She then sends me to the thieves guild here to get a code book from Sotthilde. I run over there, bribe her up to 80 and she hands over the book. I figure, "What the heck." and go over to 'Sugar Lips' Habassi and ask her if I can join the thieves guild and she signs me up on the spot. Well... I see my reputation precedes me. Must have heard about the big job I pulled over in the council club. OK, any jobs? A diamond? Like this one? What next. Wait, how's about a promotion? "Wet Ear! I'm a 'Wet Ear' in the thieves guild? Huh! OK what next? Key to Nerano Manor? You mean this key? Now what am I? A footpad. OK, next. Dwemer artifacts in Hla Oad, I was there a few days ago. Well, I'll be back. I need to go see Caius.

Caius says to go to Vivec and look up 3 informants, an argonian, a khajit and a dunmer that's with the temple. That's good, I was headed there anyways to tell Crassius about Odral's ebony shipment, AND since I'll be near places that I can acquire 30 or so of the skillbooks while I'm gathering information for Caius, it'll be like killing 3 cliff racers with one stone. And then there's the matter of some unfinished business with a certain enchantress I know. I drop by the FG to give Eydis the code book and she sends me to go collect a debt in Suran. I run back to the council club and take the soul of the saint I left in there, not good to leave those things lying around town, there's already one running around loose near Rotheran. I got a glass longsword from her and picked up a lot of the stuff I had left earlier but I had to leave some outside on the stoop. I then run to Dralasa Nithryon's shop and sell her most of the cheap stuff and get her 700 gp, then I take MT to Vivec.

When I get there Janand makes the last ruby amulet I have into the "Ruby of Recall", 400 charge of course (I sold the old one to Nithryon), but I'm not done yet. Janand turns the last sapphire into the "Sapphire of Restorations" (you're gonna be amazed at this) and it has 35 points of restore attribute on self for all 8 of my attributes! Yes, that's right an extravagant sapphire will stack up those 8 spells with no room left to spare. But with a 400 charge I can hit it 3 times in a row and not come close to draining it.

Taking 2 glass longswords and a glass dagger with me, I run on down to the FQ's lower waistworks and go to the Black Shalk to see the first informant, an argonian called Huleeya, just in time too, he was about to get his butt kicked by some racist jerkoff but when I showed up the guy talked like he was indifferent. Huleeya and I go to Jobasha's Rare Books where he gives me notes for Caius. I then go down to buy some skillbooks from Jobasha. I buy "Cherim's Heart of Anequina", "A Dance in the Fire; Volumes 1, 2, & 4", but then I hear Azura whispering in my ear. "Chronicles progress to Vampires." What the...? Wait... Jobasha has "Chronicles of Nchuleft", "The Progress of Truth" and "Vampires of Vvardenfell, vol. II". To = two... I get it! So I buy them... too. (heh, heh) I get 'em all for 900gp because the khajit likes me.

I then run to the fletcher, Alusaron. I buy 50 dread poisonbloom arrows and a bonemold longbow, then sell her one of the glass longswords and get back all my gold plus her 8000. I then leave by the south exit and jump over the rail onto the bridge (the shirt's slowfall works) then run south to St. Delyn, jump over the railing into the water (the shirt's waterbreathing works too) and swim across to an underwater loose grate to the St. Olms underworks. Once inside I soultrap a rat then see Addhanirr. She tells me to get rid of the taxman that's looking for her, so I go tell the guy some story and come back. Addhanir tells me the 6th House are now dealing with smugglers. I get the journal entry I'm looking for and leave out the way I came in.

I go into the Vivec Library to look for the last informant, Mehra Milo and she's there (and very secretive) and gives me the straight poop about the Nerevarine cult and what the temple guys are so afraid of, says she's being watched. Then get this, she tells me there's this rare book the temple guys don't want people to read, The Progress of Truth! Thinks maybe I should go search for one to give Caius to read. NAW! Reeally? Well, I better hop to it and go see if I can find me one! Wish me luck! Mission accomplished, but Azura has some input. She says to pick up the deed to Indrele's house behind Milo there on that bottom shelf, so I grab it. It's 7AM and time to go sell stuff for more gold, I'll have to finish this later. BTW, I have my quickslots set to use the amulets for now but I'm keeping an eye on enchant (75%) as I don't want it to pop before the next level up.

When I finish at the Creeper (I have 88,214 gp now) I decide to forget the "killing 3 cliff racers" thing and just AI to Balmora and give Caius my report. He makes copies of the notes and asks me to go do some freelance work while he "digests" the information, but he must have a fast stomach because I ask him about orders and he sends me to Ald'ruhn to see a traveling salesman for information about ashlanders.(?) I go put up the skillbooks and stuff I'm keeping in my room. I leave with only my weapons and armor, the 'Chronicles' and 'Vampires' books Azura had me get, the exquisite rings and amulet (remember Processus Vitellus' ring is an empty exquisite ring), all the ugly yellow expensive amulets I'm using as trainers except the heavy armor one (I'll never use it again), Azura's Star and the petty rat soul gem I just made at St. Olms. I go take MT to Vivec.

When I get to Vivec I first go into Sirilonwe's closet and use my new amulet on the chest and get the skillbooks "Breathing Water" and "Chimarvamidium". I need Breathing Water for sure, but somehow I can't overcome the urge to take Chimarvamidium too. I know it's a heavy armor book I won't be needing until this journal is over, but what the heck, I'm here, it's free.

I go to Janand and after waxing a saint she makes the Adamantium Helm of Tohan into the "Helm of Spies" by putting 5 points of night-eye and 28 points of chameleon, C.E. on it. Things just got brighter. I get her to make a trainer for athletics for me, then I wax 3 more saints in a row and have Janand enchant the exquisite amulet and rings with 24 points of chameleon, C.E. each. Now with my completed (for now) ensemble I am 100% chameleoned and have 24 points of night-eye (27 when using the staff), waterbreathing, and cannot be hurt from a fall. One more item, I get the last saint for Janand to make the "Bow of Condors" from the bonemold longbow, short blade pops during the battle. She puts 1 point of levitate and 2 points of fortify strength, C.E. on it. With the new arrows' area effect, I don't have to be good at marksman to wear out my enemies with this bow. I'm done with Janand for now, "Fang" is drained and enchant is at 81%. If I try to recharge it enchant will pop, that's why I just made the bow instead. Azura then orders me to get my weapons and armor fixed and sell my cuirass. (?) I go to Alusaron and comply, except I don't get him to fix the cuirass since I'm gonna sell it to him.

I then run/fly to Crassius and tell him about Odrals ebony smuggling. He wants me to deliver the ebony to the Buckmoth big-wig Mantedius and turn in Odral. Azura then says, "Go to Ebonheart, fly south to the Mudan grotto and get the dragon's cuirass. Then come back to the temple." I DI to Ebonheart and fly south, sure enough there's a sunken door there. I go in and find a trapped door, no sweat, the staff is counter-acting the damage from the trap. Inside is a dwemer centurion that I bypass and go pop the lock on a closet there, inside is the "Dragonbone Cuirass". It is constant effect 100% resistant to fire, weighs 20 lbs. more than the steel I was wearing, but is muuuch better armor! I'm at 62 points armor protection now. I also find a "Potion of Heroes", whatever that is, 3 dwemer coins, and one of those big 4lb. dwemer goblets and a dwemer bowl, maybe these are what Sugar Lips is looking for. Now if only I can find a dwemer tube...

As Azura instructed I AI to the temple, don all my chameleon gear and go inside the High Fanes western entrance. I open the door to the room across the way there, sneak behind the guy there and grab 2 books unseen. Then I go across to Saryoni's office door, locked! I equip the stave, fly up to the ceiling and use my ruby to pop the lock on the door and go in. Saryoni's in there and I sneak over by the bookcase and grab 3 more books unseen. I just got the skillbooks "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermons 2, 6, 10, 24 & 28" from the offices of the High Fane and got away scot free.

Outside I go straight to the Hall of Justice. Inside one of the ordinator offices I find a trap door partially hidden under a rug with a 75 point lock on it. No problem, I go inside the Secret Library and find "Galur Rithari's Papers", I noticed it because it looked like the mate to this vampire book I have so I grabbed it. Then I get the skilbooks, "2920, Second Seed" and "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermons 3, 4, 5, 11, 17, 20, 26, 35 & 36". Too easy, this chameleon gear is great!

I run to St.Olms and go in the plaza western entrance to Yngling's place and steal the skillbook, "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 30". Then I run to the temple and get the skillbook "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 27". While I'm there I grab the Marandus propylon index, then run back out the western entrance and go to the Arena waistworks, go in the fighter's training area and steal the skillbook "2920, Evening Star". I go out and find myself right next to the door to the canalworks and go in, take the right side stairs down and into the Arena storage area, past one door, another with a lock and trap on it, the telekinesis and open amulets work perfectly, then a locked trap door and find the headquarters of the Morag Tong. I go see Eno Hlaalu the grandmaster and he puts me on probation and gives me an "Honorable Writ of Execution" and tells me to go kill the condemned man (in the Hlaalu canton somewhere) to test my worthiness to join.

I then run to the Telvanni canton, athletics pops along the way, and into the waistworks. There I get the skillbooks, "The Cake and the Diamond" from the apothecary, and "The Wolf Queen, book III" from the sorcerer. He had some nice greater soul gems I looted as well, but I don't get everything. I'm on a diet, I leave weighing 341 lbs.

I then go to the plaza there and into the Telvanni tower, down the ramp and into the prison cells. I sneak behind the guard just inside and get the skillbooks "Words and Philosophy" and "How Orsinium Passed to the Orcs", also the prison cells key. I go back out, turn right and go straight into the vaults. I go pop the lock on one of the doors, then trip off the trap, using the staff to regenerate, and go in. HEY, this ain't the vaults, it's a storm atronach trap! Two of them! I get their souls in those two greater soul gems I just got, short blade pops again, and go back out the same door I came in. It's locked and trapped again but I repeat what I did to get in. I go in the real vaults and there are two ordinators. I decide to wait an hour and they both go out for lunch!(?) I can't believe my luck. I pick the place clean, don't even leave them a piece of paper to wipe their a.... uh, pick their nose with. I gather up all the loot and use my new ruby of recall to go to the mudcrab.

I trade him some of the undamaged heavy dwemer stuff I found in the vaults for a glass dagger and 2 sujamma, then drop off the rest of the armor and weapons and drink a sujamma. I'm at about 450 lbs, but the sujamma has me able to carry 600, I'll have to hurry. Still using amulets, I AI, DI, take MT to Ald'ruhn and first see Edwina Elbert. She wants my copy of "Chronicles...", sure thing sweetie. Then she wants me to go fetch her a potion from the steward in Sadrith Mora so I cast recall, AI, DI and am there as fast as if I had run back to the guild guide in Ald-ruhn. I get the potion and MT back to Edwina and she wants my copy of "Chimarvamidium". You know you're my only woman, here it is. She promotes me a couple times, then makes me pay some dues and designates me an 'evoker'. She sends me to Mar Gaan to find out about a member, Huleen, who's gone missing. I then run to the bookseller Codius Callonius to buy a gift for the man Caius wants me to see, I have to drink the last sujamma to get there. I buy the book "The Five Far Stars" and run to the Ald Skar Inn to see Hassour Zainsubanni. He takes the book and gives me notes to take to Caius, then lets on about his son and says if I see him to tell him his dad longs for news of his son, supposed to be in the vicinity of the Mamea cave. (That's not good.) I run back to take MT to Balmora, run to the FG and on the stairs the sujamma wears off. It's no biggie, I just take off my new ebony greaves and drop the Daedric towershield there, I'll pick them up on my way out. I put up the books and alchemy stuff, then get my shield and greaves and report to Caius.

I give him the notes, he promotes me and then gives me the real dope. The emperor sent me here because he thinks I might be the Nerevarine, the reincarnation of the legendary Lord Nervar. This is supposed to be the fulfillment of a prophecy and the ashlanders are all immersed in it so Caius wants me to see the Urshilaku tribe and see what they have to say about it. I'm supposed to present myself for inspection. He sends me to Moonmoth for essential supplies and I DI over there and two guys give me some free stuff, potions and scrolls. When I AI back I go back to my room and put up everything except my armor and weapons, all of the special amulets and rings, keeping only the short blade trainer, one common soul gem and 3 petty, and one potion of cure common disease. I leave and go train 3 short blade with Todwendy when I get an entry in my journal to go see Driler about my stronghold. It's midnight, day 7.

Well, I get to the HCM and Driler wants me to go out to the construction site and check on things! Man, I got a schedule to keep, whatever... I run out to the place and see the orc contractor. He says it'll be done on time, just don't forget the bonus Driler promised. I AI back and tell Driler the news. He thanks me, oh boy... It's 1AM now and I'm off to see the Urshilaku. BTW, enchant is at 93% so I change the quickslots to use the spells for now.

I take MT to Ald'ruhn, run to the Rat-in-the-Pot and after going downstairs to get the guild community copy of the skillbook "The Black Arrow, Volume 1", I see the thieves guild steward Aengoth the Jeweler. He wants me to go steal a tanto in the MG there and says he'll take care of the people in there so I can get it easy. Perfect. I go there but there is one guy there (I never saw him before) but being invisible has it's advantages, he can't see me. Just inside the door I get 10 standard restore magicka potions and a scroll of almsivi and divine intervention from the MG supply chest, then I go get the skillbooks, "Withershins" and "2920, Sun's Dawn", I use the ruby to open the chest to get the tanto and Azura tells me to grab one dreugh wax off the shelf there. I go back and give Aengoth the tanto and he sends me to get a helm, later man.

I run to the Morvayn Manor, use the ruby to open the door to the lower level and find it overrun with corprus sufferers, but I get the skillbooks "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 25" and the open version of "Sermon 16", then run back outside to Dandera Selaro the smith. I cast my ondusi spell to open her door to get the skillbook "Last Scabbard of Akrash", then to Aryni Orethis house and cast the spell again to get inside and get the skillbook "Realizations of Acrobacy". I manage to sneak in so, no bounties yet, I'm not doing too bad on the enchant, it's at 94% now. I drink a restore magicka potion to get my magicka back. I head for the western guard towers and go inside #1 and get the skillbook "The Third Door" and then run due west to the Hleran Ancestral Tomb.

I get there and I find it's a vampire enclave, but they can't see me and I grab the skillbook "Trap" and run out heading a little east of due north until I get to the ridge path and follow it to the western side of the mountains where I resume cross country running north staying close to the mountains, picking up the souls of 3 scribs and passing by the daedric ruins of Drucashti until I get to Maelkashishi. I go in the lower entrance and as I fly up to see the statue of Sheogorath, I see an empty grand soul gem I get, then behind it I find the skillbook "A Hypothetical Treachery", one empty common soul gem and a grand soul gem with a bonelord in it worth 20,000. (note: there are lots of other items in many of the places I'm going but I am only getting the ones I say I'm taking. I need the excess carrying capacity for speed's sake). From there I fly up to the Forgotten Galleries and find a daedric longbow, 11 daedric arrows, a scroll, 2 potions and the Falensarano propylon index before I go out the upper entrance.

Once outside I turn to the east and go to Mar Gaan. First I go inside the temple there and sneak the Falasmaryon propylon index, I'm not seen, then outside I turn southeast to Huleen's hut. Inside I find a scamp and I take his soul into a common soul gem, interestingly small for a scamp. I look around and use the key I got off the scamp and find a naked man inside a room downstairs. He is Listien Bierles, Huleen's apprentice (yeah, right) and it turns out he summoned the scamp, lost control of it and locked himself in the room to escape the thing. Huleen's nowhere to be found though, maybe she been eaten.

From there I fly about 15 degrees east of due north until I get to Falasmaryon and go inside the lower level and get the skillbooks "Smuggler's Island" and "The Wolf Queen, Book II". Hey there's an exquisite shirt here and a bottle of Telvanni bug musk I think I'll get, maybe I'll find that girl yet. I go outside and it's 5AM. I drop off most of the stuff I got here, at Ald'ruhn and at Maekashishi including the skillbooks inside the propylon chamber, time to head out for the Urshilaku. I can come back for this stuff later.

My map shows the camp to be northwest of here so I take off flying and just as I'm passing over a cave Azura says, "Go in the cave. Get the books and then the bow from the ghost." so I go in. It's the Urshilaku burial caverns and inside I go to the Laterus chamber and find a wizards staff, glass greaves, the enchanted glass claymore "Magebane", and the skillbook "Silence". Then inside the Fragile chamber I find the skillbooks "Mystery of Talara, Part 4" and "Feyfolken I", I have to use an ondusi spell on an underwater door (can't risk making enchant pop) and suffer a few seconds of paralysis from the trap. I then go to the Juno chamber and find the ghost, the "Wraith of Sul-Senipul" and get his soul in that last common soul gem I have, short blade pops. He drained my agility 17 points, oh well, but he has an enchanted bow, the "Bonebiter Bow of Sul-Senipul". I'm sure this is the bow Azura wanted me to get, so I resume my journey to the Urshilaku. Once I get to astral burial I start running again.

