Re: Alduin
Dovahkiin is dragonborn and kills dragons. hense I think Alduin will merely be a slightly larger dragon to the others and will act as a Dagoth ur type villian. at least in terms of his godliness anyway.

Re: Alduin
And then they could do something like what Nintendo did with Metroid post-Fusion, and start releasing tons of prequels.S13Kuro wrote:It'd be a pretty good cliff hanger to end on. And make the next game the subject of speculation to no end. What exactly would we see after it all? Once the world's rebuilt etc. Is it just Skyrim which gets reset or the entire planet?

Re: Alduin
this is an outrage, they showed Alduin and he looks, not inspiring at all. Hes just a black dragon with an excessive amount of spikes/spines, really? That's the best they can do? I hope its just one of the Jill.

Re: Alduin
Ha, I love this thread.
I think that both the Imperial religion and the Nordic religion are right; they do have the same gods anyways. Where did you read that Alduin claims to have created the whole Mundus by himself?
Oh right, I believe that Alduin is the super-evil force that manipulates people and makes his dragons cause havoc all the way to the end, where you finally find him and banish him back to wherever the Aedra go to. But the thing is, why would he be hiding? He is a god.. why not just eat the whole world and be done with it? Maybe Alduin isn't in the mortal plane at all, and needs to be let in somehow. (Oblivion anyone?
)
So yeah, either Alduin isn't in Mundus yet, or he has to wait for his powers to grow for some time.
Another thing that came in to my mind: Walking around in a giant dragon form must be hard, so I bet Alduin can transform into a human form (The other Et'Ada can). Maybe he is even using this power to hide. Maybe Alduin is some human person we've known for most of the game, someone close, someone who has been friendly to us and who has been teaching and helping us and using us to further help his cause.. Esbern!

Masser and Secunda seem to change orbits and revolve around eachother in a merry dance. Time seems to stretch on as if in a dream--
Like a celestial sperm, Alduin splurts out between the moons, and descends upon the peak, squashing Thadon in sacrifice. With many a cutting jib and thrust/parry/thrust, and 5 successive QTE sequences, you drive sword into Alduin's brain-mush. Alduin's spirit speaks to you telepathically that it is you who were the world eater all along, and that he was the Dragonborn. (I mean, literally, duh! We thought "World-Eater" was literal, but "Dragonborn" was just fluffy hyperbole? How wrong we were.)
The moons get bigger as they continue to dance toward Mundus. Without the massive dragon to buffet the moons away with his impressive wings, you realize you have just destroyed Tamriel. GG.
That is awesome
