There is no armourer in Skyrim. There is Smithing under the 18 confirmed skills from the wiki.
Know what? This [&@%!] me off about RPGs. Diablo and the ES series, everything degraded. I understand keeping some notion of realism, but looks like they found a practical alternative.
Repairing always felt kind of annoying to me, and I like that they're focusing on allow you to make your weapon better than to just keep it and maintain it at a single level.
Bunch of entitled kids that want to [&@%!] and moan about everything that has changed before being able to see first hand if the change is good or not.
Out of the 30 or so reviews from people that have played the game, only one was complaining, and their info was basically bunk. Everyone else loves the game and has withdrawl syndrome when they have to stop playing when time is up.
If I was bethesda I would shut off the spiggot. Everyone that is whining is gonna buy the game and play it anyways.

Couldn't agree more, UESP is a way better forum! Sensible discussion instead of ridiculous overreaction! There was a thread of Beth forums the other day about the size changes in ears!! Also the mods here do a proper job and we don't get the level of abuse or the crazy number of threads about the exact same thing you do there!

Armourer as it was, was a little bit underdone, so anything they've done to try and improve it will most likely be a nice evolution of the whole concept. Creating weapons/armour from scratch will be a very interesting and hopefully satisfying aspect. I'd much rather wear something that I actually made from raw materials and needed to experiment with what worked and all that good stuff. And being able to make superior items to anything you can find because you've taken 200% care with it because you'll be the one in it, rather than some random blacksmith who makes it for a living. I'm going to relish the time I spend finding materials, ingredients, recipes, and then forging the two longswords I'll be making for my duel wielder. Seriously, I'm trying to come up with names and overall looks in my head of what I'll do if I can. Hopefully the whole smithing aspect is pretty deep and allows some form of customisation.

I know that, I mean that the Armourer skill of Oblivion is now used to upgrade weapons .
But I have new info, in a recent Q&A a person asked about this, and the response was that it's a possibility that armour will still degrade, but the focus is on upgrading and altering.
People, I don't normally hang around in Skyrim, but I've come in here because of a report. We don't want to harbour negative sentiments towards anyone else, thanks. Part of what makes this place great for me is that we are tolerant of everyone, so please don't randomly flame other communities behind their backs, especially when it's so offtopic. Thank you, and good hunting. Literally. With your Skyrim weapons.

A bit more info about dual wielding weapons from a a Pete Tweet:
Frozgaar Jon Croak @DCDeacon Question. What makes dual wielding 2 swords without blocking viable in the game since 2 handed swords can block? Any advantages?
@DCDeacon Pete Hines @Frozgaar You get to power attack with either weapon AND the ability to do a combined power attack using both weapons at once.

A Power attack using dualwielding? That sounds fantastic!
I hope it's like a dazzlin flourish when doing so.
I know this is almost a necro-post, but I didn't want to start a new thread for just one question, and this is the closest type of thread I could find.
Dual-Wileding does not have it's own skill tree does it?
So there are no Dual-Wield specific perks?
I only recall there being one-handed and two-handed weapon skill tree's.
Not sure if I am correct, but it's kinda lame if I am.
Any answers would be appreciated.

I'm not positive, but I think the dual wielding perks are part of the one handed skill tree. The demo footage kind of supports this, when the player is in the cave fighting a Redgaurd bandit while dual wielding swords, there's a pop up for 'One Handed Skill Increased.' It's in part two of the demo, if you want to check it out.

I hope there is one handed hammers. The ability to use a shield as well as caving in some bandits face would be immense. But so too would being able to dual wield with a short sword and hammer. It would be a great combo, knock them of balance and then run 'em though. That would look awsone in slow motion as a finishing move.

There is a one handed hammer, though not sure how many. I only saw what looked like a Nordic 'battle hammer' [what the staff called it] when I played, but I never managed to pick it up. But I'm almost 100% sure it was a one handed hammer, but the acolytes of Stendarr are just too strong to kill at level 1.
