Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
"Would you rather climb around the trees in this type of weather?" Valentin asked. "Even while beside you under a blanket in the tent, I was shivering. I just hope this extreme cold calms down. Maybe we'll reach some tropical paradise later on."
"Uhh...Shut up, Beavis!"

"Perhaps..." Aarys agreed. She grabbed her rifle, loaded it an checked the sights. "I wonder what our next move is, though. Empire City is our eventual destination, but. We are hardly in any shape to attack the Three... Yet, in any case."

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
"As we explained many months ago when we first rescued you," Logan said to Aarys. "We don't know where the Three are. We don't even know if they're together! Right now, we're on the run from the ICA. We've gotta find some type of radio and try to contact any other rebels from the estate that are still scattered around the area. There's still small, mortal-controlled hamlets that dot the countryside. But the people there are mad, and they never trust outsiders."
Logan rolled up his tent and mounted it firmly on a cart he had crafted during the past few hours while everyone else was sleeping. The cart was made from the remains of the two cars. "But this place is dangerous as hell. This entire area is Centaur territory. Centaurs are big, half-man half-horse monsters. They use some seriously powerful guns, and they're almost as evil as the Immortal Commission itself." Logan narrowed his eyes. "They get some kinda sick pleasure our of torturing men and raping women."
"HEY!" Drago called from one of the trees. "Hurry up! The snow's comin' down harder! It's gettin' tough to see!"
Logan turned to Aarys and Valentin. "You two go into your tent and gather your blankets and sleeping bags. Bring them out here and put them on this cart. Hurry!" He then looked at Hremai. "Hremai! Get your lazy ass up and gather your stuff!"

Aarys nodded, disappearing into the tent. She emerged a moment later with an armload of blankets. She set them in the cart.

"Drat. Still not dead," Hremai mumbled as she entered the tent, packing up her stuff haphazardly before reappearing outside.
"There. Happy now, are ya?" she said, a rebellious tone beneath her words.

"It's scratchy. And since we're nowhere near anyone who can be further demoralized by a blind eye (which was kind of a stupid reason to begin with), I'll just say no. It's not like anyone here haven't seen it before," Hremai said, crossing her arms.

"Would you like your eye healed?" the One asked Hremai simply.

Valentin put his arm around Aarys and leaned his head against hers. He incoherently mumbled something before dozing off. He was falling alseep while standing up.

Aarys sighed demonstratively, before smiling and slipping an arm around Valentin.

"You put up with a lot of my crap." Valentin whispered to Aarys. "I need to stop being a pain, don't I?"

Re: Andia: The Revolution (WWII-ish fantasy roleplay)
Aarys glanced at him sharply, surprised. "You haven't been that bad, Valentin." She kissed him lightly on the cheek. "And you more than make up for it with... everything else you do..." She kissed him again, on the lips this time and more deeply. After a moment, she slowly eased away. "Really. Don't worry about it. God knows, if this is going to work, we're going to have to put up with each other's crap from time to time."

"But you don't have any crap for me to put up with." Valentin said, waking up a bit from the kiss. "What can I do to...I dunno, make you happier?"

"Valentin, I just want you to be you. If I wanted anything else, I wouldn't be with you. And..." Aarys looked away from him slightly. "I'm not perfect, Valentin."

"Umm... you guys? There are other people present." Ashriel chirped.

Ring-a-ding, baby.

Valentin ignored Ashriel completely and ran his fingers through Aarys' hair. "You are perfect in my eyes." he said. "If you're ever feeling unhappy or angry with me, feel free to let me know. I'd beat the hell out of myself if you asked me to."

"Does that apply to close friends?" Ashriel asked.

Valentin cleared his throat. "It'd be best if you quieted down, Ash." he said without taking his eyes off Aarys.

Aarys seemed to be at a loss for words. "I... Okay." She felt unbelievably fortunate that she had Valentin. She threw her arms around his shoulders and embraced him.

" 'Course..." He said to Valentin, "I just hope you can." Ashriel finished gleefully.

"Would you think less of me if I punched him in the face?" Valentin whispered into Aarys' ear.
