I like Balmora over Vivec any day. It's like why I live in Melbourne rather than Orlando. Bigger city has more traffic and it's harder to navigate. Too easy to make a wrong turn and get off track.

Balmora is centrally located and you can get a bug bus or catch a ride at the mage's guild to just about any connecting station you need. Ald-ruhn is an ok place to visit, but the people are a bit stuffy.

I'll avoid any city that spawns albinos who wield demonic runeswords, thank you.

I wasn't saying the city was good only the fact that it is in the best country. And yes avoid Melbourne thats where all the freeks come from.

Tel Vos is the place with the Dwemer Museum (and the hidden doors  )

If you mean the Morag Tong, then that is in the city of Vivec, the Arena canton.

old alchemist, it's a game right? of COURSE his mother is proud. and yours is proud of your 500+ posts, and mine is proud that i'm a level 67 nord harvesting the internet for the obscure nooks i missed during the numerous hours spent playing this game since i got it at the beginning of november.

honestly, i think he was bragging to people like us and it's quite unlikely his mother has any idea that he's the god and king of morrowind.

so, to aforementioned godking, isn't it a bit lonely? i mean, what's a king without his subjects? a god without his alter-lickers?

that may be true, but your mom is prouder of me than she is of you.

*comes back with a momma joke* YHWH

p.s. favorite town is mournhold... c'mon. that town rules. no confusing alleys, all the dwarven darts you can shake a dwarven dart at, and an entourage that includes

(1) a tail-thumping scrib (2) a skooma-smugglin' packrat and (3) the morrowind equivalent of robin the boywonder. i mean seriously, is there anyway to keep that "mercenary" from dying?

then of course there's plenty of good spots for a squatter to hang his helm and with that handy fabricant summoning ring, you can use mark/recall on tasks besides dumping loot at the homestead.

If his mother doesn't know, perhaps he should call her more often. Really, is it so hard to pick up a phone?

When the heck did I pass 500 posts? It seems like only yesterday I was posting about crates in Ghorak Manor.

and how about those crates? some pretty sweet orc armor in those crates...

~

at the risk of being dragged through the forum for getting off the topic (which seems to outweigh the risk of being publicly shamed for posting a new topic after a paltry 3 posts)

why is it that i've only found 8 pieces of adamantium?

i'm fairly sure i plumbed the depths of mournhold's sewers and yet?

not that i NEED custom adamantium armor... but, well, you know....

I don't know what it was about those crates that made me break down, get an account, and start posting, but they did it for me. The rest is history.

It's my experience that you can get off-topic as long as your post can relate back to the game and offer something to readers. That's especially important in some of these topics that have a lot of drift. I'm going to give you some on-topic information about admantium armor, but I'm going to balance it out by making a crazy and witty reference to my boozin' lifestyle at the end.

Now, I only play the vanilla version of the game (no expansions), so I don't know what's in Mournhold, but I do know that in the main game, you can get a plug-in from Bethesda that adds Admantium armor in the Foreign Quarter in Vivec. You know the two blacksmiths up there in the plaza? Well the one that has crappy inventory suddenly has a ton of new armor with the plug-in.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm of to do body shots with an ogrimm titan. It's nasty, but their navels hold a huge amount of tequila.

There is a fair amount of Adamantium ore to be found under Mournhold, found -

Norenen-dur: The Teeth that Gnash
Old Mournhold: Temple Crypt
Old Mournhold: Temple Catacombs
Old Mournhold: Armory Ruins

Mournhold Map 1 <<<<<<clicky
Mournhold Map 2 <<<<<<clicky

Getting it custom made is expensive, and is no different to the normal armor. One thing to consider is Apelles Matius in Ebonheart has a set minus the helm, and after you have been to Mournhold you don't need him any more, so perhaps a bit of an argument (taunt) with him will get him to attack you. :)

The Helm can be found in the courtyard of Moril Manor under Mournhold.

Technically custom made armor should be better because it was made for you, and therefore fits perfectly.

Unless, of course, the armorer is a hack or your body shape counters the basic defensive properties of the armor material. i.e. big fat beer belly sticking out.

Sometimes it's just better to buy off the rack.

Not ot get on-topic or anything, but my favorite town would be a tie between Caldera and Suran. The reasons for Caldera include Creeper, Ghorak Manor with its stealable loot, the Hlormaren Index, and the Mansion on the hill. Reason for Suran, well... let's just say it has two stories and red lights.

I would have to say Seyda Neen, my house is always there and I love the small town feel, and seeing the dead body of Fargoth on the bridge always brings a smile
