Re: Skyrim Character Presets - All 10 Races
I doubt it. The races will likely have a fixed height, like in Oblivion, so that the clothing can be "custom fitted".

I'm not sure, I suspect each race may have a preset height.

Tall, muscley Argonians. Tall, muscley Khajiit. Even if it was just a slight change in height to give it a bit of differentiation.

They could be adopting a system similar to Guild Wars, where certain classes had a height 'range' (substitute Classes for races), so you could make the tallest Bosmer, but he'd be shorter than the tallest Nord or Altmer (inversely, the shortest Altmer would be a similar height to a below average Dunmer)

No they weren't. They had different shaped faces and features.ronenum wrote:I found these eariler today and was blown away. Whereas the oblivion dunmer were simply blue imperials, the races in skyrim really do look distinct now. Cannot. Wait.

I'm really liking the look of the Argonions!
Khajit too, though I think the necks on the females look too long (or the heads are too short), hopefully something we can customise…

There is one thing I wonder...Overwatch wrote:I saw the same thing!! I jumped for joy when I noticed thatKavatch99 wrote:<sobs at their beauty>
I noticed on the Redguard face page, second from right on the top row, that redguard has two blind eyes.
It seems that one of the Dunmer has two blind eyes as well (Top row, middle)
How would you rp the blind character as being able to read the books? Pretend that it's in Braille and the game just translate for us? Or pretend that someone is reading the text for the blind character?
I guess my blind Breton girl will have to be a battlemage. It will be fun, though. Shooting fire and swinging a sword.

Class? What is this thing you speak of?Chaos the N'wah wrote:They could be adopting a system similar to Guild Wars, where certain classes had a height 'range' (substitute Classes for races), so you could make the tallest Bosmer, but he'd be shorter than the tallest Nord or Altmer (inversely, the shortest Altmer would be a similar height to a below average Dunmer)

Try to keep up, Guild Wars has a "Profession" system which are the classes

Keep up? There are no classes in Skyrim, nor any announced "professions".

Thats not what he meantThey could be adopting a system similar to Guild Wars, where certain classes had a height 'range' (substitute Classes for races),
He meant class as the race, so the tallest wood elf would not be as tall as any of the other tallest

Re: Skyrim Character Presets - All 10 Races
To be honest, in my opinion, the elven presets look absolutely ugly.
And the Argonian presets are just scary...
Khajiit are simply adorable... Not just because I'm a Khajiit fan. >.>
The Nords, Imperials and Bretons don't look bad...

How could a sane person live in this world and not be crazy?