When I get there I follow the custom and meet with Zabamund, Sul-Matul's chief-of-staff as it were, and offer him a "gift" of 200 gp, and he gives me permission to meet with Sul-Matul. Sul-Matul wants me to pass an initiation rite by getting the very bow Azura told me to get and bringing it back to show him I passed the test. "You don't mean this bow? So I'm in, yes?' He seems impressed (names me a clanfriend) and sends me to meet with the wise woman Nibani Maesa. I go ask her if I "pass the test", I guess of being the Nerevarine, and she says I'm not now, but may become the Nervarine. She wants me to fetch her "The Lost Prophecies", then we'll see. I notice she has the Valenvaryon propylon index on the table there but it's not for sale, so I re-equip my gear and sneak behind her and snatch it, she doesn't see me. It's 8AM.

I DI from there and that takes me to Gnisis, just outside the Fort Darius shrine entrance. At 334 lbs., I leave the skillbooks on the stoop to the entrance and go in. I go and get chaplain Ogrul's attention, then go chameleon and swipe the skillbook "2920, First Seed" from behind him undetected. I forge ahead to the barracks for the skillbook "The Locked Room", still no bounty. I run to the Madach Tradehouse and get the skillbook "Death Blow of Abernanit", then turn to Darius and join the Imperial Legion.

Darius gives me a cuirass I have to wear if I'm going to get any missions from him so I put it on and he sends me to go get a land deed from a widow. I run from there to the temple, go inside and donate the cure disease potion I have to the Ashmask of Vivec shrine, which opens up to reveal the real mask, which I activate and get the spell "Vivec's Touch", a cure common and blight disease spell. Then I go swipe the skillbooks, "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermons 21 & 23" sucessfully and run back outside to Arvs-Drelen. Inside I go through a door, turn right and up a short ramp to the left and inside the room there and find the skillbook "The Wolf Queen, Book V" and a key on the table next to the beds. I then go out and run up the long ramp to the summoning room, open the door with the key, run upramp and find the skillbooks "2920, Rains Hand" and "The Dragon Break Reexamined", I also get the Berendas propylon index and 3 jugs of greef.

I run to the widow Darius was talking about and try to convince her to sell but she refuses, says her husband was killed by a legionairre and wants justice. I go over to the fort, drop off the books and fly up to the egg mine. The guard tells me I should talk to Apellus Matius in Ebonheart about those Dark Brotherhood attacks, then gives me a key to the mine. Inside I find a very unfriendly orc, I figure he's the killer so I kill him and I leave his armor because I'm heavy. Further in I find a talkative ghost, it's the husband who was killed and he confirms my suspicion and directs me to his axe to use as proof. I take his soul into the grand SG I have so he can rest in peace and go get the axe, atheltics pops. Upon further exploration I find the entrance to Bethamez. Inside I find a curious book, "Divine Metaphysics", some dwemer airship plans and a dwemer tube! Hot Damn! Now I can give Sugar Lips her dwemer artifacts. Azura tells me to take the back door out through the underground stream and go donate my dreugh wax at the shrine inside Koal cave, says it's south west from the exit. I go do that and then go tell the general the good news. First he takes the axe as proof and tells me to go kill the orc, then he rewards me with a sword for killing the bad guy. Next he sends me back to the egg mine to cure the kwama queen, I have just the thing, the spell I got from the ashmask earlier. I go do that and pick up the orcs armor I left earlier, drink a greef and come back, sell the stuff to the smithy. Back at the tradehouse, I get promoted to trooper, get an Imperial Steel Cuirass for a new uniform, and he sends me to go rescue somebody from bad ashlanders. I think I'll do that later maybe, so I go sell the new cuirass to the smithy, gather all my stuff back at the fort, and recall to the mudcrab. It's 1PM.

The Journal of Ladamyre, Part 3

Post by ladamyre »

I sell the mudcrab 10k's worth and AI, DI, MT to Caldera, then run sell 5k's worth to the Creeper. AI takes me to Balmora, and once there I take my books to my room and put them up (I have 76 now), grab the ebony Odral gave me and the rest of the Propylon indices (I have 7 out of 10 of those). I still have 7 of the standard restore magicka potions and the imperial chain cuirass, and take the dwemer artifacts that Sugar Lips wanted, the vintage brandy and the empty grand soul gem. Azura then tells me to get the vampire book she had me get, then I can go make my report to Caius. I have to drink the sujamma as I'm carrying 358 lbs. now, 8 lbs. overweight.

Caius wants me to go see an Imperial Legionairre at the Buckmoth Fort for information on where to go find and wipe out a sixth house base, specifically to kill one Dagoth Gares there. I leave and go to the thieves guild and give Sugar Lips the dwemer artifacts and then she sends me to go get her the vintage brandy I have, then sends me to free New Shoes Bragor, in Pelagiad. I sell the rewards Sugar gave me to Sotthilde, and that brings me back down under 350 lbs. and run take MT to Sadrith Mora. I go to Skink and he wants me to go escort Tenyminwe to the docks there. I go to Dirty Muriel's and since I'm here I ask Big Helende if she's got any jobs for me. She sends me to go steal a potion recipe from Anis Seloth, so I grab Tenyeminwe, run her to the docks and rip off Seloth, then I run back to the MG and deliver the recipe to Tusamircil. Now Skink wants the vampire book, I give it to him and then he asks me to arrange a meeting with an ashlander.

I take MT to Ald'ruhn and first tell Edwinna about Huleen. She then asks me to return Chimarvamiddium to Sirilonwe's chest in Vivec, which I do and come back to tell her. She says she has no more work for me, [&@%!]-ant 'evoker' that I am. So I DI to Buckmoth, turn over the ebony and then talk with the legionarre Pullia about that 6th house base, she makes me put on my "uniform" (the imperial chain cuirass) before she'll talk to me. She says one trooper returned from the expedition, horribly disfigured with corprus and died, and that the base is close to Gnar Mok, a cave called Illunibi. I then go downstairs and ask Imsin the Dreamer if she has any orders, she sends me to look for dwemer artifacts a bad guy has in Ald'ruhn. When I get a chance babe, right now I think I need to conserve my use of mysticism spells, it's at 65% now.

I cast AI back to Ald'ruhn, take MT to Balmora and fly west to Hlormaren, go into the dome on top and swipe the Andasreth propylon index. Then I go to the propylon chamber and use the index to go to Andasreth. Once there I fly up to the top entrance, go in, and get the skillbook "The Rear Guard". I leave Andasreth and fly straight south to Illunibi. Once inside I run straight to Soul's Rattle and come up on a shrine and find the dagoth. He wants to talk but I'm in no mood to talk. I equip the soutrapper and give him a whack, then finish him off with Fang, getting his soul in a grand soul gem for proof. A nice plan that worked to perfection except... I have contracted corprus! Of course I pick up the bell hammer there and over to the left side of the shrine area I go look behind a trough and find the left and right "Fists of Randagulf". Awesome gauntlets, I just gained 20 points of strength and agility and the new 'fists' increased my armor rating to 99! At least something good happened here, all I need are a really good pair of greaves to complete my ensemble.

I start to recall, but Azura says to take the propylon indexes to Valenvaryon and "...steal the retort...". Well at least I can pick up that stuff I left at Falasmaryon. I run/fly back to Andasreth, go to Valenavaryon, picking up my stuff on the way, and see, not just a retort, but a full set of Grandmasters alchemy apparatus. Azura said to steal the retort, but she didn't say to not get the rest of the stuff, so I take it all.

I then cast recall, drop off the bell hammer and fly west over Mzahnch to Ald'Sotha, go in and get the skillbooks "Chance's Folly" and "The Wolf Queen, Book VI", some scrolls, a nice daedric tanto and some ancient dagoth brandy. I also run into some bad guys I have to kill: on the way to the books I snuff Severa Magia and get 3 "Sanguine" items, another daedric tanto and 6 daedric darts; on the way out I go to the shrine there and kill Llandrale Varam and get 3 more sanguine items, her exquisite robe and shoes and a key that opens a chest behind the altar. It has the Shoes of St. Rilms in it and on the altar is an ebony broadsword. Too heavy again I recall and drop off some heavy stuff with MC Ten-K-a-Day.

I fly north to Minabi. Inside I pop open a trapped door, very powerful poison but the staff seems to counteract most of it. Then I go over some stairs down to another trapped door, this one paralyzes me for a couple of seconds, and inside I kill Bedena Nethan and get her key and a couple of scrolls there. Re-equipping the staff, I go back topside and use her key to get in the Bandit Lair. I fly up and get the skillbooks "Surfeit of Thieves" and "The Gold Ribbon of Merit", then fly out of there north to Telasero. When I get there the poison has worn off and the staff has restored all my health, so I re-equip my sword and keep on running. I go inside to the lower level and get the Telasero propylon index. Back outside, I go west over the mountain to the Ianus egg mine and whack the queen there once or twice to satisfy Nileno (I kill it). I then run to Suran and collect Desele's debt for Eydis. A scroll of AI takes me to the temple in Vivec.

I was going to the Hlaalu canton to execute this writ I have but Azura says to fly to the St. Olms underworks first (the same loose grate I used before) and go to Assernerairan and kill Relas Arothan and Durus Marius. Short blade and heavy armor pop during the combat and I get Arothans daedric longsword, but that's it, I can't carry any more. I get 4 more Sanguine items, I now have 10. Day 8 begins, it's midnight.

Then I go to the Hlaalu canton and enter the south east entrance to the waistworks, run to the north end of the corridor and enter the Elven Nations cornerclub and execute Feruren Oran. I leave and run to the arena and go see Eno Hlaalu to tell him the writ on Oran has been served and he makes me a full fledged member of the Morag Tong. I then mention special duites and he says he's not ready to give me any but I get topics for the ten sanguine items I've acquired. He takes them from me and promotes me to Thinker. I then turn and run to the MG for transport to Balmora. I buy 2 scrolls each of almsivi and divine intervention from Galbedir when I get there (I have 3 divine now).

I go to the FG and tell Eydis I have her money, she gives me a contract to kill an orc outlaw living right here in town. I then go to my room and put up all the books, then run to Caius and ask him what the hell he has in mind about this corprus I've contracted. He seems concerned and sends me to Tel Fyr because he's heard Divayth Fyr has a corprusarium there and maybe can help me. I leave him and go kill Eydis' orc, then go take MT to Sadrith Mora, and run to Dirty Muriels to tell Big 'H' I got the recipe to Tsumarel. She wants the retort Azura told me to get, which I surrender, and then she tells me to hire a wizard from the mages guild, later babe. I then fly to Tel Fyr.

Once inside the Hall of Fyr I get the skillbook "The Lunar Lorhan" and 2 more empty grand soul gems, then fly up to give Divayth the gift Caius gave me to offer him for his help. He takes it and asks me to go fetch him a pair of boots from Yagrum Bagarn in the corprusarium bowels. I take the Indornayon propylon index (I now have all 10) and his 637th key, then go to the corpruarium bowels and find a closet next to the fat dwemer that I go hide behind and pop the lock on (I get told I have resisted magic) and find the skillbooks "Song of the Alchemists", "The Seed", "The Importance of Where", "The Dowry", "The Ransom of Zarek", and "Azura and the Box", a full set of dwemer armor with axe and 246 dwemer coins worth 50 gp each. I leave the armor, then go get the "Dwemer Boots of Flying" from the fat man.(?) I go back to Divayth, athletics pops along the way, and he gives me the cure, then restores all my attibutes to normal except agility. Then I pop the lock on a small chest and inside I find a "Daedric Sanctuary Amulet", whatever that is, Divayth's 1155th key, and a dwemer coin. I'm done here.

I'm about to go give Caius the good news but Azura chimes in and tells me to go "...west, west, south-west to Shushan, kill Indrano and get the books" so I take a course just south of west, run past Uvirith's grave and there it is! I run inside and find Evilu Indrano, a slaver that I kill. I take all her stuff (she has the skillbooks "Master Zoroaym's Tale" and "Ice and Chitin"). I DI and take MT to Balmora and sell the armor, weapons and amulet I got from Indrano to Galbedir. Then I run to the temple and grab "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermons 14 & 34" and run give Caius my report.

He tells me he's been recalled, promotes me to operative and says I will be running the Blades here in Vvardenfell. He gives me his last orders to go get those lost prophecies from Mehra Milo and deliver them to Nibani Maesa, then follow her directions. So, I NOT running things here, Nibani Maesa is. I see. It's 8AM when I leave to go get my 40 gp bounty "fixed" at the south wall club, then run to my room and put up books.

I see I have 9 of the miscellaneous skill endurance books now, and since heavy armor popped back in Vivec, I can read those for the last +5 in endurance. Too bad I didn't see that coming, I could have used the 2hrs. the last book would save in training but I'm not going THAT far back in time. I have also had 10 increases in speed skills; I trained 3 short blade, it has popped 4 times and athletics has popped 3 times. So I read the 9 M.S. endurance books and level up.

Don't say it, yup, ANOTHER of those DB assassins shows up. Like the others he's trapped in the bunk and I do him in easily but this is getting mongamous. Three in a row, I think I'd better look into this soon. What did that guard say back in Gnisis? Apellus Matius... was that his name? In Ebonheart, I think I'll go see him about this... tomorrow maybe, certainly before I try to level up again. Well, I get +5's in endurance and speed as expected, and have 2 levels in the bag on day 8 at 9AM. I use my sapphire of restorations to finally get back the agility the ghost of Sul-Senipul took from me and enchant goes to 95%. I have 92 books now, 83 I haven't read yet, 6 of those are books I will not be reading for the record in this journal. I go back to using amulets for travel.

I've had a few battles recently that were tough, mainly because the charge on Fang has been low, so I use up some of the stolen soul gems I got from Galbedir to replenish it some. Enchant pops and I gather up all of my trainer amulets (except heavy armor) plus the 3 empties I've yet to have made, the potions and scrolls and the master alchemy gear I want to sell (all but the retort) and AI to the temple. From there I run to Nalcarya and sell off enough to get her 3000 gp, then I go to Millie Hastien to buy an exquisite skirt to complete the ensemble I'm putting together for that special someone and sell her the excess clothing I have making 250 off the deal, then I go tell Nileno I killed the evil kwama queen and sell her the lockpicks and probes I have. She found out I killed Ralen Hlaalo's killer and thanks me, then sends me to put the squeeze on a guar hide dealer in Vivec. I then go to Ra'Virr and buy back the stolen soul gem (dremora) and sell him the rest of the clutter getting my gold back plus all of his, then use the gem to put more charge on Fang, enchant pops again.

Since I'm supposed to go find Mehra Milo to get the lost prophecies, and I've also got news for Crassius the Queer about Odral, and then this thing Nileno wants me to do, I guess I'm off to Vivec. I recall to the mudcrab to grab the 3 pieces of grandmaster alchemy gear, one of the daedric tantos, all the potions, soul gems and scrolls I had left, and the rest of the ensemble (let's not forget the bug musk) for my future significant other. I then DI and AI to go find Milo and the lost prophecies. I go to Milo's room, hmm... not home... there's a note to Amaya on the chest, that's the code word, Amaya. I read the note and find she's gone to the Ministry of Truth (that's really the Tribunal Temple's jail, I guess she's been arrested), wants me to get to her in the jail, mentions a friend that might help, says to bring a DI scroll. I've already got it covered so I AI back outside and fly up to the jail and see her friend Alvela Saram and she gives me a key to get inside. I go in and find Milo in a cell and give her the scroll, she says to meet her at the Holamayan Monastery. That must be where the prophecies are.

That place doesn't open it's doors until 6 (AM or PM) and it's 11AM now, 2hrs. before the mudcrab and creeper have gold, so I run over to see Crassius the Queer. Over at Curio's, he thanks me for the job I did on Odral and then sends me to go put the arm on Velfred the Outlaw in Hla Oad, mmm... DI sounds good to me. I can fly to Seyda Neen and give that gold I owe the guard that I got from Fargoth (after all I AM a man of my word) and keep going to Grytewake from there. So I DI out to Ebonheart and fly off toward Seyda Neen but when I'm over a small island that has a cave, Azura says, "Go in the cave, kill the dagoth and take his robe." so I go inside (it's Assemanu), pop a lock, it's 6th house alright, I see another bell hammer, but go sanction Dagoth Hlevul first. I get his soul in one of the GSG's I have, he's got a 6th house amulet like Gares had but no robe. I look up and see a chest, it has a trap and a lock and inside I find "The Robe of St. Roris". This must be the "his robe" Azura mentioned. I go get the bell hammer and am now too heavy so I recall to the mudcrab. It's almost 1PM so I wait a little and then he has gold. I sell him 10K, AI, DI, MT to Caldera and go sell the creeper 5K. AI takes me to Balmora and I go put up the alchemy gear and soulgems in my room, then stop by Wayn on my way out and have him fix up my stuff.

