Just thought I would start a poll to see who's getting the collector's edition of Skyrim. The dragon statue looks really cool, but I just can't justify the $150 pricetag for what you're getting even though i'm a HUGE Elder Scrolls fan.

guidebook? I haven't heard about this and I've got a Gamestop pre-order. I just thought you got the cloth map w/ it. I wonder if this is just an area specific deal or what....

That's okay though... I wouldn't use it anway. I would just sell it on eBay. Still nice to have as a pre-order bonus though.

The only real appeal of the CE to me was the artbook. And I guess the guide/hint book will have some concept art in it as well. I am such a winner.

if they had things about the monsters, and stats or what not i might want that....
but if its a "Go to jim to get the () quest forget that

they should make a "lore" type book for the next game, I would buy it

The link you provided shows the actual strategy guide. That's why I said I wouldn't use it. I need to figure out the land and all its wonders on my own.

and anyways, any time I needed help on Oblivion I would just come here and type it in the search bar, so a strategy guide is really not needed

Strategy guide will be sold everywhere when this game is launched so dont worry about it if you want it, however i did hear the price tag is also because of how rare the CE actually is, theirs not gonna be many out there and some stores where i live have already took down the CE from their websites for pre order as it has more than likely been ordered by everyone.

Yes. Although i think it's over priced, I have Collectors ed for Morrowind and OBLIVION. Getting SKYRIM Collectors ed seems fitting. Ooh! and Batman Arkham city Collectors ed... yes!

I still dont understand how stratgey guids work in open eneded games....
unless its only main quests and guilds?

They will have detailed walkthroughs on each quest, and on how to find them, plus lots of info on where to find loot, items and all info on enemies, NPC's, skills basicly what this website does, although the strategy book would be better, not that i'm knocking this website

I dont recall TES 3 or 4 doing that

Yeah, they had an Oblivion strategy guide, people where putting them up on ebay for £100 and actually selling them as well.
