How should Alduin destroy the world?
Greetings to you
I'm here with another poll! You can all thank me by supporting my badassery.
I believe the question is pretty straight forward - How should Alduin destroy the world? It's common knowledge that our dragon friend threatens us in some way but HOW? If he could just smash Nirn with his tail it'd be rather boring, so let's put our creativity to the test.
Personally I'd like him to be a little manipulative. Weaken governments and let his dragons exploit the chaos. Feels more plausible than just charging in and pwn everything in his path.
What do you think? Discuss!

I used to make polls, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

He's Alduin. The World Eater.

Aye, but he has got to be awfully big to literally EAT a world, yes? I figure it's a fancy title...I could imagine some boss somewhere out there being called "Darkbringer" but he wouldn't actually, physically bring real darkness. Right?

Government manipulation sounds cool. But I don't see a giant dragon handing out court bribes.

Re: How should Alduin destroy the world?
Lets not go in to details but my point of veiw is thislegoless wrote:Alduin is most certainly a god. Read this.Wolfie wrote:this is cause i dont think he truely is a God
#1 Aduin made the worlds by him self, akatosh did not
#2 Aduin had made worlds before this one Akatosh is not
#3 Aduin foguht lohkan twice and lost once, Akatosh did not
#5 The nords worshiped Nomal dragons as Gods
#6 The kajhits version of akatosh is a giant cat like dragon
#7 Gods are real, so either one or the other is not true, and I dont think aduin is
#8 acording to lore
Lohkan and akatosh apeer in "evrey majoir" relijon how ever in dark elfs he is not others say that Almalexia is Akatosh, so we know by lore they dont physicaly mean the same person as such I do not belive he is treuly a God just a powerful dragon as if he is aktosh then one has to be wrong, and even if he is not either he or the 7 made the worldone of two deities found in every Tamrielic religion (the other is Lorkhan).
plus we belive the Adera have to use all of their powers, while aduin did not have to, tio make this world and in fact has made more then once
So no that dose not mean he is a God, just that nords used to worship him as a God, which tecnaoly makes himn a God but I'm talking in the face this thing was made and born form a mother dragon

Re: How should Alduin destroy the world?
Wolfie, the full quote is:
Therefore, there is no specific reason for Alduin not to be a god, and he can 'eat the world' or simply end time, to begin it again, which is the ending I'm inclined to go for, seeing as we know he can eat away age, leading me to believe that he can eat away time itself.
Akatosh (Auri-El to the Aldmer and Alduin to the Nords) is the chief deity of the Nine Divines (the prescribed religious cults of Cyrodiil and its provinces), and one of two deities found in every Tamrielic religion (the other is Lorkhan), save only the Dunmeri Tribunal of self-made gods.

The only problem with that is show me where in lore it says that? evrey book in game says that akatosh apears in allOblivionDuruza wrote:Wolfie, the full quote is:Akatosh (Auri-El to the Aldmer and Alduin to the Nords) is the chief deity of the Nine Divines (the prescribed religious cults of Cyrodiil and its provinces), and one of two deities found in every Tamrielic religion (the other is Lorkhan), save only the Dunmeri Tribunal of self-made gods.

I want him to be like Voldemort. You know, he is a puppeteer. He controls the government indirectly, spreading chaos and confusion.

I hear what you're saying but Voldemort is the worst part of the Harry Potter books. He's a hypocrite, one-dimensional and his deeds are generally poorly written. I'm just saying.POMC S117 wrote:I want him to be like Voldemort. You know, he is a puppeteer. He controls the government indirectly, spreading chaos and confusion.
But we can agree on governmental control however.
...And setting the moon on fire.

You'll find that they are opinions.
And come on, Hitler was a hypocrite as well! His idea of a perfect German was blond hair and blue eyes but look at him!
Hmm... Setting the moon on fire while sending it hurtling towards Nirn would surely... what? Cut it in half.
And aren't there not two moons.

"The truth dawns in fire"... so... why don't we wait and see? Maybe he'll send his evil minions into skyrim through big fiery ga... or... maybe he'll throw a moo... erm... OR he'll send a floating island, absorbing sou... erm... I'm sure they've thought of something good

I think fire means the dragons breathing fire. Or is that too literal! They've tricked us! Bethesda that is!

Sadly, there are more than enough room for two hypocrites in our world.POMC S117 wrote:You'll find that they are opinions.

Because it's awesome? And imagine the devastation it'd cause! The flames are just there for show though.

Re: How should Alduin destroy the world?
With the A-Bomb glitch. When everything goes super-slow, he can work on gradually fulfilling his title as "World Eater".
Ingenious plans aside, I believe that he'll attempt to destroy it by raising undead/Daedra and all that.

I'm sorry, did I actually answer your question?
All he has to do is to stop making the world go around.
Think of it— stop the sun and the stars from wheeling around in the sky above. One half of the world is plunged into eternal night only to become a frozen waste, the other half left to bake under the relentless heat until nothing but desert remains.
It'd be a cool game to play and fight in a world under such a curse: where the kingdom is trapped at the meridian between night and day, where the environment changes not from time but rather by where you traveled to— eastwards into night, or westwards into daylight.
Think of the possibilities: fearsome storms coming from the west as the sun boils the seas and streams the vapor into the shadowed side; trade disputes over food from the west and water from the east; a population crisis as survivors seek refuge at the meridian and are forced to fight over ever-decreasing parcels of land.
Sounds all rather troublesome to me.

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.