I now have over 130,000 gp and think it might be enough so I take MT to Vivec and go to Janand, put up my last empty grand soul gem next to the daedric towershield and 2 glass poisonswords I had left on her desk and summon up a saint for the star. After buying a netch bracer (so she'll have the gold I spend on the enchantment) she enchants the daedric towershield with 45 points of fortify strength C.E., I call it the "Shield of Titans", I can carry 625 lbs. now. I barter back my gold, summon another saint and Janand turns the daedric tanto into the "Tanto of the Death Angel" by putting 60 seconds of soultrap, cast on strike, on touch, it replaces the old soultrapper wakizasi. Mysticism is at 92% now so I'd better stop. I barter back all my gold and leave with an extra daedric towershield and the last stolen soul gem (the winged twilight).

I run to the guar hide dealer. After I ask her nicely, I have to be intimidating and she relents and will buy her guar hides from House Hlaalu now. I decide to go tell Nileno the good news and... oops! I almost forgot, on the way I get Janand to make the last two trainers I need, one for marksman and one for mysticism. I will not train conjuration in the record of this journal but I have an amulet for it nonetheless. I barter back my gold and go to Balmora and tell Nileno we have the guar hide market in Vivec sewn up. Next thing she wants is for me to deliver orders to our spy in Ald'ruhn, Bivale Teneran, so I take MT there. I give Nileno's orders to Teneran and hurry back to tell her I delivered her scroll. Then she tells me to go secure the ebony trade; either convince the East Empire Trading Company big-wig in Ebonheart or shut down the Sudanit mine, or both if I prefer.

It's 3 PM, 3 hrs. before the Holomayan Monastery opens it's doors. I think I have enough time to gather some more books, do another of the pilgrimmages of the seven graces, and shut down that mine on the same trip. I have 1 petty soul gem with me and run take MT to Ald'ruhn again. When I get there I AI to the temple and go behind it and find a path up the mountain towards the ghostfence. I take the first right turn south, that winds around back east again and as I'm getting close to the fence, I turn south and go along the fence down, down, passing up one path to the right and as I get to a path leading away from the fence I take the right fork and it leads me to the Sudanit mine. I go inside, way down to the lowest chamber and find Darns Tedalen, the foreman. If I kill him the mine will be shut down like Nileno wants, so I taunt him into attacking me. He does and dies, I get his armor and the mine is shut down. I go out, retrace my steps and take that other fork that takes me to Ghostgate. I get there at 5PM.

In the Tower of Dusk I find the skillbook "The Hope of the Redoran", then on to the Tower of Dawn to get the skillbooks "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermons 13 & 18", and... Hey! I smell ash yams. Somebody's been eatin' ash yams. How come I don't got none! I go up to look... it's coming from that bouyant armiger, Ralen Othravel. It's that bow he's carrying! I bet that's Ariel's Bow! Legend says it smells like ash yams. I taunt the guy into attacking me, he does, dies, and I leave with the bow and his armor. Outside I go through the Ghostfence and run up the mountain path to the right and find the Ghostgate Shrine. I drop all the soulgems I have (especially Azura's Star) except the one petty and donate it to the shrine and recieve shield and fortify magicka blessings. I pick up my stuff, recall to the mudcrab and drop off the heavy stuff, then AI and DI to Sadrith Mora. Still 5PM.

I fly to the Holamayan Monastery and when I get there and I can hear the door opening as I arrive, it's 6PM on the dot. Inside I see Mehra and she tells me Master Barelo has the prophecies. I talk with him and he gives them to me and some books and papers he had about the Nerevarine, Dagoth Ur and the coming confrontation. I then see 4 more of the skillbooks that I'll eventually need, I get "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermons 29, 31, 32 & 33". I have what I came for and I suppose I should get this stuff to Nibani Maesa as soon as possible, but Azura chimes in and says, "Show the bow to the museum curator in Mournhold.". There's passage to Mournhold? I didn't know that. Sounds good to me, I can find out what this Apellus Matius thinks about these assassins, talk to the East Empire big wig about the ebony trade, and get a chance to stop off at a legendary enchanter I heard about there that stocks Grand soul gems.

I recall to the mudcrab and pick up a bunch of heavy and expensive armor and weapons to trade with then DI to Ebonheart. I go through the castle to talk to Apellius, he says he can get Asciene Raine to transport me to Mournhold to find out about those assassins. I go on to the EETC hall and bribe Canctunian Ponius into renewing the contract with house Hlaalu, then turn around and come back to the castle and get Raine to send me to Mournhold.

No sooner do I get to the temple courtyard than I run into a pushy bosmer named Gaenor. At first he wants to bum 50 gold from me. I'm not into giving hefty donations to healthy looking young men who should be able to work for their own support so I say no. Then he says I misunderstood, he really NEEDS the 50, then he wants only 10. When I say no to 10 gold he goes nuts, yelling at me and says I will regret my actions. I almost wanted to kill him on the spot but I don't. I wonder if I'm doing the right thing.

Anyways, I go on to Godsreach and to the Museum of Artifacts. Inside I show Ariel's Bow to the curator who offers me 15,000 for it. Azura said to show it to her, not 'give' it to her, so I say no and leave for the craftsaman's hall next door. I go upstairs and buy 20 grand soul gems from enchanter Elbert Nermare, then barter back all my gold plus 5000 of his. Azura then tells me to DI and go back to Ebonheart, then donate some muck at the Fields of Kummu. OK, I can stop by Pelagiad on the way and free New Shoes Bragor for Sugar Lips.

In Pelagiad I go to the trader Mebestian Ence and swipe a dwemer coherer from a chest upstairs and take it to the fort administrator and show it to her, she agrees to let New Shoes go if I keep her secret. Then I run north out of town and fly over the sound, pick up a piece of muck on the way to the shrine and donate it there for a 100 point feather blessing. I then recall, DI, AI to the temple in Vivec, buy 1 bargain levitate potion from Danso Indules and go donate it to the shrine behind the High Fane's offices, then fly up and donate 100 gp at the shrine at the palace entrance, then go down to the canal 3rd level drain, go inside and into the puzzle canal. There I take off all my armor and summon a skeletal minion (I'm still under the influence of the fortify magicka) and take a swing or two at him. Then I don my shield and fly underwater and take off my shirt. I begin to drown while the skeleton makes my unarmored skill pop. I pass out and when I come to the skeleton unsummons. I rise up out of the waters, re-equip my armor and weapons and fly up to the dremora. It's Krazzt and I give him a sword that's in a chest right next to him and go get my blessing from the shrine, I have completed the Pilgrimmages of the Seven Graces. I promptly take Krazzt's soul into a grand soul gem for his trouble, short blade pops, and I leave with a souvenir fit for a Knight of Azura.

I AI and go inside the High Fanes to get my first mission for the Tribunal Temple. I see the steward Endryn Llethan and he is impressed that I have already completed the pilgrimmages and promotes me to acolyte. He then sends me to tell a woman with corprus to leave Vivec City. I then talk to Tholer Saryoni about bad daedra and he wants to talk about the four corners, which I then do and he tells me to take 4 daedra hearts and donate them to the shrine of Malacath on Sheogorad. I recall and AI to Molag Mar and talk to Tharer Rotheloth who wants me to cure a villager in Tel Mora. I then go get the skillbooks "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermons 7, 8 & 9" and DI to Sadrith Mora.

I go down to the Fighter's Guild and talk to Hrundi who sends me to Nchurdamz to help somebody clear the place out, supposed to be a daedra in there... OH NO! Later man. I head back up and ask Arille Phinceil about hiring a wizard for 'Big H' and she tells me OK if I come back with 4 pieces of raw ebony for her. I then take MT to Ald'ruhn, AI to the temple there and see Tuls Valen who gives me a mission to practice compassion on an orc in Maelkashishi. I then take MT to Balmora to drop off my books and souvenirs. By my count I have 102 skillbooks, 9 I have read, 9 I will not read (one of those is the wasted M.S. endurance book) and there are 18 more books I need to get for the record of this journal. Short blade and unarmored have both popped and enchant has popped twice so the next level up is for speed and intelligence.

I must get these lost prophecies to Maesa soon and start leveling up so I can meet the requirements for advancement in the various factions I'm in. But first let's take a minute and inventory these requirements. All of the factions require 35 in their 2 respective favored attributes, and I'm at or above that in only two of them, intelligence and agility. So on that point I meet the highest attribute requirements only for the fighters guild, imperial cult and imperial legion. After the next level up I can add the mages guild and the tribunal temple as I will take intelligence to 35. Then I can train for agility on the next level up and qualify for top rank in all the factions I'm in, as far as attributes is concerned. Now for skills, all of them require 90 for one and 35 for two of their respective favored skills. I don't have one over 50 yet, so training for agility is sort of moot except to say it affects my hit rate with my melee weapon so it comes in a close second to short blade. Eventually I will be training five skills to 100 so I can read those books. They are short blade, enchant, restoration, blunt weapon and light armor. I'm already at 35 in conjuration and 40 in heavy armor, and I will definitely train athletics, marksman, and mysticism to 35 or over, and will practice alchemy to 35 or more, so the only faction I might have trouble reaching the 35 minimum in is the fighter's guild. My best guess on it is to switch my melee weapon to axe after blunt weapon hits 100 and I have read the six axe books. It'll be at 21 then and I'll have to hope to get it to increase 14 times through usage.

With 2.3 levels in the bag I decide to even up the score so to speak and do 3 level ups before the day is out. I have 2 speed and 2 intelligence modifiers for my next level up, and in the miscellaneous skills there's 9 speed and 9 intelligence books, so I will read 8 of each of those and level up. Then I will train 7 blunt weapon and read 3 of the 18 M.S. strength books I have, and 1 personality book and level up. Then I will read ten more of the strength books and 1 personality book and level up. That should use up the excess levels and put me dead even, 0.0 levels in the bag. It's day 9, midnight and I read the 16 speed and intelligence books and level up.

I have 4 disturbing dreams in a row, Dagoth Ur calls me Lord Nerevar, bids me to come join him and rid Morrowing of the n'wah. Then a 6th house cultist appears and I have to kill him. After those lost 5 hrs. I'm able to rest. I get +5's in speed and intelligence like expected, it's 6AM. I go train 7 blunt weapon with Wayn, come back and read the 4 books I mentioned earlier and get a +5 in strength and +2 in personality. Then read the 11 books I talked about and level up the 3rd time, same result as last time. I'm now level 7 on day 9 at 11PM.

I leave my Dragonbone Cuirass, Ebony greaves, Spelunkers pauldrons and the Fists of Randagulf on the floor, put on Dark Brotherhood pauldrons, grab the masters retort, tell Eydis I killed the orc (she has no more work for me at my current level) and run to Nalcarya to buy 3 daedra hearts (I already have one) and sell her the retort. Then I run tell Nileno I have the ebony trade all wrapped up. She rewards me with some glass armor (I put on the cuirass and greaves) and she tells me she has no more work for me either. I then fly to Hlormaren to take the propylon chambers to Valenvaryon, but Azura stops me in Berendas and says, "Go south-west to the island of Subdun. Kill the Dagoth there and get his book." I do exactly as she says and there I find Dagoth Draven, another bell hammer (I'm starting up a collection of these, that's 3 now) and the skillbook "2920, Last Seed". Oh, and I got the dagoth's soul in a grand S.G. I return to Berendas and get to Falsmaryon and Azura stops me again! She says to go to Kogoruhn, "Get the cup, weepings and shield."

I go out and fly east, south-east over the ridge to Kogoruhn where I find the corpse of Feril Salmyn, evidently an ordinator going by his indoril armor. He also has an interesting shirt, the "Hair Shirt of St. Aralor", that I get. I then go inside the Dome of the Pollack's Eye on top and find a House Dagoth Cup and some corprus weepings, this must be the cup she's talking about and I guess any old weepings will do. I then go inside the stronghold itself, down to Charma's Breath and kill Dagoth Uthol, who's actually an ash vampire, getting his soul in one of the grand s.g's I had, plus his Belt of Heartfire. Then I go to Bleeding heart where I find the "Shadow Shield". On the way in I found a pair of daedric gaultlets I took, couldn't pass them up for a keepsake. I fly straight to the Urshilaku camp from there.

I show the prophecies to Maesa. She tells me about seven trials I have to go through, that I've already done two and must see Sul-Matul about the third, so I go see him. He tells me I have to go find some stuff at Kogoruhn. "You mean this stuff, right here?" Great, he says I pass the warriors test and gives me a belt, now I must find the Cavern of the Incarnate. It's 3AM and I fly east to Valenvaryon, buy a grandmasters retort from Abelle Chriditte and use the index to go to Rotheran. From there I fly a little west of due north to the shrine of Malacath, donate the 4 daedra hearts and read a passage from the Four Corners of the House of Troubles. I then recall, DI, and AI to the temple in Vivec and go tell Saryoni I made the first pilgrimmage. He then sends me to Ald Sotha to the shrine of Mehrunes Dagon to do the second corner.

I fly out of there to Ald Sotha and go read to the statue of Mehrunes Dagon and receive the blessing, then AI back to tell Saryoni. He then tells me to go to Bal Ur to do the third corner before the shrine of Molag Bal. I recall and fly to Bal Ur and read to the shrine of Molag Bal, then recall, DI, AI to tell Saryoni. He sends me to Ald Daedroth to the shrine of Sheogorad for the fourth and last corner. I recall, AI, DI, take MT to Balmora, run to my room and pick up the exquisite shirt, shoes, skirt, bug musk and repair prongs, AI and fly to Hlormaren, take the chambers to Rotheran and fly south to the Cavern of the Incarnate.

I get there and it's still 6AM, I go in and get the Moon-and-Star ring from the statue of Azura at 7AM. Then 6 ghosts appear and they give me weapons and armors, clothes and 2 skillbooks, "Sithis" and "36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 12". Azura tells me to go be named Hortator of the 3 houses and Nerevarine of the 4 ashlander tribes, to follow Maesa's advice and free her people. I then put Conoon Chodalas axe in my #1 quickslot as a magic menu item, invoke it's enchantment and begin to whale away at Peakstar. She conjures a skeleton and begins to run but I keep after her and when her skeleton unsummons she stands her ground fighting me hand-to-hand. I repeat with the other 5 ghosts in turn, making sure I keep healthy by using the firejade and casting hearth heal and by using the staff of eagles. In the ensuing 6 hour battle, my skill in axe pops 9 times and blunt weapon once for 10 strength multipliers; and light armor pops 4 times and block once for 5 agility multipliers. The light armor and blunt weapon increases make for .5 level ups, so all I have to do is train 5 light armor (or get natural increases in it) in order to get another level up. I go outside and use a repair prong to repair the Boots of Blinding Speed since they got beaten off of me.

Azura tells me to "...fly east, north-east to the Nerano tomb and kill the vampire. Then go to the Zainab." So I go there and sure enough there's a vampire, Calvario, who gets sent to Hell in a hurry. Then I fly south to the Zainab camp and talk to the wise woman and show her my proofs that I am the Nerevarine. She tells me to go see the ashkhan. I do and bribe him up so he'll let me tell him my story. He sets me a task... you'll never guess... Yup, he wants me to go kill the vampire Azura had me go wax. I tell him I already did and he sends me to go get him a high-born telvanni bride, tells me to talk to the wise woman about it. I do and she tells me he's basically a fool and suggests I go purchase a slave in Tel Aruhn, put good clothes on her and give her some bug musk, he won't know the difference. I already have the stuff so I fly there, keeping close to the ground, using the road I will use bringing the slave back. I clear out some wild things on the way and when I get to the slaver she sells me the slave for 1100 and gives me the key to the slaves pod. I give the slave, Felura Llervu, the clothes and musk and we walk back to the camp, running into a couple more wild things, light armor pops again. When we get to Kaushad the ashkhan's yurt, he names me Zainab Nerevarine and gives me a thong. (?) It's 7PM.

Azura tells me to go north to Vos, so I fly there and into Aryon's Chambers. I first go down into his bedchamber and swipe his skillbooks "Palla, Books I & II", then I go tell Master Aryon my story and ask to be named Hortator. He tells me he will support me if I can get the other councillors to support me, that is all except Gothren, who he suggests I kill.(!) I leave there and fly to Tel Mora. I go find Lette and cure her using the spell I got from the real ashmask back in Gnisis, then go in the lower tower entrance and up to tower services where I run into Tinaso Alan and taunt her into attacking me. When she goes down I get the skillbooks "The Art of War Magic." from her body and "The Wolf Queen, Book VIII" from the desk next to me. Then I go to the upper tower and, after bribing her 700 gold, Mistress Dratha gives me her vote for hortator.

