Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
Because it is my favorite house, perhaps my most favorite. (It honestly depends since they are very intertwined in the Temple, but I'd like if they had the honor and less slavery-blind eye.)
So the fact not only we but Tamriel Rebuilt is making Indoril alive; the High Lord is anxious to lead the House to victory and glory! If only for the Third Era.
But personally? I always liked this Ordinator Armor mod; http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/V ... il&id=2525
As I think the original Ordinator Armor is a bit too Indoril-colours. Ordinators are independent!
But I suppose Our Lord Velothi has blessed many shields so the Temple and Dunmer may use them.

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
Looking at it, I think I prefer the original, but I'd certainly go for that third .esp file.
We should compile a list of Indoril Mods, including stuff that affects the Ordinators, and possibly even the temple.
Great House Indoril (Beta)
And also possibly this one, Ald Indoril, which I haven't actually tested, but I just discovered.
Plus the two mods listed in the above posts.

We shall, along with our own.
But a question I have is how will our mod be in comparison to Tamriel Rebuilt? A Vvardenfell sect from the mainland or what?

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
We could look into some of the already established Dunmer Strongholds and other locations in the Molag Amur region, as a possible refugee for any House Indoril 'settlers' to the region? A Vvardenfell sect, controlled and guided by powers in Mournhold, at least in its infancy, but eventually lead by the PC, after they have fully established themselves on the island.

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
That will work - we'll need to search for some Strongholds.
And seeing how Marandus is held by Redoran as of Morrowind's time line - so whose to say Indoril can't do the same with crusades to Vvardenfell?

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
There might be a 'mission' (as in place not quest) in Molag Mar, and the Stronghold of Telasero might be suitable, and might allow for expansion too. There is a quest there, so we'll need to consider it, but there aren't any other suitable options in the region, unless we look at ruins.
Further, the Vansunalit Egg Mine could be taken over and cleared, as it is currently flooded. We can also always think about building a new stronghold.

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
Here is what we could do; our first mission is to take a batallion of Ordinators to the Dunmer Stronghold.
Consequently you find a sorcerer/researcher; Sondaale. This allows us to give our Indoril player two choices.
You may take her into custody so she may be questioned by the Indoril Lords of Ministry of Truth and Mournhold, or question her yourself.
This allows you to act like a crusader of the Temple (killing Sixth House scum) and a helper of the people. (You could attempt to convert her to the Temple with aid, promises, and sending her to Vivec to recover from her experiences in the Dunmer Stronghold)
How's that?

I like the idea, I was thinking along the same lines. That is, lead some troops into the Stronghold and defeat the Sixth House, then claim it under the Indoril Banner. As for the mage, I guess we could just allow the player to complete the quest similar to normal, if they haven't already, taking her to her chosen destination and receiving the 500 gold reward from Hrundi, regardless of guild membership.

In due time I think that would be a good idea. If you want to in the meantime, you could work out some ideas for the actual Battle for Caldera Mines. From the Redoran side of things, what happens, who's involved, that sort of thing

Actually, it would seem that Gnisis is currently rented to the Imperial Legions, at least according to the wiki.Chaos the N'wah wrote:Gnisis IS NOT IMPERIAL LEGIONI don't care if there's a fort nearby and a cult within the town, at most it's neutral or temple owned

I'd say it's still apart of the Redoran sphere of influence, and not of Imperial influence.

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
Oh I'm not disputing the fact that it's a Redoran town, just putting forward a reason as to why that map shows it as Imperial. Because there is a major Legion Barracks there, and a scarce Redoran presence.
But I guess I'm on the verge of derailing this thread and sending it off a precipice.
So, why not construct a 'White Book of House Indoril'? I might also write an Indoril fanfic I've been meaning to, and post it here for your reviewal

A place with both a tribunal holy relic and so close to a pilgrim site of great importance should never be labeled as Imperial own, the map should be the same as it is with Sadrith Mora/Wolverine Hall, split in two. Every other Imperial owned locale is either a fort or is all western architecture like Dagon Fel, Pelagiad, or Seyda Neen.

