Voices of Skyrim

Post by Bane of Oblivion »

Have there been any confirmed voice actors for Skyrim yet? I know of Max von Sydow, Jim Cummings, and possibly Jeff Baker.

Jim Cummings has been confirmed by a journalist who played the Quakecon hands on.

Anyone know if Lynda Carter will be one of the actors in Skyrim?

I'd love to see some Ron Perlman voicing in this game. He's always great at anything he lends his voice to.

Any word on who did the dragon voices? I think I can hear it right after they breathe fire, it sounds like a very quiet, reptilian sounding "hahshaaa", or something. Personaly, I think a voice like Steve Blums would fit a hissy, gritty reptilian sound better than, say, Sir Christopher Lee. Maybe it is just me, but dragons with deep voices seem a little too cliche. Opinions?

Alan Rickman or Jeremey Iron would be awesome in Skyrim.

Are you saying that Sean Bean and Brian Blessed are in in Skyrim or that you want them in it, mars?

Sean Bean for sure! He had a great voice. I think Brad Dourif would be good voice for those shady characters. Thieves guild anyone?

Oh yes Andy Serkis! He did the Witch-King of Angmar's voice! Well of course Gollum's too. He did Caesar's voice for Rise of the Planet of the Apes. His voice was super deep and raspy in the 2 times he spoke.

Yeah I would love to have Sean Bean back as another character. Preferably one who doesn't die too soon, lol.

The only problem with having your favorite movie star add their voice to Skyrim is that it costs a LOT of money, and, quite frankly, while I did enjoy aiding Boromir with saving the world and all, there were some parts I couldn't help but think he could do better. Some solid B list voice actors are all you need to have a immersive gaming experience. And Morgan Freeman? Seriously? Don't you think his voice is just a little overrated? Not to mention that hiring him would cost more than all the profit Bethesda will get from Skyrim.

Wes Johnson is back! Among others, of course. Check IMDB for Skyrim.

Okay now I'm trying to imagine what kind of character he's gonna play.

Needless to say, I won't be taking them seriously.

I suggest you look up his filmography. He's done a hell of a lot more than Winnie, FYI.