Azura tells me to go see the Ahemussa now, so I fly north west to their camp and see the wise woman, Sinnamu Mirpal. She tells me to go talk with her gulakhans, which I do, then she tells me I must make Ald Daedroth into a safe place for her tribe to go to in times of trouble. Then I ask her about arranging a meeting for Skink and she tells me she has an apprentice with childish notions, and if I can take care of the business she's tangled up with at the Favel tomb, maybe she will send her. I fly to the Favel tomb and talk with Minnabibi Assardarainat and she agrees to meet with Skink if I kill the spirit of the tomb. I go get the spirit of Kanit Ashurnisammis in a Grand soul gem and come back and tell her the job is done. From there I fly out to Ald Daedroth, which has been marked on my map by Mirpal. When I get there I clear out the threats outside, helping an ordinator, Drores Arvel, kill an orc whose boots I get. Arvel's OK with me being there and I use my newly obtained spell "Command of the Third Corner" to dominate him so he follows me into the outer shrine. There's an orc and a dunmer that attack him but I keep in the fray distracting them by equipping the staff and hovering over them letting them hit me, wearing the netch boots I got from the orc that was killed outside. We finish them off and light armor has popped twice. I go to the inner shrine where I help another ordinator, Nals Indrano defeat his opponent. Replenishing my magicka with the firejade, I dominate him and we attack a golden saint, using the same distracting technique except I get her soul in Azura's Star, and light armor pops again. I then go further inside the place and find Gambolpuddy and another saint who attacks me making light armor pop one last time. I get her soul in a GSG, then put the Boots of Blinding Speed back on. I leave at midnight, and I'm not using my chameleon amulet or rings, and taking a route back to the Ahemussa camp that I will use when I escort the wise woman Mirpal back to Ald Daedroth. I'm having to watch my short blade (76%), athletics (89%), acrobatics (92%) and blunt weapon (93%) skills because they're all about to pop and I don't want them to. Mysticism is up there too (92%) and I'm going to need to use the teleporting amulets at least 3 times to get home and then there's having to use the firejade, so I have to watch my use of enchant too, it's at 74% now. I'm flying with the Bow of Condors and clear out all possible enemies on the way with these Area Effect arrows I have. I get to Sinnamu's yurt and she agrees to send her apprentice to meet with Skink, then I get her to come with me to Ald Daedroth to prove it's safe. We get there and she names me Ahemussa Nerevarine. I then donate Gambolpuddy to the shrine and receive my blessing. I have now completed the Pilgrimmages of the Four Corners on day 11 at 3AM.

I pick up all the armor and weapons from the dead inside and out and recall out of there to the mudcrab where I drop it all off except the stuff I got back in the cave of the incarnate. Oh, and I leave Chodalas axe since it's broken. Then I AI and fly to Tel Branora and go into Therana's Chambers. It takes me only 200 gold to get her to shut up but I get her vote for hortator after that. Then I see she wants to talk about Ariel's Bow, I show it to her and she gives me some awesome armor, a daedric cuirass and greaves that both have 50 points of constant effect feather on them. I put them on; when I get back to my room I will trade in the cuirass for my good old Dragonbone but these greaves are just what the doctor ordered! My armor ensemble is now complete... a perfect combo. I AI, DI to Sadrith Mora and fly to Tel Naga Upper Tower. I have to bribe Master Neloth 600 gold for his vote, then DI back to the fort, go inside and give Skink the good news. Oops, she's standing right there! Next he wants me to go kill a former guild member in Shal that's turned necromancer. I take MT to Balmora. Once I get there I run to my room and level up. I get +5's in strength and agility going to level 8, zero levels in the bag on day 11 at 6AM.

There's twelve more books to get: 3 are here in Balmora, 4 are in Caldera, 2 are in Ald'ruhn, 1 is in Tel Aruhn, 1 is at the Omani Manor and the other is at the Indarys Manor. My attributes are: Strength 65, Intelligence 35, Willpower 45, Agility 35, Speed 50, Endurance 100, Personality 62 and Luck 57. My major skills are ShortBlade 45, Blunt Weapon 48, Enchant 37, Restoration 43 and Conjuration 35, and my minor skills are Heavy Armor 40, Light Armor 24, Athletics 21, Marksman 15 and Mysticism 22.

I now equip my completed set of clothing and armor: Dragonbone Cuirass, Enchanted Daedric Greaves (weigh only 4 lbs. when equipped), Helm of Spies, Fists of Randagulf, Spelunkers Pauldrons and Brocade Shirt, Boots of Blinding Speed, Strongmans Silk Pants and Suede Belt, Chameleon Rings and Amulet and the Shield of Titans. I can carry 750 lbs and weigh only 264 lbs in essential traveling gear which includes the 4 weapons I've had made, the amulets for traveling, thieving, restoration and domination, Azuras Star and the propylon indices.

I run to Nalcarya to buy a piece of scrap metal. Don't ask me why, my Lady wants me to take it to Radd Hard Heart in Moonmoth. I do, he wants the metal, then sends me to go rescue Joncien Ancois, supposedly with the Erabenimsun. I recall and sell off 10K's worth, even though I don't need the gold, and AI, DI, and fly to Tel Aruhn's Upper Tower. Invisible, I kill Gothren as Aryon suggested (and his two dremora guards, lot of good they did him), and short blade pops. I grab the skillbooks "The Final Lesson" and "2920, FrostFall", then DI back to Sadrith Mora. I take MT to Ald'ruhn, go get the dwemer tube from the smuggler Drinar Varyon's home, DI to Buckmoth and give it to Imsin. She promotes me to agent and wants me to go rescue Joncis Dalomax at a daedric ruin near Hla Oad. AI takes me back to the temple in Ald'ruhn and I run straight out, kinda the long way to the manor district and run into Gindrala Hleran who says there's a strange man in her house, she gives me the key to her home. I go there and kill the guy, a 6th house dreamer evidently, and go back for her thanks, my rep goes up to 36. Azura then tells me "Go kill the heretic Hanari Assutlanipal, and free Dravasa Andrethi." so I go wax the fiend and then visit Andrethi who thanks me and says he'll tell everybody I'm cool. My rep goes up another point to 37.

I then go see what the Redoran Head Honcho wants to make me hortator. Under skar, I go to the Sarethi Manor and tell Athyn my story and ask to be confirmed as redoran hortator. He wants something first, I have to go rescue his son who's being held hostage in the Venim Manor, so I head over there to bring the kid back. On the way I stop at the Morag Tong Guild and take the skillbook "The Prayers of Baranat" and then go get the boy and take him to his daddy. "Dad" then says he'll support me and try to influence the other councillors, but that Bolvyn Venim (the kidnapper) will never support me and that if I can get the rest of the council on board I can challenge him to a duel and kill him. I leave there and go to the Ramoran manor and get Hlaren's vote, athletics pops on the way out. Then I go to the Llethri manor for Garisa's vote, then to the Arobar manor for Miner's vote. In Miner's room I see the Master Helm Aengoth told me about and go behind a pillar where I can't be seen and use the Sapphire of the Telekinetic to swipe it, then Azura tells me to go to the room across the hall and swipe "Boethiah's Pillow Book" from a locked and trapped chest, ooh, this one is a baaad girl. I then go to the council hall and to Brara Morvayn's quarters for her vote. I leave her and go to Boldrissa Andrano's house for the skillbook "2920, Sun's Dusk". I then go challenge Venim to a duel and he says he'll meet me in the Arena in Vivec. From there I go to the Rat-in-the-Pot and turn over the helm to Aengoth, then he wants the Pillow Book. I give it and he promotes me to operative, then he wants my copy of "Withershins"! I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon buddy, not until I at least get a chance to read it. Adios amigo. I then run talk to Percius Mercius at the fighters guild and he wants me to go to Vas and help a bouyant armiger there wipe out some necromancers. It's noon and I take MT to Balmora.

When I get there I use the winged twilight GSG I have to recharge Fang and enchant pops so I train more of it with Ajira. After six sessions of enchant with her (it's midnight) I get an entry in my journal that the first stage of my stronghold is complete so I stop and go see Dondos Driler about it. He says I need to go cure the kwama queen at the Shurdan-Raplay mine and then recruit some egg miners. I run to the mine and cure the queen and as I'm about to recall, Azura stops me and tells me to go east to Hassour and kill the dagoth there. I go do that, picking up yet another bell hammer and getting the soul of Dagoth Fovon in a grand soul gem. Then I recall, AI, DI to Sadrith Mora and run/fly to Tel Aruhn and purchase a slave for my egg mine. DI takes me back and I take MT to Balmora and give Driler orders to upgrade my stronghold at 2AM, not bad.

I have some unfinished business that I think is long overdue, so I run from the HCM to Grytewake and talk to Velfred the Outlaw. I know his type and flatter him up, telling him how much I admire him, fighting the system and all. He gets up over 80 disposition and says he'll show House Hlaalu respect. I run back through Hla Oad and toward Ashurnibibi and run into a nord. It's the bandit Laruis Varo told me about, Fjol, and he wants gold but gets a ticket to hell where he belongs. I realize I've gone a little too far north and turn south-west to resume my trip to the daedric shrine where Imsin sent me to rescue Joncis Dalomax. I go inside and wax the two orc kidnappers, one of them has a key I use to open a door and Joncis is behind it. He says he can make his own way out so I leave and go to Shal, where I run in and kill the necromancer Telura Ulver for Skink. She has a full set of masters alchemy gear that I take. I take off to run to Hlormaren when Azura stops me and says to go north, north-west to Ashalmimilkala and "...kill Carecalmo and his bodyguard, get his belt and the Scroll of Fiercely Roasting." I swim there and do all that, then recall to drop off the alchemy gear, armor and weapons I've gotten, AI, DI and go tell Skink I got Ulver. I ask about advancement and he asks me for guild dues which I pay and get promoted to conjurer. But he has no more work for me and I take MT to Ald'ruhn to see if Edwina has something for me to do. She does, she wants a dwemer tube too! I then DI to Buckmoth and tell Imsin that Joncis is free and she sends me to go get a glove from a blackmailer in Assumanu, which is near Ald Redaynia.

I recall, AI, DI, and MT to Balmora, AI to the temple, fly to Hlormaren, take the chambers to Valenvaryon and fly towards Vas. On the way I fly over Assurdirapal and Azura says to go speak to Malacath inside. I go in the entrance to the shrine and on to the inner shrine and address the statue of Malacath. He sends me on a quest to put an end to a legend about an false elven hero who has actually taken credit for the heroic acts of an orc, and wants me to end his bloodline. Maybe later, Azura only said to speak to him, not follow his commands. I leave and go on to Vas and find Ulyne Henim, the bouyant armiger Mercius mentioned, waiting outside. We go inside, find and kill Daras Adram the necromancer. Azura then tells me, "DI to Fort Darius, then fly to Berendas, take the chambers to Falensarano, and run east to Nammu. Kill Galmis Dren and take his ring. Return it to Lalatia." I do all that, (recall dropping off armor, then DI to Ebonheart) and find out the ring is the "Ring of the Wind", the ring in darkeness that Lalatia sent me to get. She let's me keep it and sends me to go find the "Boots of the Apostle".

I recall, AI, DI, MT to Balmora and train 3 more enchant with Ajira, then Azura tells me there's a dwemer tube at Vorar Helas's house in the basket behind him. That's across the river so I go tell Sugar Lips Habassi that New Shoes Bragor is freed and she tells me to go secure the services of a security expert. Since I'm heading the Blades now I'll get Hecerinde to do it. First I go get Rithleen's copy of the skillbook "The Mirror", then to the upper entrance of Helas's house, pop the lock and go in to get the dwemer tube, then fly up to the roof of Baylen Omavels house, pop the lock on the trap door and grab the skillbook "Incident at Necrom". I go out the front door and run to Hecerinde to get him to go see Sugar Lips, then go inform her. She has no more work for me. Since I got two of the 3 books that are here I go to the Tyravel Manor and get the last skillbook, "Mystery of Talara, Part 3 (open version)" and take all the books to my room to put them up, and then take MT to Ald'ruhn.

I give the dwemer tube to Edwinna and she then sends me to Nchuleftingth to get an excavation report. Lessee, yep, I still have that letter of introduction from Hasphat. I run to the FG and tell Mercius the necromancer of Vas is dead, He promotes me to protector and sends me to Sargon to kill an outlaw. I recall, AI to Molag Mar and run to Nchuleftingth. As I'm running along Mount Kand (I like to run along the crests of mountains when I can) I run across a corpse, from his amulet and belt it must be Linus Iulus, I get his Silver Staff of Shaming too. At Nchuleftingth, I meet Senilias Cadiusus, he takes my letter of introduction and says he doesn't have the report Edwinna's looking for, but that Anes Vendu is lost and might have it. I go to find him, killing a bunch of dwemer contructs along the way, short blade pops a second time, and find him dead, his report and a book lying next to his corpse, "Hanging Gardens of Wasten Corridale". It's another of those books written in dwemer and seems to have been translated into aldmeris. I go tell Senilias the bad news and he tells me to deliver the report to Edwinna.

Azura then tells me to go north to Zennamus Yurt and kill all the Mabrigash there. I do and inside find Zennamu, kill her and free Joncis Ancois for Radd Hard-Heart. I then run from there to the Erabanimsun Camp and talk to the wise woman. She tells me to go kill 4 of the war-loving gulakhans, which I do, and then she tells me to go convince the son of the old chief to be the ashkhan. He takes some of the items I collected from the bad guys, decides to become the ashkhan and names me Nerevarine. I go back to the wise woman Minabi and she gives me their talisman, the "Siezing of the Erabanimsun".

I recall and drop off some armor, then AI, DI, MT to Balmora, AI to Hlormaren and take the chambers to Valenvaryon, then run to the Urshilaku camp, athletics pops along the way. Sul-Matul wants to talk about need and duty and then names me Nerevarine and gives me the teeth. I go chew it over with Maesa and she tells me all I have to do is get the hortator moniker from the three houses and I'll be ready for the sixth trial. I recall. AI, DI, MT to Balmora and run train 4 short blade with Todwendy, run back to my room, read the last two miscellaneous skill speed books and level up. I get +5's in intelligence and speed going to level 9, have .8 LITB on day 13 at 8AM.

Mysticism and blunt weapon are both ready to pop as well as acrobatics and armorer. I fix up Fang some (armorer pops) then hop over to tell Eydis I'm a protector now (acrobatics pops) and she sends me to talk to a farmer about some bad orcs at a daedric ruin. I cast the spell recall (mysticism pops), AI, and fly over to Nchurdamz to help Larienna Macrina for Hrundi. She's not bad, I run in to take care of Hrelvesuu and get a few dwemerbots with the staff (blunt weapon pops) then switch to the blades to take Hlervesuu's soul in a grand soul gem. I get a couple of glass arrows, ten dwemer coins and a unique dwemer spear, then DI out to Sadrith Mora where I go tell Hrundi we got the daedra. He then sends me to assist Novor Drethan at the Dissapala Mine. I take MT to Ald'ruhn and give Edwinna the excavation report and she sends me to Mzuleft for dwemer plans. I then take MT to Caldera and run to Valvius Mervuius's house to steal the skillbook "Mystery of Talara, Part 2", then "Mystery of Talara, Part 1" next door at Dro'Shavirs' house, then "The Armorer's Challenge" at the armorer Holidsmod's shop downstairs. That leaves only 3 books left to get; 1 here in Caldera but Azura tells me to wait and come back for it later, 1 in Indarys manor and 1 in Omani Manor. I AI back to Balmora, go to my room, read the 7 miscellaneous skill strength books that I have, 9 of the 11 miscellaneous skill willpower books and level up. I get +5's in strength and willpower going to level 10 and have no levels in the bag on day 13 at 1PM.

I go train 10 short blade with Todwendy, come back to my room and read 1 personality book and go to level 11. I get +5 in speed, +2 in personality, still nothing 'in the bag' on day 14 at 10AM.

Again, I go train 10 short blade with Todwendy, come back to my room and read 1 personality book and go to level 12. I get +5 in speed, +2 in personality, still nothing 'in the bag' on day 15 at 7AM.

Again, I go train 10 short blade with Todwendy, come back to my room and read 1 personality book and go to level 13. I get +5 in speed, +2 in personality, still nothing 'in the bag' on day 16 at 4AM.

Again, I go train 10 short blade with Todwendy, come back to my room and read 1 personality book and go to level 13. I get +5 in speed, +2 in personality, still nothing 'in the bag' on day 16 at 4AM.

I'm at 81 in short blade now and meet House Hlaalu's qualifications for Councilman so I run take MT to Vivec and go see Crassius the Queer. He promotes me to House Father and says he can't advance me further, I'll have to see the Duke for that. I tell him I got Velfred in line and he tells me to go kill a redoran, Banden Indarys because he didn't get a construction contract from the Duke before he built his stronghold. I recall, AI, DI, take MT to Ald'ruhn and run to Drinar Varyon's house and steal 4 pieces of raw ebony from a locked chest, then run out to Bal Isra where Indarys has built his stronghold. I go inside all chameleoned and into his room and shut the door. He knows why I'm here because when I reveal myself he immediately attacks. I make quick work of him and get the skillbook, "2920, Morning Star", an ebony longsword, 3 throwing stars and 5 arrows in addition to his armor and some good potions.