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
In many respects I'd be inclined to differ to that map actually. I'd say that all of the Ascadian Isles, Bitter Coast and lower West Gash are basically Hlaalu territory; The Ashlands and upper West Gash are Redoran; and the Grazelands and parts of the Azura's Coast and Molag Amur regions are Telvanni influenced, with small pockets of Imperial administration and Temple holdings scattered around the place, with Azura's Coast mostly uninhabited, and the Molag Amur region mostly controlled by the Temple and Ashlanders (potential for Indoril settlement perhaps? *hint, hint*).
Perhaps a simplistic view, but it's what I think. As for this issue, I think that Gnisis has a notable Imperial influence, due to the fact that the Legion is supposedly renting the barracks from House Redoran there, and the Redoran presences is somewhat lacking anyway.
But this discussion, while thoroughly interesting, is kind of out of place for the Indoril thread

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
Actually, seeing as you mentioned it, the Ashlanders are probably one of the groups most opposed to the Temple, without being marked to be rooted out like the Heretics and so forth. Seeing as House Indoril not only is in line with the Temple, but also has no dealings with the Ashlanders, can we assume that they are not entirely friendly? What would their relationship with them be like? Similar to the Temple?

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
I can't see either faction even tolerating each other, let alone friendly
The Ashlanders would view the Indoril as worshipers of murderers
The Indoril's opinion, pre-Nerevarine, would be that they're heretics living on Temple land
Post-Nerevarine, who knows, all depends on how the Temple has changed in the absence of their living gods

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
I suppose we can make that a key factor in the Indoril-quest, whether or not the player is the Nerevarine or not.
If the Nerevarine is not yet established, then Indoril will maintain a hostile relationship with the Ashlanders. (As they Ashlanders do trade with the Telvanni and Hlaalu, enemies of the Great House of Indoril)
As well as some Religious crusades of making Ashlanders Temple-worshipers.
If the Nerevarine becomes an Indoril, then you can help with the decision-making of the Ashlanders. Being hostile with them, co-existence, or friendly. (With some adoption of Ashlander traditions and having some of the Ashlanders join House Indoril and the Temple. Thus the de-militarization of the Erabenimsun Tribe even more so.)

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
Even post-Nerevarine, I am inclined to believe that the Indorils would try to cling to the past, as it would be uncharacteristic for them not to, seeing as they have endured much and lost their position and power all in the name of tradition and the Temple.
That does open an interesting question though, would the Nerevarine, as the incarnation of Nerevar, have some instant authority in the House? Or would House Indoril maintain that he or she was not Nerevar Incarnate, even after Vivec acknowledged that fact?

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
But they are also charitable and a very poor-friendly House, so they may help the Ashlanders if their religions no longer conflicted (the Nerevarine).
Though it'll be an odd position for House Indoril, but I think after Vivec would declare the PC the Nerevarine, they'll accept the PC as Nerevar Reborn. Obviously if Nerevar Reborn is apart of another House, s/he can't join.
But I suppose House Indoril would want the Nerevarine as a spiritual leader or (if he was independent) allow him to join the House.
It's their fore-father's spirit, would you give it up after your gods say it is a-okay?

Re: The Great House of Indoril (Club/Faction)
I think the Nerevarine would have similar power over all the houses in a similar way that the Tribunal did, but Indoril would be more open to it. Since the Nerevarine is not only acknowledged by the Temple, but also goes on to unite the Dunmer people (figuratively) and defeats one of Indoril's greatest foes, House Dagoth; I'd say that Indoril would reform, as Vivec suggested, back to ancestor worship, but keep the Tribunal, Nerevar, Velothi, etc. as Saints to be revered though not in positions of power. Likely, Indoril would see him as a patron saint of their house and welcome him to become their grandmaster, but he/she turned it down because of the strife it would cause if the Dunmer' only living saint left chose one House over the other (ignoring whatever faction you did join).OblivionDuruza wrote:
