i don't want an item like the Gray Cowl in Skyrim. Yes it was cool at firstbut it took everything away from doing a crime for example at first you would be very careful not to get caught but with the Cowl you could do the crime and know everything is good because if you are caught you can just take off the cowl.

It's optional dude, like everything else in TES, know one forced you to wear the cowl when you pinched something to avoid the gaurd's.Pachico760 wrote:i don't want an item like the Gray Cowl in Skyrim. Actually, the cowl didn't work like that for me. The guards still knew it was me. -sniffles-

Yeah, but the cowl is ugly. I meant a hood. A normal one.

Agreed. When I hit someone in a dark, remote corner of a city, I don't want a guard spawning next to me like he's a divine policeman or something. A Assassin's Creed style detection and infamy meter would be better.JJKG wrote:Do I really have to say it?

I don't want game corrupting glitches, but some of the exploits and bugs in Oblivion nearly made me die laughing. The old Oblivion glitches were fun, and I hope some of them find their way to Skyrim from Oblivion and FO3. After all, what's a Bethesda game without a few bugs?

Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
I don't want:
-small selection of weapons/armor
-leveled quest rewards, uniques or artifacts. Would prefer no level scaling at all.
-Dragon encounters to be of a high frequency, ESPECIALLY AT LOW LEVELS. It looks like I'm dreaming here though. I would much prefer if there was only maybe 5 dragons in the game.
-Ridiculous amounts of glass/daedric/ebony loot, it should be pretty rare stuff
-limited selection of factions. I'm really hoping for vampire clans, necromancy factions, a nordic equivalent of great houses (again, I'm dreaming)
-inflexible spell making system (although sadly it looks like this could be gone)
-fortifying skills above 100 to be pointless
-quests that are designed with fast travel in mind

Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
I hope there is no:
Quests that force you to walk 39284469200236457 miles, expecting you to just fast travel.
Glitch that makes it near-impossible to play the game until patched after a week (This HAS happened twice before...)
Psychic Gaurds. (Biggest problem with Oblivion for me...)
A constant push to do the main quest. No "KVATCH IS ON FIRE OMGOMG". I can do things on my on pace without the main story screwing things up...
2-3 sets of dialouge per character. I think there should be at least 5 different conversation options each. However, this interferes with...
Less then 3 voice actors+Sean Bean! In the real world, do all people of the same race sound the same? Im pretty sure thats not the case. Yuck
No dragons every 5 minutes please...
I dont want to see the arena going bye bye either

Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
I honestly don't want a lack of (in-game) racism. Makes it a lot more realistic. Nords don't generally like Elves do they? Then show it!
A lack of spells would be horrendous.
A lack of dialogues would be awful.
But, there is one thing I fear, in our tounge it's called - FAKE ACCENTS!

I used to make polls, but then I took an arrow in the knee.
Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
I don't want my argonian to sound like a nord. I couldn't stand that about oblivion. I really hope every race has a very distinct voice actor for you character, instead of using some sounds for other races.
Not changing this until Skyrim comes out, and even then, I'll probably be too busy... playing Skyrim...

Seeing as Argonians are reptiles, I think it would be neat to give them a slight lisp, or hiss when they talk.

Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
What I don't want to see?
- Same enchanting style as Oblivion.
- Four-tiered skill systems that make every single level between them pointless.
- Essential characters to keep idiots from ruining their saves.
- Essential NPCs placed in hostile areas to make me wish I hadn't wished for non-essential NPCs
- Babysitting quests involving said NPCs IF they continue to be ridiculously weak
- Enemy health based on some BS formula just to have 1K HP, forcing you to hack at the same thing for ten minutes.
- Skill and Attribute efficacy ceilings
- ONE woman doing EVERY SINGLE VOICE OF EVERY SINGLE FEMALE FOR THREE ENTIRE RACES OF ELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Fancy pants quasy-English dunmer.
- A redguard happening to be the expert or master trainer of almost every single skill, despite the fact that they're in a foreign country and the said skills completely going against their ideology
- Leveled items.
- Leveled items.
- Did I mention leveled items?
- Leveled items.
- Enemies/ objects that only appear at certain levels
- A tiny bestiary
- Daedra being whelps
- I'll think of more later. I'm now mad at Oblivion
EDIT: Oh yeah, one more.
- Another game that was geared toward children and lazy fetchers, that wound up being a bug-ridden, early-third-trimester abortion, because Bethy got bored and wanted to go do something else.
Okay, now I'm done. Phew.

Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
I don't want:
Psychic guards, nor guards that call me murderer one second and then give me friendly advice on getting around town the next.
To join the Mages Guild in order to craft spells.
High-level equipment on low-level enemies.
To fall only a few feet and die a horrible death.
A lack of diveristy in the cities structures or their inhabitants.
To be unable to delete spells I no longer use, want or need.
Items that have a base value of something like 10000 gold when the weathiest merchant can only barter with 1500.
A voice actor voicing more than one race.
Quest items that you can never, ever, ever drop. (I think it might be better when you try to drop one for a pop-up to say 'this is a quest item, are you sure you want to drop it?' or something to that effect.)
A lack of alchemical components.
Fences, unless they're in each city or town.
To be unable to buy houses.

I don't want more than three DLCs, nor do I want them to already be on the disc.

Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
If you haven't started the MQ to stop the dragons, I don't want my peaceful town wandering to be interrupted by a giant flying iguana.
I generally find the MQ's to have a lot to do with fighting heaps of undead and going through dungeons. I am not saying I do not want that in the game, but I don't want to have to do the MQ to stop the onslaught of dragons.
For example, Oblivion Gates (as far as I know) didn't really open until you started the MQ.
I actually don't really like the MQ's generally. But: If there isn't so much undead and zombies to do with it, and more dragons and strange things, I would be ok..
But, seeing as which I usually run around on a horse jumping around, I wouldn't take my opinion seriously.

Re: What don't you want in Skyrim?
I agree 100%. What I'd really like to see is a kind of setup that allowed you to have different characters in different places, so if you save playing one character, it goes into that character's slot. That small change would make the game immensely less complicated.Minor Edits wrote:The inability to change the names of saves on a console needs to go. I would really like to able to label my saves in Skyrim. It's a change so simple, yet helpful, that it will be pretty silly if it doesn't happen imo.

I dont want them to take something out of the game that was already in, just to bring it out as DLC and then charge me for it, knowing that i'll buy it.

I don't want it to be Morrowind's clone or for it to only have five dragons.