I recall, drop off the longsword and armor, DI, AI to Vivec and fly up to tell Crassius the Queer of my success. He says it would be a good idea to get Dram Bero's support. Alright! I know him, we're good friends, he gave me this awesome wakizashi! I fly over there and... you could've knocked me over with a racer plume, he wants me to fight his champion in the arena! I agree and go to the arena and you'll never guess this one. Bolvyn Venim has evidently been waiting for several days for me to show up for the duel! He's no match for Fang now, at 81, my skill with it is too much for him. Dang! He's got a full set of Ebony armor and exquisite clothes, not to mention he was weilding a daedric dai-katana! Well where the hell's Bero's champion? I go look just inside the waistworks, no... what was that I heard as I went in? I go back into the arena and there he is! Two strikes with Fang and he's crying "UNCLE!" I fly back to Bero and he gets on board. I then fly back to Crassius the Queer and he tells me he won't do business with me until I build a big stronghold. I say "Well, what's all this about hortator, how do I do that thing?" He wants a kiss! I KNEW IT! Uhh, will you take a 500 gp bribe instead? OK, so I avoid the HIV risk and he tells me I gotta go get all the councillors' support except I'll have to kill Y'ngling Half-Troll. Matter of fact the rest of the councilors will probably be relieved if I do. So I go dust off the [&@%!] and get a key to his basement where I go get his ledger and a letter. Dawg, no wonder everybody hates him, he's a crook! The letter is from Saryoni and says he gave Yngling 50,000 drakes to restore the temple, but the ledger shows he's misdirected the funds. I feel better about murdering him now.

I go on from there and get Bero's support for hortator, but he warns me that the two ladies, Velanda Omani and Nevana Ules will not move without Orvas Dren's approval. Dang, I think I'm gonna go over everybody's head and talk to the Duke about this. I recall to drop off Venims armor and weapon, then DI to Ebonheart. Before he'll promote me, Duke Vedam Dren wants me to go talk some sense to the High Fane Saryoni about controlling the ordinators. I think I have just the thing for him somewhere in all this "Saint this and that" stuff I've been toting around. AI takes me there and sho' nuff, Saryoni wants this "Robe of St. Roris" I've got. He gets the robe, the duke gets what he wants and I DI back and get promoted to councilman. Next the duke tells me if I want to be grandmaster of House Hlaalu, I'll have to wrest control of the Cammona Tong from his brother Orvas, says he would appreciate it if I can find a way to not kill him.(?) Boy! Big brother is duke first and family be damned if it gets in the way. I'm not actually qualified to be grandmaster yet, so I recall, AI, DI, go give Arielle Phinceil the 4 pieces of raw ebony and run to Big H at Dirty Muriels to tell her we've got our wizard. She then tells me to go steal a redoran cookbook. I DI back, take MT to Balmora and train short blade with Todwendy. After 8 sessions I get a journal entry that says the second stage of my stronghold should be complete so I quit and run over to Driler to see about the third stage.

Driler says to get a stronghold worthy of a councillor of House Hlaalu I must guard against bandits. Well, I'm a member of the fighter's guild, I should get a discount. So I run to Eydis and she sends me downstairs to Faenia Amiulusus who charges me 1000 gold! She says the man will be waiting at my stronghold, so I drop off some stuff in my room and run to my stronghold. Forgier is waiting there and tells me the bandits are at Zainsipilu, a cave across the river. You mean you haven't taken care of them yet? You mean to say you need my help? I guess 1000 gold at the fighter's guild doesn't buy initiative! I ask him to fight by my side first, then tell him to stay and guard the stronghold. [Author's note: you must ask Forgier to fight with you or you do not get the journal entry that mentions the leader of the bandits by name, and the quest will be broken.] I fly over there and go deep inside and kill Maros Gimayn, the leader of the bandits, then AI to the temple and run tell Driler, who then starts the 3rd stage construction on day 17 at 2AM. I then go train 2 more short blade, go to my room, read 1 personality book and go to level 14. I get a +5 in speed, +2 in personality and have nothing "ITB" on day 17 at 7AM.

The Journal of Ladamyre, Part 4

Post by ladamyre »

Time to do another inventory: My attributes now are; Strength 70, Intelligence 40, Willpower 50, Agility 35, Speed 75, Endurance 100, Personality 70 and Luck 57. My major skills are ShortBlade 91, Blunt Weapon 49, Enchant 47, Restoration 43 and Conjuration 35, and my minor skills are Heavy Armor 40, Light Armor 24, Athletics 23, Marksman 15 and Mysticism 23. I now meet the qualifications to be grandmaster of House Hlaalu and have 34 days left to complete the tasks I have set for myself. A cursory look at the time factor shows I need 370 increases in major and minor skills to get to level 51 and 25 of those are from reading books so that leaves at the most 345 sessions to spend training, that's 690 hours or 28 days, 18 hours. Ooo, I almost forgot, 37 levels means 37 hours of "resting", make that 727 hours or 30 days, 7 hours. But let's be more specific...

Maximum time I could spend training will be as follows.

I will train 5 more sessions of 10 each in blunt weapon taking it to 99 and strength to 95, then 1 more BW, read it's 5 books and the last MS strength book and spend a moment hammering up lots of broken armor I have for 1 increase in armorer for the next to last +4 in strength, 102 hours to finish strength.

I will train 5 sessions of 10 each in enchant taking it to 97 and intelligence to 65, then train 3 more enchant and read it's 5 books and the last 2 MS intelligence books taking it to 70, then I will train alchemy by making potions for 5 sessions of 10 increases each taking intelligence to 95, then 8 more increases taking intelligence to 99, I will allot 4 hours for potion making, 110 hours to finish intelligence. (Don't say it... I said at the beginning no potion "stacking", I didn't say I wouldn't make potions, only that I wouldn't be drinking fortify intelligence potions in order to make more powerful potions.)

I will train 5 sessions of 10 each in restoration taking it to 93 and willpower to 75, then train 7 more restoration and read 3 of it's books taking willpower to 80, then read it's last 2 books, the last 2 MS willpower books and train 6 mysticism taking willpower to 85, then train mystiscism 2 sessions of 10 each taking willpower to 95 and finally 8 sessions of mysticism to take willpower to 99, 182 hours to finish willpower.

I will train light armor for 7 sessions of 10 each taking it to 94 and agility to 70, then train it 6 more times and read 4 of it's books taking agility to 75, then train marksman 9 sessions and read the last light armor book taking agility to 80, read the 10 MS agility books and train marksman for 2 sessions of 10 each taking agility to 95 and last, train marksman 8 more times taking agility to 99, 226 hours to finish agility.

I will train short blade 9 times and read one of it's books taking speed to 80, then read the last 4 short blade books and train athletics 6 times taking speed to 85, then train athletics 2 sessions of 10 each taking speed to 95 and last, train it 8 more times taking speed to 99, 86 hours to finish speed.

That's it, endurance is done and I do not train for personality or luck. Summing up that's 743 hours, 16 hours more than the original estimate but that's because I will be training 376 increses in major and minor skills, not 370, and then there's the 4 hours I've allotted for potion making. 30 days and 23 hours are accounted for as the maximum time required to finish training up my attributes to 100, leaving 3 days and 1 hour to complete the rest of the goals I have set for this journal.

I see no reason now to not finish the fourth trial and become the triune hortator so I take MT to Vivec and run north to the Dren plantation to confront Orvas Dren. When I get there Azura tells me to go open a small chest in the basement, "Go kill the assassins and get the note." she says. I do and find out the note says Orvas is planning to kill his brother the duke, perfect. I go show the note to Orvas and he agrees to step down and let me run the Camonna Tong, then says he'll tell Omani and Ules to give me their votes as hortator.

Since I'm in the neighborhood I go north in the direction of the Fileds of Kummu to Alof's farmhouse for Eydis. He says there's bad orcs in Ashunartes, says if I kill the leader Burub gra-Bamog they'll probably disperse so I go there and kill gra-Bamog. Being right next to Marandus, I go there and take the chambers to Berendas, go down inside the stronghold and get the Boots of the Apostle for Lalatia Varian. I go back to Marandus and fly/run south, south-west to the Ules manor and get Nevana's vote for hortator, then AI to the temple in Vivec, fly/run over to the Omani manor and get Velanda's vote. I then pilfer her skillbook, "2920, Sun's Height", one more book to go. I AI back to the temple and fly to Crassius the Queer for what I hope will be our last meeting, he makes me Hortator of House Hlaalu and gives me the "Belt of the Hortator" to prove it. Then he sends me to go kill a telvanni, Reynel Uvirith, because she built a stronghold without a construction contract too. I don't know, I don't like the way he always seems to find a way to keep this "relationship" alive. I DI out of there to Ebonheart and try to give the boots to Lalatia but she tells me I can keep them. Then she sends me to get the "Iceblade of the Monarch" in Rotheran. I run to the duke and he makes me the Grandmaster of House Hlaalu! One down, seven more factions and guilds to go.

Continuing with this hortator business, I recall, AI, DI, MT to Balmora, AI to the temple and fly/run to Hlormaren, take the chambers to Rotheran and go inside the arena. Slavers there are evidently forcing slaves to fight to the death so I don't feel bad at all running right up to Llaren Terano completely invisible and cutting him down like a wet stalk of marshmerrow. He has the Iceblade of the Monarch in his possession as well as a slave cell key and Adusamsi's ring and robe, hmm... I go look in the cells and there's Adusamsi who takes her ring and disappears. I leave and fly/run to Master Aryon in Vos and get him to name me Hortator for House Telvanni, he gives me the "Robe of the Hortator" to prove it. I recall, drop off some armor and DI to give Lalatia the Iceblade but she lets me keep it and even gives me Adusamsi's ring since she doesn't need it any more. Then she sends me to go get the scroll of fiercely roasting and avenge the death of a healer who had it. "You mean this one?" "Yeah and I killed Carecalmo and his bodyguard too." She rewards me with some enchanted gauntlets and lets me keep the scroll. Then she sends me to go get the "Skull-Crusher" hammer. I don't ask for advancement because I don't qualify yet, but after I train up to 90 in blunt weapon I will qualify for Primate in the Imperial Cult as well as Patriarch of the Tribual Temple. I'll wait until then before I bring her the hammer.

Finishing up the quest for the fourth trial and hortator-of-all, I recall, AI, DI, MT to Ald'ruhn and go under skar, first to get the cookbook for Big H from Dinara Othrelas' bedroom in the private quarters of the Llethri manor, then I go get my bona-fides as Redoran Hortator from Sarethi. He gives me the "Ring of the Hortator" to prove it. He also has some interesting documents for me, one is a public notice declaring that I am an outlaw fraud and dangerous public enemy and to give the alarm if I'm seen.(!) The other is a note from the Patriarch of the Tibunal Temple, Tholer Saryoni himself to me, at first giving his excuses for doubting I am the "Sainted Lord Nerevar" reincarnated, but then suggesting that if I should in fact become Hortator of all three of the Great Houses, and be named Nerevarine by all four of the ashlander tribes, that I should present myself to the High Fane and discuss my claims with Saryoni. So I guess I'm headed there next.

As I am about to leave, Azura tells me, "Go to the Venim manor guards wing and get the Hlervu Locket.". I get the locket as directed then take MT to Sadrith Mora and run to Dirty Muriels and give the cookbook to Big H who then wants me to go get the staff that's been sitting next to her for more than two weeks now, "Felen Mayron's Staff". She offers me 250 gp for it but I tell her I'm keeping it. She has no more work for me and I don't qualify for promotion, however she tells me I can go see Gentleman Jim Stacey for more work, tells me he's in the back of Simine Fraline's bookstore in the Vivec Foreign Quarter Canalworks. Well I thought I was headed there anyways, but Azura's talking again. She says, "Go northeast to Omaren, and down into Anudnabia. Get the hammer and the face of terror." So I fly northeast, over the daedric shrine and into the Omaren Ancestral Tomb. Way down inside I find the Forgotten Vaults of Anudnabia, and the locked and trapped door to the Forge of Hilbongard. In the forge I find a floating chest, also locked and trapped with the Skull Crusher in it, and on a ledge above I find some dwemer boots of flying, just like Divayth Fyr's, and on another ledge a Daedric Face of Terror.

Time to go see Saryoni. I recall, DI, AI to the temple and go in the Offices of the High Fane. He wants to know if I'm willing to meet with Vivec, the man-god himself. I say I am and he gives me the key to his palace. I then ask him for promotion and he advances me to adept, so I guess we're no longer enemies. I then go meet with Vivec. He asks me to vow this and that and I so "swear" and he gives me a cool gauntlet, Wraithguard. I go back to Saryoni and he gives me credit for completing the pilgrimmages of the four corners, I'm back in the Temple cult!

All I need now is to complete a lot of training, blunt weapon first and I think I'll jump on some of the alchemy training at the same time, so I recall, pick up that master alchemy set I got from the necromancer, AI and go tell Tharer Rotheloth I cured Lette. He gives me a mission to go to Mount Kand and match wits with 3 daedra. I then DI, and go to Aunius Autrus there in the Imperial Shrine and barter back and forth with him to multiply his ingredients of ash yams, bloat and netch leather until he has 1000 of each and then buy 1000 of each. I'm very heavy but that doesn't stop me from making fortify intelligence potions with the stuff using the master's set I have with me. I wind up making 105 potions getting alchemy to pop 10 times using up 287 of each of the ingredients. I'm still very heavy but I have 4 sujamma with me so I drink them all and it's just enough for me to high-tail it for Balmora and to my room.

I put up all the mementos and stuff I will no longer need as well as the ingredients and go tell Eydis I took care of those orcs. She then sends me to go wipe out the Verethi Gang in Mannamu near Pelagiad. I then turn to Wayn and train 10 blunt weapon and go level up. Level 15 gets me +5's in strength and intelligence, bag is still empty and it's day 18, 4PM.

I go back and train 10 more blunt weapon with Wayn and come back to my room and make fortify intelligence potions, this time with the grandmaster set, until alchemy pops 10 times. I go to level 16, again getting +5's in strength and intelligence, and have no levels in the bag on day 19 at 1PM.

I used much more of the ingredients this time to get the 10 alchemy points and am sure I don't quite have enough to do the next 10 so I grab the master set (I still have grandmaster set with me, oh, and I'm walking now, athletics is about to pop) and go sell it and some of the potions to Nalcarya, barter her up with daedra skin and vampire dust until she has 10 of each, then buy as much of those two as I can trade evenly for the potions I have left, I get 13 of each. I then take MT back to Sadrith Mora and buy 1000 of the 3 ingredients from Aunius and make potions there. I make the fortify intelligence potions until I get 10 increases in alchemy, then switch to ash yams, daedra skin and vampire dust. Those ingredients make fortify strength potions and I make 7 with 33 points F.S. for 89 seconds, and being quite heavy I have to drink 4 of them to get home. I go put the stuff up in my room and go back to Wayn for 10 more sessions of blunt weapon training, then go to level 17. As before I get +5's in strength and intelligence and the bag is empty on day 20 at 11AM. I do it again, train blunt weapon and make F.I. potions until alchemy rises 10 points. I go to level 18 getting the same results and it's now day 21, 8AM. One last time I repeat the same training taking blunt weapon to 99 and alchemy to 65. I go to level 19 with the same results on day 22 at 5AM. BTW, I got an entry in my journal that my stronghold was complete after the 8th session with Wayn at midnight.

OK, strength is at 95 now, I've done the 5 sets of ten-point increases in alchemy I accounted for and athletics is about to pop. I'm also now qualified to be top-man in both the Tribunal Temple and the Imperial Cult, so I decide to go see if I have enough gravitas to force Saryoni's retirement and make Primate in the Imperial Cult. I take MT to Vivec and run to the arena to tell Tanusea Veloth to leave Vivec City and go to the corprusarium. Athletics pops on the way and she agrees to go because I ask nicely. I DI to Ebonheart and use my blunt weapon trainer before I show Lalatia the Skull Crusher. She gives me the Foe-Grinder ring because she thinks I'm low in blunt weapon and lets me keep the hammer. It's a cool hammer with two constant effect enchanments on it; 15 points of feather and since it only weighs 15 lbs. it's essentially weightless when equipped; and 5 points of fortify attack. Short blade is at 59% now and as soon as it pops I'll put the hammer in my #1 quickslot and get that last point in blunt weapon naturally. She then promotes me to Primate, along the way giving me two neat rings worth 2400 gp a piece. I then AI to the temple and tell Endryn Llethan I got Veloth to leave Vivec City. Then I talk to Saryoni and he promotes me to curate, but doesn't have anything for me (until I'm a master).

I talk to an ordinator about Oreyn Bearclaw like Malacath suggested. He gushed with praise about his son Farvyn and when I asked about him he said the kid is rumored to be in Gnaar Mok. I think I'll arrange a "meeting" now. I recall, AI, DI, MT to Balmora, AI and fly to Hlormaren, use the chamber to go to Andasreth and fly south to Gnaar Mok. When I get to the docks area Azura directs me to a shack that has Caryarel's name on it and I pop the lock, go in and find the stolen chapel limeware Kaye sent me to find, then I go further south and find Farven Oreyn and his two bodyguards milling about beside a dead netch. I tell him I know about the lie of the Oreyn legend and that Malacath has sent me to end it. He and his confederates attack me, but they're no match for me. I kill the trio, heavy armor pops during the fight, and I take all their armor and weapons and go back to Andasreth and use the chambers to go to Valenvaryon.

I'm about to go tell Malacath I've ended the bloodline of Oreyn Bearclaw, but Azura directs me to go set my mark before the Sanctus Shrine on the small island east of Assurdirapal. I go do that and then go inform Malacth. He gives me an awesome helm alright, the Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw is top-of-the-line heavy armor with two constant effect enchantments on it; 40 points of fortify agility and 40 points of fortify endurance! I'm not far from Sargon where the outlaw Nerer Beneran is so I go there and kill him for Percius Mercius. Then I go to Assumanu and persuade the rogue telvanni blackmailer Varona Nelas to give me Ilmeni Dren's glove for Imsin the Dreamer. AI takes me to Gnisis from there. I sell the smithy there inside the temple courtyard some of the armor and weapons I've gotten and get him to fix up all my armor and weapons, speechcraft pops bribing up his disposition.

I hope the outcast ashlander kidnappers of Madura Seran haven't hurt her, I am running to their camp to secure her release, with extreme prejudice! I immediately kill the two lackeys outside and go inside and "fix" Abassel Asserbassalit, tell Miss Seran to accomany me and take her to Ald Velothi. DI takes me back to Gnisis and I go tell Darius she's free. He advances me to the rank of champion and gives me some armor. I go sell the armor to the other smithy, fly to Berendas and take the chambers to Falensarano. I fly to the Dissapal Mine like Hrundi wanted and put myself at the disposal of Novor Drethan. He tells me some nix hounds are on the loose inside and that I need to kill them and go rescue somebody that's trapped further in the mine. I go find the guy, killing all the hounds along the way and escort him back to Drethan who gives me 4 pieces of raw glass as a reward. DI takes me to Sadrith Mora and I go tell Hrundi the news, he promotes me to the rank of defender. I take MT to Vivec and go see Getleman Jim Stacey, the Master Thief of the Thieves Guild. I stop by Anaren the fletcher and buy 50 of all types of the dread variety arrows and sell her some weapons getting most of her gold.

Stacey says I'm a promising member but won't advance me any and doesn't have any jobs for a "bandit" like me. But I ask him about the Bal Molagmer and he gives me some gloves which I put on and then he has a Bal Molagmer job for me, get the Hlervu locket and return it to it's rightful owner! Well, that'll be easy. I DI to Ebonheart and give Kaye the bowl I found in Gnaar Mok and he sends me to Caldera to exsorcise a ghost in Nedhelas' house. I then AI to the temple and go see Ilmeni Dren to return her glove, then run back to the High Fane and talk to Endryn Llethan and he wants me to take a vow of silence and make pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine. No kidding! Piece of cake, I make the vow and recall to the Santus Shrine post-haste. Too easy.

I fly east to Mzuleft, go inside and get the scarab plans for Edwinna and also find another one of those dwemer books, "The Egg of Time", a little further in. I run to Rotheran and on the way I see that golden saint I summoned up way back on my second day here. Not a good idea to leave those things lying around, somebody could get hurt, so I send her back to the nether world getting her soul in Azuas Star. Then I take the propylon chambers to Falasmaryon and fly to Maelkashishi to show compassion and cure the orc of her blight for Tuls Valen using my "Vivec's Touch" spell.

Azura then tells me to run southeast to Mamaea, "Kill the Dagoth and free his prisoner.", she says. I run down there and go inside ready with the Death Angel because I want to get this dagoth's soul, but run into an ash ghoul instead, getting his soul by mistake. Dang! I just wasted a grand soul gem, these are for dagoths I want to keep as souvenirs, golden saints and ascended sleepers that can be used to make constant effect items, not cheap ash ghouls. Oh well, damage done, I press on to the next area. I'm clearing the way back so I can escort the prisoner out. I find Dagoth Araynys and get his soul using the Death Angel alone. I also get my wish, short blade pops during the fight, then I keep the promise I made to myself and put Skull Crusher in the #1 quickslot. I find the prisoner, it's Hannat Zainsubanni, the son of that trader I met back in Ald'ruhn. I escort him outside and he tells me to give his regards to his poppa. I fly to Berendas, take the chamber back to Falasmaryon and AI to Ald'ruhn.

I go in the temple and tell Tuls I cured the orc and even brought back the potion, he advances me to disciple. I then go, wearing the B.M. gloves, and give the Hlervu locket to Braynas Hlervu in the name of the Bal Molagmer. I then run to the Ald Skar Inn and tell Poppa Zainsubanni I found and rescued his boy, he gives me a ring, a sword and his thanks. I then run to the fighters guild and tell Percius I killed the outlaw in Sargon. He promotes me to Warder and sends me to Avon Oran in Suran to find out about some bandits there. I go give Edwinna the scarab plans she wanted. She promotes me to Warlock and sends me to Bethamez to get some more plans. I think I already have those back in my room. Anyways, I take MT to Vivec City and AI to the temple and tell Endryn I finished my silent pilgrimmage. He then sends me to Ald Sotha to get the Shoes of St. Rilms. Now those I have with me and I turn them over, he promotes me to Diviner.

I run all the way from there to Mannammu for Eydis and kill Dovres Verethi, wiping out his gang, then run towards Suran and as I'm passing through Pelagiad I'm stopped by Gavas Drilu who thanks me for freeing him from the dagoth's spell (another one of those dreamers). He tells me he's gonna tell everybody that I'm da bom. I resume my run to Suran, but Azura stops me as I'm passing the Fields of Kummu and says to turn left into the Sarano tomb, "Kill the hunger", she says. What... am I supposed to hunt up some game for her to eat? I go inside the tomb and find a daedra hunger. Oh thaat hunger! I kill it and get an ebony helmet it had, then run on to Suran to talk to Avron Oran. He says there's bandits in Saturan, that's notheast from here. I go kill all seven of them and come back to Oran for my reward, then I run to the mudcrab and reset my mark.

AI takes me to Molag Mar and I run to Mount Kand to take on the daedra there in a test of wits. I solve their riddles and go get Vivec's blessing from the altar, then AI back and tell Rotheloth I won. I DI and take MT to Caldera and go talk to Nedhelas, he gives me a key to his house and I go in and get the last skillbook I need, "The Wolf Queen, Book I". Then I go through the trap door and get the soul of Galos Heleran, the haunting ghost in question, in a grand soul gem. I go back and tell Nedhelas it's been taken care of and AI to Balmora. I go train short blade with Todwendy and because enchant is about to pop I pay full price for my first session, then use the trainer for the remaining seven. I then go to the fighter's guild and tell Eydis I got Verethi, then she tells me to go kill that hunger in the Sarano tomb. I tell her I already got it and she rewards me for that too. She can't advance me and has no more work for me. I then go to my room and level up to level 20. I get a +5 in speed, +2 in personality and have 0.1 LITB on day 23 at 8PM.

I read one of the last two M.S. intelligence books and 1 personality book and DI to Moonmoth (enchant pops) to tell Radd I saved Jocien Ancois and tell Varro I took care of the nord bandit Fjol. I then AI back and go train 8 enchant with Ajira, and go to level 21 there in the mages guild. I get +5 in intelligence and +2 in personality, bag is empty again on day 24 at 2PM.

I train 10 enchant with Ajira and sell Galbedir a couple of scrolls for more than she wants to spend making mercantile pop, then go to level 22 in the mages guild again. As before I get +5 in intelligence and +2 in personality, empty bag on day 25 at 11AM.

I train 10 enchant with Ajira, run back to my room and read 1 personality book and go to level 23. +5 in intelligence and +2 in personality, zero LITB on day 26 at 8AM.

I read 1 personality book, run to the mages guild, train 10 enchant with Ajira, and go to level 24 there. +5 in intelligence and +2 in personality, zero LITB on day 27 at 5AM.

I train 10 enchant with Ajira, run back to my room and read 1 personality book and go to level 25. +5 in intelligence and +2 in personality, zero LITB on day 28 at 2AM.

Enchant is at 96 now and I need 12 points of mysticism to qualify for Archmage of the Mages Guild so I change the 3 quickslots I use for teleporting to spells. I pick up the dwemer plans Edwinna wants, Azura says to get Ygling's ledger too, and take MT to Vivec, then run tell Stacey I got the locket back to Hlervu. Then when I ask him about more BM work he tells me he wants to end corruption and that he knows I've already killed Yngling Half-Troll but he needs his ledger to prove he was corrupt. Is my Lady good or what? He gets the proof he needs and gives me my next BM job, to take the land deed Azura had me steal from the Vivec library way back when I first met Mehra Milo, and deliver it to a widow in Seyda Neen. Oh yeah, my Lady's good alright. Matter of fact, I still have that deed with me (everything Azura tells me to take I keep with me at all times), so I run to Seyda Neen and make my delivery wearing the gloves of the Bal Molagmer. Since I'm there I finally square up with Hriskar about Fargoth's debt. I tell him I got Fargoth's 300 gp, but he only lets me keep 100, the jerk. It's customary to pay half on a money bounty. I don't mind saying, and I know I'm one of them, but nords can be some of the cheapest [&@%!] on the face of Tamriel.

I AI to Vivec and talk to Endryn Llethan and he sends me to the St. Delyn underworks to stop a foul cult at Ihnipalit. I run out of there, jump into the water and find a loose grate there and go inside and kill the leader Bjadmund, then AI back to the temple. Llethan acknowleges my success but has no more work for me. I then run back to tell Stacey I got the deed to the widow, athletics pops along the way. I tell him I want to do another BM job and he gives me the unique dagger "Enamor" and tells me to go slip it into a bouyant armigers chest in Ghostgate along with a note. OK, well that's a long trip, I better get started. I DI first and tell Kaye I got Nedhelas' ghost. I then recall, drop off the armor Bjadmund was wearing, AI, DI, take MT to Ald'ruhn and give Edwinna the airship plans I found in Bethamez. Then I run to the fighter's guild for orders, Percius gives me some flin to deliver to the Elith-Pal mine. I DI to Buckmoth and tell Imsin I got Ilmeni's glove to her, then AI back to the tower and run to the Ghostgate, athletics pops along the way and I equip the staff and fly the rest of the way. I go in the Tower of Dusk and meet Wulf, who asks me what I'm up to. I tell him I'm the Nerevarine and he gives me his lucky coin and a new power, "Luck of the Emperor", it's fortify luck, 20 points for 125 seconds. Thanks old man! I then go down into the basement and put Enamor and the note in Salyin Sarethi's chest like Stacey said.

I then run to the temple there and talk to Uvoo Llaren about my duties. She sends me to go heal a sick ashlander just outside which I go do. When I report my success she gives me food and drink to take to a hermit not far from Rotheran. I decide to knock off two of Dagoth Ur's citadels on my way to Elith-Pal so I fly up the mountain north to Odrosal. Inside I find and take the soul of Dagoth Odros, and I find Keening, the shortsword profane tool of Kagrenac. From there I fly north-east to Tureynulal, find and get the souls of the Dagoths Tureynul, Fandril, Fals, Galmis and Molos, and also find the Cleaver of St. Felms and Kagrenac's Planbook. Blunt weapon popped after the third dagoth and, after finding the Cleaver of St. Felms, I used it to finish off the dagoth that was there where I found it and my axe skill pops. I go back to Fang for Dagoth Tureynul, then put the axe in my #1 quickslot. I will use it now as my primary weapon because I need to get my axe skill up to 35 to qualify for Master of the Fighter's Guild.

From there I fly east-north-east to Elith-Pal and deliver the flin to Dangor for Percius. Then I recall, drop off some saleable weight, AI, DI, take MT to Balmora, AI, run to the HCM and train 4 ahtletics with Danar Dalomo, then run back to my room, read the 5 short blade books, the 5 blunt weapon books, and the last M.S. strength book. I then go to level 26 getting +4 in strength taking it to 99, +5 in speed taking it to 85, and I have 0.6 LITB on day 28 at 6PM.

Azura tells me to take the War Axe of Airan Ammu with me before I go to Hlormaren. How did she... (?) But I already have an axe... yes ma'am. I then fly/run to Hlormaren and take the chambers to Rotheran to go give the hermit Sendas Sathis the food and drink Uvoo sent me to deliver, then I cast AI and run up the mountain east and fly over the fence to get to Endusal. There I get the souls of the Dagoths Endus, Goral and Mendras (axe skill rises 1 point), a deadric wakizashi from the corpse of a redoran hero (lot of good it did her), dwemer centurion plans and Kagrenac's Journal. I then run down the mountain to Ghostgate and tell Uvoo I made her delivery. She then wants me to go get the Hair Shirt of St. Aralor, which I have with me. I give it to her then she wants... you guessed it, the Cleaver of St. Felms, so I turn it over too (so that's why Azura told me to grab that other axe). Then she advances me to Master. I can now talk to Saryoni about his long overdue retirement, I'm sure he'll step down and make me the Patriarch as soon as I have defeated Dagoth Ur.

I need 6 more points of athletics to qualify for Knight of the Imperial Dragon, 12 more points of mysticism to qualify for Arch-Mage of the Mage's Guild, 3 more points of axe to qualify for Master of the Fighter's Guild, and 11 more light armor and 20 more marksman to qualify for Master Thief of the Thieves' Guild and Grandmaster of the Morag Tong.

I cast recall and drop off the wakizashi I found, AI, DI, mysticism pops, and take MT to Balmora. There I train 1 enchant with Ajira and suddenly get this bad feeling about my stronghold. So I run out there, it's midnight when I get there, and there's a miner from my egg mine telling me daedra are attacking the mine! I'll be damn, I just got that place up and running, I'm not about to let some [&@%!]-scrib daedra tear it up! I run out to the mine and there are 5 dremora that I attack. I'm invisible so they're just standing around until I hit one of them, then he tries to run but still fights back when I have it cornered. I have to cast hearth heal 3 times to keep up my health and restoration pops once. Still I finish them off with the axe and skill in it pops as well. I run back to the Mages Guild and train 3 enchant with Ajira, taking it to 100, and 6 mysticism with Marayn Dren, run back to my room, read the 5 enchant books, the last MS intelligence book, and the last 2 MS willpower books. I then go to level 27 getting +5's in intelligence and willpower. I now have 1.3 levels in the bag on day 29 at 9PM. I then read the ten M.S. agility books and go to level 28. I get the last point in strength (100 now) and +5 in agility, have 0.3 LITB on day 29 at 10PM.

There's 14 more books to read, 5 restoration, 5 light armor and 4 personality books, that is for the record in this journal. Double checking on the allocation of slots; there are 46 slots left, not counting the 23 I must use for luck. Intelligence is at 95 and will use two slots, willpower is at 55 and will use 10 slots, agility is at 40 and will use 13 slots, speed is at 85 and will use 4 slots and personality is at 82 and will use 14 slots at the most. Total of 43 slots, 3 left over. Looking good.

I decide to take care of the last 4 intelligence points I must train for by making potions, this time I'll make the best fortify strength potions I can. I go get my grandmaster apparatus, the several hundred fortify intelligence potions I made, and all the ingredients I have (except the netch leather and bloat), and run take MT to Ald'ruhn. AI takes me to the temple and I go in and barter with Danoso Andrano until she's stocking 50 dreugh wax, and then buy 350 pieces of it and sell her the excess ingredients and enough potions to get back my gold (over 15,000). I then take MT to Sadrith Mora and go buy 204 ash yams from Aunius Autrius (I had 146) and sell him enough potions to get back the little bit of gold. I run take MT back to Balmora and run to Nalcarya's shop. I barter her up to 50 each in daedra skin and vampire dust, and buy 350 of each, verrry expensive (over 100,000 gp, and that's haggling a lot, mercantile pops). Then I sell her all the potions I have left and begin to mix fortify strength potions with all four of the ingredients I now have that all have the F.S. property. I wind up increasing alchemy 8 points like I planned with 9 sets of ingredients to spare, but I use them up too. I sell Nalcarya all the potions I just made except the 14 last and best ones, 50 points of FS for 140 seconds (!), I walk away having paid 70,000 gold, 5,000 each for potions I can sell to the mudcrab or creeper for 135. Oh well, it was for a good cause.

It's too bad mercantile popped back there, I can't use the multiplier on personality since intelligence is trained up and I still only have 0.3 LITB. That's OK, I won't miss it and it won't cost me any time, I planned to train ten light armor anyway. As I leave I can't stop thinking about last night's attack on my egg mine so I decide to run out to the hacienda and see if everything's OK. I check out Sernsi Drelas and Unila Berendas, then Gol and Tures, everything's alright. It strikes midnight when I leave Tures, and all of a sudden there's a khajit in bonemold armor in the courtyard. I go talk to him and he says Rilia Hleru, back at the HCM, wants to talk with me, probably about yesterdays attack. I run back and find her waiting. I never noticed her here before, maybe she flew in on news of the attack to advise me. She thinks the telvanni are involved but needs proof and suggests I go see if I can get a Camonna Tong operative, maybe at the Council Club, to go investigate. No sweat babe, I just happen to be the leader of the Camonna Tong. I run over there and find a new face, Nerin Helvar. He says he'll look into it and needs 500 gold for expenses. I give him the gold and run back to the HCM and get Nileno to train me 10 light armor, then go to my room, put up the alchemy gear and level up. I go to level 29 getting a +4 in intelligence taking it to 99, a +5 in agility and have 0.3 LITB on day 30 at 10PM.

I decide to train up for all the quallifications I need to become top guar in all the factions and guilds I'm in, so I go train 5 mysticism with Dren (taking it to 35) and 5 restoration with Sharn in the Mages Guild and level up there. I go to level 30 getting the last point in intelligence and +5 in willpower, still 0.3 LITB on day 31 at 7PM. I then go train 10 light armor with Nileno and go back to my room, read 1 personality book and level up to L31, +5 in agility, +2 in personality, still 0.3 LITB on day 32 at 4PM. I go train marksman with Gilyan Sedas at the Morag Tong Guildhall, but after 4 sessions I get a message that Helvar is back at the Council Club with a report, so I go get my report. He says a powerful telvanni wizard, Therin Uvaris is behind the attack, that the telvanni council didn't actually sanction the assult but knew about his plans and did nothing to stop him. I go tell Rilia and she says he'll be dealt with and suggests I talk to the captain about assigning more guards, but I think I can handle this myself. No need having more mouths to feed at my stronghold. I go finish the six marksman with Sedas and go back to my room, read 1 personality book, then go to level 32 getting +5 in agility, +2 in personality, still 0.3 LITB on day 33 at 1PM. I go back to Sedas for that last 10 marksman I need but after 5 sessions I get another bad feeling about my stronghold. I've learned to trust my feelings on this so I run out there. It turns midnight just before I get there and there's a telvanni wizard, 2 dremora, 3 skeleton archers, a storm atronach and a flame atronach, attacking my stronghold. Fjorgeir is doing nothing, I guess because I'm invisible, has he ever turned out to be a disappointment! I go ahead then and take them on one at a time, saving the wizard for last. The battle takes 2 hours but my axe skill pops those last two times I needed. With the wizard dispatched to telvanni heaven, I go back and tell Rlia about the attack. She gives orders to have my stronghold upgraded and leaves town. I go back and finish the 5 marksman with Sedas and go to my room, read 1 personality book and go to level 33 getting +5 in agility, +2 personality, still with 0.3 LITB on day 34 at 1PM.

I think it's time to go gather up some long awaited laurels and Azura agrees. She tells me to get the wizards staff I found in the Urshilaku Burial Caverns, Galur Rithari's papers that I got back in the secret library of Vivec and that grand soul gem I mistakenly captured an ash ghoul's soul in and leave the Bal Molagmer gloves, I won't need them anymore. "Let the people recognize your power.", she says, so I go take MT to Sadrith Mora. There I tell Skink I want advancement and he tells me I must have a wizards staff. Goofy. He promotes me to wizard and then master wizard. But then he wants me to do more duties, like get him an ash ghoul soul. Even gives me two scrolls of Ephyggi's Gem Feeder and two grand soul gems to put it in. Thanks bud but I already have one here. Next he wants me to go get Galur Rithari's Papers. Anything else? Now how's about advancement? He says it's been an honor working with me, gives me his amulet and... oh... he has a note for Trebonius from Ocato telling him to grant me the title of Arch-Mage that I am to run things in Vvardenfell now. He may keep the title of Arch-Mage but may no longer participate in the activities of the Mages Guild and must take orders from me now. I take MT to Vivec and give him the note. Mages Guild goal complete.

I then go to the fighter's guild and assassinate Sjoring Hard-Heart, then run down to Gentelman Jim Stacey and tell him I put Enamor and the note in the guys chest. He promotes me to captain and tells me, as a regular guild quest, to go find out what happened to Brother Nads. I run to the Elven Nations Cornerclub in the Hlaalu canton and ask around; Sovali Uvayn says Arvama Rathri spoke with Nads the last time he was in here but she denies it. The bartender, Gadela Andus won't say anything about Arvama, but she does tell me that Nads lives in St. Delyn Canalworks, South-Two. On the way there, Azura tells me to stop by the redoran outfitter and buy his grand soul gem and I do (I have 6 now). I get to Nad's place and find him murdered, so I get the key like Stacey wanted and head back. I take a short detour to the Morag Tong HQ in the Arena canton and go give Eno Hlaalu the Sanguine belt I've been dragging around for over a fortnight. He takes it and promotes me to brother, then when I ask if he has any special duites he sends me to go find out the name of a Dark Brotherhood member from a wizard in the lower waistworks of the foreign quarter. I go to the shop of Miun-Gei there and he gives me a name of a DB member to take back to Eno, but just to make sure I go talk to the khajit, Tsunami is her name, and secure her promise to meet with Eno.

I go give Nad's key to Stacey and he promotes me to ringleader, then asks me to go talk to Percius Mercius in Ald'ruhn about fighting Camonna Tong influence in the fighter's guild. I run back to Eno Hlaalu and give him the name of the DB contact and he promotes me to Knower. He then sends me on another special duty to Pelagiad to get one of the Sanguine belts. I run there and get the belt and run back (trying to get athletics to pop) and give the belt to Eno who then sends me to go recruit a guy in the Ald'ruhn mages guild. I run take MT to Ald'ruhn, talk to Movis Daris about joining the Morag Tong and he agrees, maybe because I didn't give him much choice, it was either that or die. I then go tell Percius I got the flin to Eith-Pal and ask him about advancement. He promotes me to Warder. I then asked him if he would help the thieves guild fight the Camonna Tong he told me about Eydis and Hrundi, the stewards of the other chapters in Balmora and Sadrith Mora. When I ask for orders he tells me I must remove Sjoring and his supporters if I want to advance further, but when he finds out I've already killed Hard-Heart he makes me the guild Master. Fighter's Guild goal complete.

I run take MT back to Vivec and first tell Stacey I've gotten information from Percius to help us fight the Camonna Tong, then I tell him I've killed Sjoring Hard-Heart and am the Master of the Fighter's Guild, so he gives me the Skeleton Key. Then I ask about a promotion and he makes me mastermind. I ask again and he says I have to do more jobs, and when I ask for one he says he has one more job, to watch over the Thieves Guild since he's retiring and making me the Master Thief! Thieves Guild goal complete.

I run to the arena canton and tell Eno I have the sanguine belt I got from Movis, then tell him the guy will be joining us. He promotes me to master, then sends me to go get another sanguine item in Yasammidan. I have made head honcho in 3 guilds now, 3 more to go, Morag Tong, Imperial Legion and the Tribunal Temple which I will get after I defeat Dagoth Ur.

Azura says to keep going, "Go to Darius and help him end the threat to the Emperor." I figure I can go do that and then go get that sanguine item for Eno afterwards since I'll be as close as ever to Yasammidan then. So I run back to the foreign quarter and take MT to Balmora, run/fly to Hlormaren, take the chamber to Berendas and run to the Madach Tradehouse in Gnisis to ask Darius for orders. He sends me to go free Ragash gra-Shuzgub in Arvs-Drelen. But I thought.. nevermind, I go get the orc and escort her outside the place and come back to tell Darius. He promotes me to knight errant, THEN tells me there's a talos cult operating in town and asks me to go get proof of a conspiracy against the emperor. I go to the barracks and talk about the talos cult to a guard and he says to tak to Oritius Maro about that. I do and convince him to let me in the cult. He gives me a key to a trap door to the shrine and says to see Arius Rulician down there. I enter and find a locked chest that I open and find the proof Darius is looking for. I kill Arius Rulician, then leave the shrine and, not being invisible, am attacked by Maro. He goes down and I go back to tell Darius. He thanks me for bringing justice to those who oppose the emperor, but cannot promote me any further.

I run to Yasammidan and kill Anel Rethelas and Mindeli Saren because they both have sanguine items. I recall, DI and am about to AI when Azura stops me and says to go see Frald the White in the Hawkmoth garrison. I do and he sends me to Ghostgate and show a bouyant armiger there the meaning of courtesy. Then I cast AI and run give Eno the ring he wanted, athletics pops along the way, and then I give him the sanguine belt I got while I was getting the ring. I ask him for more special duties and he wants me to go to Assernerairan and kill Durus Marius, but I tell him I already did that. He seems impressed and promotes me to exalted master. I ask for more special duties and he tells me to kill Severa Magia in Ald Sotha, but again I have to tell him I already have. Now he's really impressed and gives me the "Black Hands Dagger", a daedric dagger with a kick-butt enchantment on it; cast on strike absorb health 10-25 points for 30 seconds and blind 10-50% for 30 seconds! Awesome! I ask him about advancement again and he tells me I've gone as far as I can unless I wish to challenge him as Grandmaster. I tell him I do and he tells me traditionally the old grandmasters are given an honorable death by the new ones replacing them, and that I can certainly try to fight him if I think I can win, but that he's tired and will name me Grandmaster if I wish. Far be it from me to break with tradititon I kill him and become the Grandmaster of the Morag Tong. Morag Tong goal complete. Of course I get all the sanguine items I had given him earlier including one he had from the start. I then hear my Lady speak.

Azura says, "Go clean the filth from Vemynal, then do what you must do to replace Vantinius as Knight of the Imperial Dragon." So I run back to the mages guild and take MT to Balmora to put up the stuff I don't need. I leave with the trainers I will be using, my new awesome dagger, the Templar cuirass Darius gave me, the Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw, the 14 very expensive fortify strength potions I made, all of my custom made gear and the propylon indices. I go back and take MT to Ald'ruhn.

From the mages guild there I fly/run north, northeast to Vemynal and take the souls of Dagoths Vemyn, Garel, Nilor, Felmis and Soler. I also get the soul of Beldoh the Undying and find Sunder, the last of the profane tools I will need to defeat Dagoth Ur. I then AI back to Ald'ruhn and run to the ghostgate. There I meet up with Salyn Sarethi and he asks me 3 riddles that I answer and he then acknowledges my superiority.

I recall and DI to Ebonheart, then notice I have no empty grand soul gems any more, so I decide to take a quick trip to Mournhold and buy some. Asciene sends me there and I go buy 10 more grand soul gems and on the way back, when I get to the temple courtyard, I see a guy in a full set of ebony armor and run up to him for a closer look. All of a sudden the guy says "You should run now." and I see it's Gaenor! The little twerp starts out on me and, guar-gone if he's not the luckiest little fart you ever saw, he's kicking my but pretty good. I can see he's regenerating fast as hell too, so I drink 4 of my FS potions and put on 'Bearclaw" for the extra 40 points of agility putting it up to 120. The fight was touch and go for a while there but he eventually went down to the power of Fang. I remember wondering if I was doing the right thing letting that jerk walk away after threatening me the way he did, but I guess I did take the high road. Threats are just words, Azura was with me and saw me through the battle because righteousness was on my side. I take transport back to Ebonheart from Effei-Tei. Gaenor chopped the boots right off of me, so I'm kinda slow right now.

I go tell Frald I won the contest and he promotes me to knight bachelor, then sends me to kill a traitor in Aharnabi, near Azura's Shrine. Say man, is there a smithy nearby where I can get these boots reapired? Downstairs? Sirollus Sacchus is the name, thanks man. I go down there and find Vvardenfells pre-eminent smith. This guy has his own custom hammers that are the best I've ever seen so I barter them back and forth until he stocks 100 of them and then I buy them and sell him the ebony greaves I got off Gaenors corpse. I then recall, repair all my stuff, AI to Molag Mar and fly to Aharnabi, go inside and kill Honthjolf the traitor, recall, DI and go tell Frald the job's done. He promotes me to knight protector and sends me on my way.

I run to the Grand Council Chambers and talk to Varus Vantinius. He sends me to go get the Lord's Mail, which has been stolen. I go recover the mail by finding and killing Furius Acilius in his underground lair and bringing it back to Varus, then he sends me to go retrieve Chrysamere, another artifact that has been stolen. Draramu Hloran is supposed to have it, somewhere near Sadrith Mora so I recall, AI, and DI there. Almost nobody wants to talk about the witch but Pierlette Ristorard the alchemist says she's at Ahanabi, not far to the southwest. I go there and kill the witch and recall, DI and go give the sword to Varus. When I ask about advancement he challenges me to a duel in the arena in Vivec. I cast AI and run to the arena where he awaits and kill him for the title of Knight of the Imperial Dragon (order of Ebonheart). I get back the mail and sword. Imperial Legion goal complete on day 35 at 11AM.

I recall, AI, DI and take MT to Balmora for training. I already have 1 speed multiplier so I go train 9 athletics with Danar Dalomo, go to my room and read the next to last personality book and go to level 34 getting + 5 in speed, +2 in personality, and still have 0.3 LITB on day 36 at 7AM.

I go train 10 athletics with Dalomo, come back and read the last personality book and go to level 35 getting + 5 in speed, +2 in personality, and still have 0.3 LITB on day 37 at 4AM.

I go train 8 athletics with Dalomo and 10 light armor with Nileno and go to my room to level up. Level 36 nets me a +4 in speed taking it to 99, +5 in agility and I now have 1.1 levels stored up on day 38 at 5PM. During LA training, I got a message at midnight that the fourth stage of my stronghold was complete.

I go train 10 light armor with Nileno, then go to the mages guild and train 10 restoration with Sharn and go to level 37 there. I get +5's in agility and willpower, and have 2.1 LITB on day 40 at 10AM.

I train 10 restoration with Sharn and go to level 38 there. I get +5 in willpower and 1 point in speed taking it to 100 and still have 2.1 LITB on day 41 at 7AM.

I train 10 restoration with Sharn and go to level 39 there. I get +5 in willpower and 1 point in personality and still have 2.1 LITB on day 42 at 4AM.

I train 10 restoration with Sharn and go to level 40 there. I get +5 in willpower and 1 point in personality and still have 2.1 LITB on day 43 at 1AM.

I train 10 restoration with Sharn and go to level 41 there. I get +5 in willpower and 1 point in personality and still have 2.1 LITB on day 43 at 10PM.

I go train 10 light armor with Nileno, go to my room and go to level 42 getting +5 in agility and 1 point in personality and still have 2.1 LITB on day 44 at 7PM.

I go train 2 light armor with Nileno and get that funny feeling about my stronghold again, so I stop and run out there. It's day 45 at midnight when I get there and Nerin Helvar is waiting inside my home! How do you like that?

I always talk when I'm not attacked first (Pemenie doesn't count) and he says there's a wizard he saw while he was in Sadrith Mora that has harnessed a dremora's soul to power a traveling ring that will teleport you and whoever is traveling with you. Well now, I guess that's a good enough reason to break into my house, give me good news like that. Verul Therin's his name, and he's supposed to be hangin' at the marketplace near the slave trader. I know where that is, "Nerin, you stay here. I'll be right back.", and I recall, AI, DI there and run to the marketplace. Sure enough, there IS a guy there I've never seen before and I try to talk to him but the second he sees me he goes nuts and attacks me. I have to kill him in self-defense, not in any trouble or anything like that, and he has a ring alright. It's even called a teleport ring, but it doesn't do anything. (?) Oh, me and Nerin are gonna have to have a little talk about this. He'd better still be at my stronghold. I DI back to the fort and MT to Balmora and run out to the house. He's there and says I need to get the ring 'tuned', says he knows a mage that can do it. She's at the mages guild in Balmora, Vira Lethan's the name. Well I've never seen her before. I cast AI to the temple and run in the mages guild and there's a new face alright and it's Vira's. She wants 2000 gp to fix the ring. Oh I get it, Vira is probably Nerin's lover and he's just shooting her some business. Well I'm rich and 2000 is a drop in the bucket so I pay it, she says it'll be done in 3 days.

Since I'm here I train the last point in restoration with Sharn (100 now) and 4 points of mysticism with Dren, then go finish up 8 light armor with Nileno, go to my room, read the 5 restoration books and go to level 43 getting +5's in agility and willpower and now have 3.1 LITB on day 46 at 4AM.

I go train 10 light armor with Nileno, go to my room and go to level 44 getting +5 in agility and one point in personality. Still 3.1 LITB on day 47 at 1AM.

I go train 6 light armor with Nileno, go to my room, read 4 of the light armor books and go to level 45 getting +5 in agility and one point in personality. Still 3.1 LITB on day 47 at 2PM.

I read the last light armor book and go train 9 marksman with Gilyan Sedas at the MTG, come back to my room and go to level 46 getting +5 in agility and one point in personality. Still 3.1 LITB on day 48 at 9AM.

I go train 8 marksman with Gilyan Sedas at the MTG, go to the mages guild and go to level 47 getting +4 in agility, taking it to 99 and one point in personality, taking it to 100. Now 2.9 LITB on day 49 at 2AM. I turn to Vira and take delivery of the Hlaalu Teleport Ring.

I train 10 mysticism with Marayn Dren and go to level 48 getting +5 in willpower and 1 point in agility taking it to 100. Still 2.9 LITB on day 49 at 11PM.

I train 8 mysticism with Marayn Dren and go to level 49 getting +4 in willpower taking it to 99. Now 2.7 LITB on day 50 at 4PM. I level up again and willpower finishes at 100 and then one more rest period for level 51 and luck goes to 100. Now all my attributes are at 100 and it's day 50, 6PM, 14 hours left to the deadline.

I go back to my room, grab Wraithguard, Keening and Sunder and leave with those, my custom made gear, "Bearclaw", "Withershins" (it's sort of a promise I made), the 10 fortify strength potions I made, 10 propylon indices, 10 grand soul gems, Azura's Star, and the untested Hlaalu Teleport Ring. I go take MT to Ald'ruhn.

When I get to Ald'ruhn I deliver the copy of Withershins to Aengoth and then fly to Dagoth Ur's stronghold, it's 7PM when I enter the outer facility. I take the souls of Dagoths Ienas and Vaner there, then go to the inner facility. There I take the souls of Dagoths Drals and Rather, and go on to the inner tower where I take the soul of Dagoth Irvyn and find the Crosier of St. Lothis and a daedric club. Back to the inner facility I go to the lower facility and take the souls of Dagoths Muthes and Gilvoth, the latter being the last and strongest of the ash vampires, but he's no contest. I also find a daedric shortsword on a corpse before I go into the facility cavern and find Dagoth Ur waiting there.

He wants to talk like the very first of the dagoths I killed so long ago, Dagoth Gares at Illunibi. But just like I was with Gares, I'm not talking, there's nothing to talk about. The Death Angel has come to Dagoth Ur and I'm not talking about my tanto. I'm the Death Angel and my Lady Azura has sent me to collect a debt owed by Dagoth Ur. I lay into him without warning and he goes down as fast as any of the ash vampires before him. But he disappears before I can access his corpse! Ahh, I have fought an illusion. He must now be in Akulakhan's Chamber. I go to the door and find the Heart Ring on the ground, it would not go through the door with the apparition. I go inside Akulakhan's Chamber.

There I find the real Dagoth Ur, proud and haughty as ever. He declares he has already won, that I cannot hope to defeat him, that escape is impossible. Escape is not my plan though. I equip the staff and soar over the edge of an abyss of smoke and fire and see the Heart of Lorkhan, beating at the end of the unholy metal stem, pumping the divine magicks that are giving life to the beast Akulakhan. The heart whose very existence gives immortality and divine power to Vivec, Almalexia and Sotha Sil, even from this distance. I descend to the heart, equipping Wraithguard and Sunder as I arrive and give the heart a terrific blow. Then I equip Keening, even as Dagoth Ur's evil magicks find their mark and am staggered, and strike the heart 5 times. It withers and dies. I equip the staff and it begins to restore my health as I watch the beast, and Dagoth Ur, fall into the cauldron of flame and lava. The nightmare is over. There is a crank to open the door and I go back into the inner cavern, hoping my Hlaalu Teleport Ring will work in there.

As I approach the next door, my lady Azura appears for real. Not in a vision as in the Cavern of the Incarnate, but in her divine body. I feel shame that I have been damaged so and strip to my skin that I may use my sapphire to restore all my attributes to 100, then use my magic to re-equip the boots, then all my equipment that I may appraoch her in all the glory she has led me to attain for her purpose. She then tells me I have achieved my destiny and tells me to persevere in my good works. Then she gives me her own ring that has a constant effect 20 points of night eye and 3 points of restore endurance. I am struck dumb and cannot move until she has left.

My senses return and I get the ring she has left. Then I test the teleport ring, a dremora named Mehrule appears and asks where I would go. I ask that he send me to the Hlaalu canton in Vivec. I am transported there and AI to the temple to give Saryoni the good news and to ask his wishes concerning retirement. It's still day 50, now 10 PM.

He sends me to retrieve the Ebony Mail on Mount Assarnibibi where Molag Bal oversaw the 99 lovers of Boethiah that gave birth to Almalexia. He is still enamored of that old, now proven to be false religion. I do not try to convince him otherwise, he has promised to step down and make me Patriarch of the Temple if I bring him the mail, so I recall and AI to Molag Mar. I fly to the mountain and find the shrine that grants me the mail, then recall, DI, AI back to the temple and show him I have it. He tells me I may keep it as he keeps his word and makes me Patriarch of the Tribunal Temple on day 50 at 11PM. All the quests I had set forth at the beginning of this journal are now accomplished, and with 9 hours to spare.

The end.

The Journal of Ladamyre, Epilogue

Post by ladamyre »

Epilogue

In reading through this journal I'm sure many veterans and perhaps a few newbies can see mistakes that were made. Quests that could have been pursued at times that would have been more time saving, travel wise. And perhaps many veterans of the game saw opportunities to gather books in other locations (I've marked off two with a "*") at different times or skip gathering because they would be given upon completion of other later quests. In defense, let me say... this was actually a first run journal. I did calculations of time to spend training at the beginning, made a plan of quests to pursue and when to pursue them, estimated time to spend traveling and how and what to train and when to train. This journal is however the refinement and expansion of having successfuly made a similar test of time and goals in a previous game I've played where I made Grandmaster of House Hlaalu, finished the main quest and reached 100 in all attributes in 50 L-ups in less than 50 days. I think I had more than a day left over on that one.

I think it is possible anyone could do this if they kept to the journal's plans. Read ahead and plan your actions well, make adjustments as necessary and I think the goals can be done as described. Of course it will get more difficult as the story progresses, but most of the "natural increases" in skills should happen pretty close to the times they are described as happening, if you can make adjustments, delay a swing of the axe, cast a restore health earlier than needed, stand still and take another hit, that kind of thing.

Now for the promised revelation, the third and un-official plug-in is the Rethan Expansion version 2.2 by Baratheon79, one of my favorites.

Let me give kudos and credits to those that deserve them the most: The keeper and contributors to the website of UESPWiki (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Morrowind), and let's not forget the map (http://www.uesp.net/maps/mwmap/mwmap.shtml). I say none of this would have been done without the enormous amount of time and energy that has been put into these two fabulous sources of information. Thanks guys.

And thanks to all of the Morrowind contributors of all stripes that have made so many plug-ins and provided support for this wonderful game since it's inception so long ago. No wonder it continues to delight and entertain thousands each day.

You put a lot of work into this. I need to read this thoroughly so moderator keep this up. I settled on a Nord specializing in magick with sign of the lady too. I have been trying to achieve what you have as well but at as low a level as I can not in as short a time as I can. With most of the guilds I have found that I only need to go to 80 in a favored skill so I get my attribute to 80 and then train to 80. I go with personality and luck instead of endurance and luck. At level 1 I train 10 points of med armor which at level 2 brings my endurance to 80. I train 10 points illusion which brings my personality to 70. At level 2 I train another 10 points in illusion bringing my personality to 75 at level 3 and train 10 points of enchant to bring my intelligence up to 35 at level 3. At level 3 I train my illusion 10 more points to bring my personality to 80 at level 4 and blunt 10 points to bring my strength to 55 at level 4. At this point I can train in spear, med armor, and heavy armor to 80 and I have not done anything really dangerous yet in the main quest. I can also bring my speechcraft and illusion to 80. If I pick 2 mage skill as major skills and since I specialized in magick I can do enough mage quests to head the mage guild as a level 4 player. Important: Illusion has to be a miscellaneous skill. Also all the endurance skills have to be miscellaneous or you will level up too fast. At that point you can head the fighters guild and imperial legion because your heavy armor is high enough you can head the mage guild and morag tong because your illusion is high enough you can head the imperial cult because your speech craft is high enough and you can make potions to get you alchemy up to 90 even though your intelligence is not that high to head the temple. Some factions ( I think the temple is one) actually require you to get to 90 so this may not be 100% I know the with the mage guild you only need 80. The one guild that take longer is the thieves guild. I usually get my acrobatic up to 80 after my strength is up to 80 which I can achieve by training in blunt by level 9. For that reason I put off heading the fighters guild so I can head both guilds at the same time. I also use the bitter cup to get my luck up 20 points since I can bring the attribute that gets robbed of 20 points back up faster at 5 points a level.

I see some good points although it's hard to place the value of each rebuttal since I don't know what your characters specialization is or what all of his major and minor skills are.

I will offer up some of my reasoning for the decisions I've made though. Short blade and blunt weapon are majors because they are the primary weapons I use. Bl.W. can't go in the minors because I have to max it out and read it's books. Besides, putting it there would only put one of the skills there in the majors and there's no benefit to that except possibly putting mysticism up top (that would make "Horn of Valhalla" a conjuration spell), and that would affect the usage of that spell involving changes to the rise in mysticism, maybe helping out some of the times I had to restrict my movements, but overall slowing it's rise from usage.

Long blade, axe and spear weren't considered because they add points to my starting stats and that lowers the maximum level ceiling. Also, axe is one that has six books. 2 hours gets saved there.

Restoration has to be in the majors because of the Boots, it can take a half an hour to get the spell for them to hit at a 2-1/2% chance, an added benefit is Hearth Heal. Enchant's there too for the obvious reason.

Actually all of the minors are there because they will rise faster from usage starting at those lower numbers.

Personality is lower and it's skills are all miscellaneous because it so easy to get speechcraft and mercantile to rise.

Endurance is favored because he's doing all that running, making athletics go up for the speed. Luck is favored (obviously) to make the 100's goal achievable in 50 level-ups.

If you noticed, I like souvenirs and I didn't think of using up the Bitter Cup for the 20 points of luck. That does give me an idea though. I wonder if a shorter time limit or level-up goal can be achieved...Hmm...

But I so much like seeing that cup on my desk. Hmmm....

I wonder... :|

No need to offer reasoning. No rebuttal. I like the walk thru. (spoilers) I steal the platter by dropping it but every thing else I steal is in the other rooms. I don't even take the store house key. I give the ring to fargoth sell everything to the trader get the quest to find the hiding place. pick up the ax because that is a major skill. get the rumors about the tax collector and find the body. question the murderer and kill him when he attacks. get the rumor about the smuggler's then I clear out the smuggler's cave. I kill the first one go up the stairs to release the slaves and take the back way to pick some pauldrons and the thief ring. Then using the ring and my shield power I kill the other two. I save first just in case. there is a chest and a sword if you take the water to a hidden cave but i ignore it. I collect anything of value including some probes. I then go to the tomb to pick up mentor's ring. the battle mage in the tradehouse give you a rumor about it. Then i hit the light house and wait for fargoth. I pick up the ring and cash but I don't give it to the quest giver. By this time the trader has 800 gp more and I sell everything I can to wipe him out for the second time. I take the silt rider to balmora and say hi to caius and talk to the blades. I get some armor from one and alchemical apparatus from another and some moon sugar from the third. I buy 10 resist magick potions and a potion of mark from the alchemist and go to caldera. I stole anything I could that was in barrels and crates in balmora and sell them to the creeper. I get the orc armor and put it on. I say hi to the blade and get a tip. I also go to the trader and get a recall amulet and the strength amulet and a lighter ax and the ring of aversion. I joined the fighter's guild and the mage guild while I was in balmora and got some hammers so I fix the ax. I have armorer as a major skill. I then head out of town and meet the nord. we go off and kill the witch. I return his ax and get my strength raised 2 points. I then meet the guy with the boots of blinding speed I agree to take him to gnar mok. I stop by to say hi to the nord blade and get a tip. when I get to gnar mok I use 5 of the potions and put on the boots. I then get the glass short blade in the stump. I then run to aldruhn. first I pick rasha's shirts return them and get "work" I get the saryoni's hymn and quote from it to the dead beat and get all kinds of trinkets for enchanting. I say hi to the blade in aldruhn and get a tip (only one more left.) I take the silt rider to khuul and The boat to solstein. run to get the whitewalker robe on the north coast (this is the first thing I can't really explain by roleplaying.) I put it on using 5 more of the resist magika potions. I almsivi (picked up the scroll from the balmora mage guild when i joined) to gnisis and get denstagmer's ring and silt rider to seyda neen. I say hi to the last of my fellow blades and get a map. I then silt rider to vivec and do the invisible boy quest getting the 75 gp from the father go to the televanni mage and get the rumor about rats. I tell the mage the boy should pay his own debts. I go to the enchanter and get the rat infestation quest and kill the rats in the back room and steal all the soul gems. I also buy a glass blade from him for 30 gp or less and fix it. I go back to the father and tell him about the debt to pay and he gives me 400 (but i don't pay the debt.) I also buy a glass blade from him for 30gp or less and fix it. If I need more hammers I go to the fighter's guild to get them. take the silt rider to Suran and steal the sword of white woe using the ring of aversion and fix it. I buy another glass blade from the pawn shop for less than 30gp and fix it then I run to the mud crab merchant and sell a couple of lass blades for 8000 that I bought for 30 apiece and drink my mark potion. Then it is a matter of training and following quests. every 10 point of training take 20 hours and the mudcrab merchant will have 10,000 more cash. Get 10 point of med armor steal another sword of woe and recall back to the merchant. Sell a sword of white woe getting 2 glass baled in change. 10 points of enchant and back to the merchant to sell the 2 glass blades. between quests I get a levitation amulet in tel vos by doing "work." I also cozy up to the thief in Pelagiad in order to eventually get the hint about the key to the redoran treasury and a fortune in ebony stars. I do the mage quests to get an almsivi amulet and a divine intervention amulet and also steal all those soul gem which I use to enchant the exquisite ring I got from the murderer of the tax collector with a open 100 spell.

edit: the biggest problem is I can easily head all the guild and complete the main quest by level 10 which is way too early to do tribunal or boodmoon. I start on easy and go up 10 points every level so I am on normal by the time I finish but played most of the game on easier settings. Because all the skills I use a lot are misc i progress very slowly. I start with an ax (a major skill) but after only a few level I switch to spear (a misc skill) and train up to 80 I start with unarmored (major) but train med and heavy armor (misc) to 80 after a couple of levels.

An interesting way of going about getting some of the stuff I mentioned.

But the thread is just my journal about getting to 100 in all of the attributes in 50 level-ups and in 50 days or less, and finishing the main quest as well as becoming "Top Guar" in House Hlaalu and all of the other non-house factions, except of course the Blades and Ashlanders which are unobtainable.

No criticism intended, but it's not about how fast or how low a level you can become the top guy in the guilds. It's merely a journal.

I'm looking for any notes from anyone along the lines of, "Hey, you could sell the Wraiths Wedding Dowry to Arille and get ____ extra sujammas and have one to take at ____ when you needed it, since you're gonna get another book later on."

That stuff is actually more what I'm looking to provoke, critical thoughts about the methods, roads, events, even the very skills I chose, specialization and favored skills documented in the journal.

But any comment is welcome, heck it's free country, Vvardenfell that is.

I'm bumping this since I just joined House Hlaalu and councilman Duruza said he would read it when he got back from a scouting trip to Skyrim. Didn't want it to get lost or become the subject of a necromancy controversy. (BTW: I'm NOT a necromancer either!)

Hehe, I was mentioned! 8)

I must admit I've been really busy catching up with school on my return from France Skyrim, but I have been reading through this bit by bit.

This:
I leave and go straight to the Hlaalu Council Manor and see Nileno Dorvayne to join House Hlaalu. She says I sound just like somebody she knows and wants me to try and fool a redoran honcho into giving us some documents by wearing one of their helmets and pretending to be him, I agree to do it. In asking her about the house's councillers she mentions a guy, Crassuis Curio, says he has weaknesses and can be manipulated. Well, that's good news... I guess.
... brought a tear to my eye. Joining House Hlaalu, a great day indeed.

I really like how you've created not just a work of fanfic, but also a comprehensive guide to maxing a character.

I'll post a link on the Hlaalu page, because I think this deserves commendation. Congratulations, Kinsman!

Finally got around to doing the walk thru. I am on xbox goty and when you pick up a book you automatically read it so I can't follow exactly. Also you have some plug in's that I don't have. I tried to get the helm of tohar and was unable. But I still like it and am learning some things I did not know. I gave up using a new character but I have an existing nord I am using to go thru as close as I can step by step.

I am unfamiliar with play on a console and was unaware you could not pick up books without reading them. There is no way to access inventory and pick things up and insert them into your inventory on X-Box? If so that's too bad, I'm afraid that will make the goals impossible.

Good on you mate, for doing the thing anyways.

i salute and applaude you. Someone enjoying all the ackground and such may want to walk the whole land tho. I certainly enjoy the occasional stroll throug the grazelands, observing ogrim and golden saints in their current in-habitat
